Regular Member FergieFC Posted December 9, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted December 9, 2013 I have been on 1.25mg fin(Proscar), Minoxidil, Laser haircomb for 2 months and 21days .I'm 22 years old. Before i started it i was at nw1 just normal shedding and just receding. I wanted to prevent for further loss and started proscar and minoxidil. In this 2 months period i just got a big shed,no stop,no regrowth the only thing i chaged was about a month ago i swap lipogaine minoxidi for kirkland minoxidil,..i also started nizoral shampoo 2%(only twice a week) about 3weeks ago. I know everyone goes through a shedding phase for about 4 months but is it suppose to be this bad i have before and after pictures below and im freaking out at the moment i dont know if i should drop them or not?????? abcd0000
Of all the things you mentioned, I would ditch Nizoral first and see what happens. The other two never seem to cause serious damage (I just had a shed with Finasteride so I know how it can make you freak out, but it stopped after a few days). Of course, this would be a good time to consult a specialist or some of the HT doctors. Hopefully some of them will see your topic.
Senior Member Spanker Posted December 9, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted December 9, 2013 I ditched niz too. It wasn't good for my hair. I would take those photos with a grain of salt. Lenght, lighting, and angle make a huge difference and you likely have not seen a change as dramatic as the photos seem. Stick with the fin and ride it out as it will be the best for you in the long run. Regular Member FergieFC Posted December 9, 2013 Author Regular Member Share Posted December 9, 2013 Thanks lads for the feedback. I'll stick with fin and minox for now and stop the nizoral. Would i grow the hair i lost with Nizoral back? have you got any alternative shampoo instead of nizoral like will i use shampoo with ketoconazole or not? I have really thin hair and i guess you can say its kinda diffuse thinning. Also how many times should i wash my hair a week? Thanks again. Senior Member Spanker Posted December 9, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted December 9, 2013 I wash my hair daily. I have seen some doctors recommend Head and Shoulders 2 in 1 for the benefit of the zinc.
