Regular Member another Posted March 16, 2014 Author Regular Member Share Posted March 16, 2014 Thanks for your comments. Of course the outcome is more important than where the HT is done. At this point there is nothing much to do about this than accepting the result and hoping for more growth. I don't want to start blaming anyone for the result because as I said there are so many factors from the patient's side as well that can affect the final result. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/174447-4000-fue-grafts-dr-maral.html
Senior Member Khali Posted March 16, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted March 16, 2014 This is not a hair transplant failure. His 4000 grafts have been spread all over his scalp. On top of that the density here isn't higher than 30 grafts per cm.
Regular Member roimirka Posted March 16, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted March 16, 2014 No one will argue that this is a failure for this reasons - showing full density - scalp not visible - 4000 grafts and not less - very good result - less than 50% grow - not natural hair line and whatever chrisdav has noticed. I don't know why ANOTHER is not blaming dr maral

All these superstar transplant have candidates with high density, good donors, and they cover areas which are much smaller.

Senior Member Khali Posted March 16, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted March 16, 2014 This transplant will require a second procedure with 3000 more grafts. Again 4000 is expanded to in a large area. Look at this result here. Norwood 7 HT with Dr Maral, Istanbul - Forum By and for Hair Loss Patients
Regular Member another Posted March 16, 2014 Author Regular Member Share Posted March 16, 2014 Thank you for your comments. I just want to say that I don't really care whether its 4000 grafts or 2000 grafts. For me this is ok as I can clearly see a positive change. I am not and never was expecting my 10 years ago density, all I wanted a bit of hairline and a bit of hair, or just a decent illusion of hair. I got what I wanted and maybe it will even improve as I am at 11 months mark only. Further I have never questioned Dr. Maral or his team whether they have really planted those 4000 grafts as promised, I know they have extracted 4000 grafts and they did plant 4000 grafts. Thank you. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/174447-4000-fue-grafts-dr-maral.html

Senior Member fredifredo Posted March 20, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted March 20, 2014 friend you are fooling yourself with your result take a look around on this website for 4000 graft result MODERATORS Is it possible top stop that Roimirka / llvlludassar (obviously the same person) posting his shit on EVERY Maral's patient ? This Roimirka account was created at the same time llvlludassar stopped posting his shit on his thread and was blocked, and all of the 20 first messages by Roimeirka were posted to discredit Maral's clinic and Maral's patients. It's enough... This is a forum to help each other; not for one poor guy to settle up with a surgeon.
Senior Member fredifredo Posted March 20, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted March 20, 2014 I think a surgeon is far better targeting a smaller area with 4000 grafts on higher Norwood patients instead of trying to spread them over the entire surface area as coverage is just too light in my opinion. I have seen some recommended surgeons do it and I question their reasoning for it. Another, Dr Maras should have just tried to hit the frontal to midsection in one surgery and then target another area with a second surgery and possibly reinforce the first surgery if necessary. A transplanted crown alone can eat up a high percentage of a donor supply and look thin. Hi "another" and "Chrisdav". I agree with what "Chrisdav" says about the target of a 1st FUE when you start FUE once you've reached a high Norwood : The surgeon definetly knows it will need at least 2 surgeries to get a good result. Why don't they hit one area , then the other later, to get a good density ? I suppose the question is about the "natural result" for patients when going back to work, and the pressure of patients. We all dream of having the best covering result on our entire head, right after the 1st FUE. "Another" I suppose Dr Maral told you that you would need a 2nd surgery one year later, as I've shared the clinic with 2 guys with very high Norwood, and Dr Maral told them in front of me that they had to come back for a 2nd surgery one year later, to be really satisfied. However your frontside looks much better now than it was... That might be a good point for you when you look in the mirror every morning, and give you much self confidence. I would finally say objectively, after reading many posts from Maral's patients, that Maral's klinik gives much better results for people coming with a Norwood from 2 to 4, more than people with Norwood 6 / 7... what sounds actually normal. lol
Senior Member Ali Emre Karadeniz Posted March 20, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted March 20, 2014 I see a different story with these kind of patients. Patients who are Norwood 5 or more should start with a strip. Infact almost everyone should start with a strip. Each donor area has a potential for 2 strips and 2 good FUE sessions, but only if you start with a strip. If you start with 2 FUE sessions you don't have much left. In my experience, starting with FUE sacrifices atleast 30% of total graft potential which is just unacceptable for most cases. FUE surgeons can not achieve results of strip surgeons. Surgeons who can do both have a great advantage. A combined procedure of strip+FUE for 5000+ grafts would have given a much more robust result. Don't forget that in a 4000 graft FUE operation you can hardly get more than 8000-8500 hairs whereas a combined procedure for more than 5000 grafts would probably give about 12000 hairs. The combined proedure can even be repeated the following year. Ali Emre Karadeniz, MD (Dr. K) AEK Hair Institute Istanbul, Turkey
Bill - Seemiller
roimrka, I've done some investigating on your account and see that practically every time you post, you have a new IP address. While dynamic IP addresses are not uncommon, a single ISP typically provides dynamic IP addresses that all revolve around a similar location. In your case, your IP addresses are all over the world. For instance, I checked 4 of your IP addresses and they range from the Netherlands, to Romania, to France to California. The above indicates that you are spoofing your IP address and/or using a proxy to keep your real location and identity hidden. This is in violation of our terms of service. Many members of this community have reported your posts and believe you are the same poster lvlludassar simply hiding behind another name. I agree with you concerning the strip for high Norwood people : starting with the strip method obviously offers more possibility later. Now I can't agree when you oppose 'FUE surgeons' results, and 'FUT surgeons' results. Some very good FUE surgeons have shown ability to have incredible results, even on high Norwood, by only using FUE method. In Europe, Drs Koray Erdogan, Lupenzula, Feriduni are 3 of them... (though Feriduni still practice FUT sometimes). But of course, you have to pay quite a high price for it.

