Senior Member cueball35 Posted December 11, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted December 11, 2013 Hi Guys, Im a week out from HT number 2, im attaching some pics of the work done on my crown and also a 12 month update from the first one. Not much of a writer so i'll leave the pics tell the story so far. I intend to update monthly to hopefully give some guys who want crown work done an idea of what to expect. I understand its a tough area to cover but im hoping the 2350 transplanted will give a nice cosmetic improvement in 12 months time 4510 FUSS Dr Feriduni December 2012 2350 FUSS Dr Feriduni December 2013 HT 1:Total Grafts 4510: Singles 715, Doubles 2123, Triples 1369, Quads 303 ( 10,280 Hairs ) HT 2:Total Grafts 2352: Singles 350, Doubles 1601, Triples 401, ( 4,755 Hairs )

Senior Member chrisdav Posted December 11, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted December 11, 2013 Cueball, Your result from your first surgery is very impressive and I can imagine it was worth every penny. Back in the chair for the second surgery to finish the job  Keep us posted. 2 poor unsatisfactory hair transplants performed in the UK. Based on vast research and meeting patients, I travelled to see Dr Feller in New York to get repaired.
Senior Member cueball35 Posted December 13, 2013 Author Senior Member Share Posted December 13, 2013 Thanks Lads! 10 Days post op now and wanted to add these 2 pics ( before the hairs fall out) to show the making of the whorl pattern and the different angles of the transplanted hairs in the crown. Dr Feriduni mentioned that he enjoys doing crown work as it requires a bit or artistic work when he's doing the incisions! 4510 FUSS Dr Feriduni December 2012 2350 FUSS Dr Feriduni December 2013 HT 1:Total Grafts 4510: Singles 715, Doubles 2123, Triples 1369, Quads 303 ( 10,280 Hairs ) HT 2:Total Grafts 2352: Singles 350, Doubles 1601, Triples 401, ( 4,755 Hairs )
Senior Member JohnnyDrama Posted December 13, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted December 13, 2013 Looking good mate. You'll have to change your name to HairyBall35 though! Out of interest, have you maxed out FUT now, or could you go again? Out of interest, have you maxed out FUT now, or could you go again? Did you discuss with the doc about what options are there if you were to ever go for more, eg FUE etc? lol Johnny I cant believe how time has flown by, i remember been totally depressed about my hair around 2011 and started seriously considering a HT, nearly made the cardinal error of rushing into an op with an Irish surgeon who has since gone AWOL!! Luckily i found this site! I had an idea that id need a minimum of 7000 grafts over 2 sessions to get a decent result, so fast forward 2 years and ive got 6860 of them transplanted, happy days. Doc said id have a conservative 2000 FUE grafts left, ive maxed out FUT, he did advise maybe doing 1000 FUE at a time if i wanted more work done rather than doing 2000 more in the one op. I see your coming on to 4 months now, hows your hair now for d xmas party season? This will be my 2nd xmas without being able to socialise, on the flip side im hoping to enjoy my hair in the summer months just like i did this year 4510 FUSS Dr Feriduni December 2012 2350 FUSS Dr Feriduni December 2013 HT 1:Total Grafts 4510: Singles 715, Doubles 2123, Triples 1369, Quads 303 ( 10,280 Hairs ) HT 2:Total Grafts 2352: Singles 350, Doubles 1601, Triples 401, ( 4,755 Hairs )

I started rubbing the scalp pretty hard once i hit the 1 month, hairs are still shedding now but not as many as before, another month or 2 of this ugly duckling phase to go before i hopefully see some growth emerging, growth started just after 2 months for my first procedure so hoping the same this time, although im not using propecia this time having suffered terrible sides. I take msm and biotin daily which hopefully gives the hairs a boost, they are certainly making my nails grow like crazy! 4510 FUSS Dr Feriduni December 2012 2350 FUSS Dr Feriduni December 2013 HT 1:Total Grafts 4510: Singles 715, Doubles 2123, Triples 1369, Quads 303 ( 10,280 Hairs ) HT 2:Total Grafts 2352: Singles 350, Doubles 1601, Triples 401, ( 4,755 Hairs )

Senior Member TommyLucchese Posted February 2, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted February 2, 2014 After your post in a new thread I'm reading I decided to have a look at your journey. F*****g amazing pal, you must be so happy! Can't wait to see the results for your crown. 2,000 grafts FUT Dr. Feller, July 27th 2012. 23 years old at the time. Excellent result. Need crown sorted eventually but concealer works well for now. Propecia and minoxidil since 2010. Fine for 8 years - bad sides after switching to Aindeem in 2018. Switched to topical fin/minox combo from Minoxidil Max in October 2020, along with dermarolling 1x a week. Senior Member Cant decide Posted February 6, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted February 6, 2014 Cue - How large was the crown area that you had covered? Did you have a choice to leave the bottom ungrafted in order to add more density to the rest or you wanted even coverage throughout? Did you have a choice to leave the bottom ungrafted in order to add more density to the rest or you wanted even coverage throughout? To be honest with you i havnt a clue mate, I just told the doctor to put in as many grafts as he could get from my donor and i let it up to him to design it all. He did mention that he planted a greater density at the top half of the crown and less at the bottom but i dont have the numbers per cm2 etc! Im pretty certain that i'll need to go back again a third time and hit some weak areas with fue. Yes mate, I still got a little redness but one pic with the flash makes it look a lot redder than it is in reality, its really only in the last week that things have started to happen, i found the ugly duckling phase a lot tougher this time round which is strange considering i had a smaller session. 4510 FUSS Dr Feriduni December 2012 2350 FUSS Dr Feriduni December 2013 HT 1:Total Grafts 4510: Singles 715, Doubles 2123, Triples 1369, Quads 303 ( 10,280 Hairs ) HT 2:Total Grafts 2352: Singles 350, Doubles 1601, Triples 401, ( 4,755 Hairs )