abcd0000
I don't know why is there so much animosity about Dr. Maral. It is one of the cheap--or let's say affordable--HT clinics, among many, in Turkey. Maral's technicians provide decent work, especially compared to the money paid. My experience with them was great and I warmly recommend his clinic. There is an economic logic behind their low prices and I hope Turkey will help lower the generally overblown prices in the industry. Let us also not forget that, while there are many top notch surgeons recommended on this site, there are also others (I have noticed Dr. Maras in Cyprus and Dr. Humayun in Pakistan) who consistently produce subpar results, way below what you get with Dr. Maral, but they are paying their fees, so they are never criticized. Lastly, I really dislike bashing this guy for his results. Having a HT is a major decision and all of us who went through it know how vulnerable one can get until the results stabilize. Please guys, let us support each other and remain civil. Everyone is free to make their own decisions and take responsibility for them.
Senior Member Britanium Posted March 21, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted March 21, 2014 Well said ABCD - I have seen poor results from all Ht drs. From the most expensive to the very cheapest. Dr Maral does seem to be taking a bashing recently. Although from genuine posters he is producing some good work.
Regular Member another Posted April 10, 2014 Author Regular Member Share Posted April 10, 2014 Hello I had my HT exactly 12 months ago. 7 months ago I have noticed a cyst (see pic) and I was wondering if anyone knows what it could be. It feels like a hard dot when I touch it, it is not paining and it is not sensitive. 7 months ago when I first noticed it I was advised that it is a new hair that tries to come out and that this will go away in 1-2 months but it has been over 7 months now and the cyst is still the same with no any changes. Please advise. Thank you. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/174447-4000-fue-grafts-dr-maral.html
abcd0000
Hmmmm... Sounds like a good question for a dermatologist. I did have some ingrown (or let's say, hindered) hair that used to cause similar big cysts, but they would fade away after a month or so. My--very risky and completely inadequate--method was to squeeze/rub it a bit and clean it often with alcohol or hydrogen, with the idea that that might somehow help the struggling follicle find its place and fight the surrounding infection. But I have NO medical knowledge and please don't do what I did. Ask a specialist.
Regular Member another Posted April 11, 2014 Author Regular Member Share Posted April 11, 2014 Hello abcd0000 Thanks for your reply. I have spoken to a dermatologist and he was advising me to contact the HT doctor. Dr. Maral said in September that cyst is normal and that the hair will grow out in 1-2 months and last month in March advised to wait another 3 months, but I don't feel like anything changes and wanted to get a second opinion from other users or doctors here. Thanks. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/174447-4000-fue-grafts-dr-maral.html
abcd0000
Sure. I think applying a disinfectant cannot hurt and in my experience that is a pretty efficient way to fight inflamed skin. Good luck
