how much per grafts?

Hello, I'm seeking advice regarding oral minoxidil. I've been taking 2.5mg for a year along with 1mg of finasteride, but I haven't seen any results. My eyelashes seem to have thickened, according to the wive, but I'm not concerned about that. I'm contemplating increasing my minoxidil dosage to 2.5mg twice a day – morning and night. Has anyone tried this and noticed improvements?

Hey everyone, I've been a member of this website for ten years now, I've been dealing with thin, diffuse hair for years now, and never liked the idea of taking meds for hair as i didn't want side effects and about a year ago i gave in, I started using finasteride 1mg and oral minoxidil 2.5mg everyday from SONS. While I'm relieved that I haven't experienced any side effects, I haven't seen any significant changes in my hair's thickness or overall appearance. I was hoping to get some advice from this community. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Any tips or recommendations on what I should do next or what other options I could explore?

Well thanks for sharing! I will give my honest result within the next few months only time will tell. But for godsake can you please stop with all this negativity i'm only after getting the hair transplant 3 weeks ago! I really do have sympathy for does guys in the picture but If you want to show bad results start a new thread I don't want to see this in my thread at this moment in time, everything has been positive so far my hair is looking good and the clinic have been helpful contacting me every week. Believe me if the hair transplant is a bad result I will post it and wont hold back. But I've high hopes and everything is going great so far. I will definitely keep yous up to date on my progress month by month I wont vanish like the other guy in this forum who got a hair transplant with IOH he seems to have crawled under a rock.

Day 10 These photos were taking yesterday, Donor area is healing fast, Recipient area all the scabs fell off day 7-8, small bit of redness on the recipient area but its barley visible. dreading the shock loss now in the next coming weeks as I quite like my new hairline. also they're were a few questions last week that you were asking that I didn't have a great understanding about so I contacted IOH and they were kind to answer about the keep method and microscope after extraction.

Hello lads, I've been a long time lurker on this site now for about 5 years now, I never really posted anything I just came on here to look at results by different surgeons. My story goes I got a HT at the age of just 21. I know I was way to young to have a transplant at that age and the doctors shouldn't of preformed the surgery but I didn't at the time have a great understanding of the way hair transplant worked and what looks natural, density etc. I just seen a great deal for 1000 grafts and went for it I wanted to lower my hairline at the time which was a mistake. So after 5 years of endless research and looking to which surgeon to pick I narrowed it down to IOH in Istanbul and HLC in Ankara, I got quoted 2700grafts by both, In the end I picked Institute of Hair (IOH) all though they are only a new clinic any results I found were top class and the price was only €1.50 per graft and when I found out IOH only do manual FUE it was a no brainier i always found judging results online manual FUE left the donor scaring smaller and a overall better result just my opinion. The surgeon and all the technicians form IOH worked in ASMED before leaving and setting up IOH. I emailed the clinic before xmas and was booked in for March 8th-10th 2018 March 8th I arrived in ataturk airport on a thursday and I drove to the clinic, When I got there I met Cagla who I was emailing back and forth over the past few months. She basically set up everything for me she was the coordinator. She really made me feel welcome I couldn't of asked for a nicer coordinator she was fantastic. So after she showed me around I met the surgeon and the technicians. Elif and Mustafa were the surgeons. Elif was the leader though she started making out the measurements on my head and telling me what she can do to repair my old HT I got and that i needed to bring the hairline back in order to get a more natural look and that i needed 2700grafts. Bloods were taking and My Pictures were taking and then the part I was dreading shaving my head. After all that the surgery was the next day at 7am I was driven back to my hotel were I was staying at the double tree by the Hilton. March 9th I got collected form the hotel and then drove to the clinic, started the operation at 8am, they gave me local anesthesia to the back of the head, It wasn't painful it just felt weird after 10mins i couldn't feel a thing. Elif began manual extracting the hair form the back of my head it was painless,Elif didnt extract any grafts were i had the previous transplant as it was already noticeable and i didn't want any grafts taking form there you can see in the picture below. At around 12:30pm I stopped for lunch. At 1pm they continued to manual extract the grafts and the grafts that needed to come out form my old HT as you can see below in the pictures the tiny red dots just below my hairline. After all that local anesthesia was injected into the top of my head again it wasn't painful it just felt really weird. Then Elif began to punch the canals for the transplanted hair and after that Elif and Mustafa began to place the transplanted hair into the canals the operation was over at 6:30pm. After all that i went back to the hotel. March 10th Checked out of the hotel, drove to the clinic for the first wash and they explained to me what to do and how to wash my hair they gave me a bunch of stuff to take and use as in shampoo etc. Drove to the airport then and back home I went. Overall 2700 grafts were planted price was €1.50 per graft. It was manual FUE, The experience was amazing, and I will update you every month on my progression.

I wanted to prevent for further loss so i started proscar. So about the 2nd month on fin i experienced a massive shed, it never really stoped shedding just kept on continuing, on my 6th month on fin i experienced a rare side effect the fin was not just making me lose my hair on my head but all over my body i lost all my leg hair, chest hair and even my beard thinned out. I had a small HT of 1000 grafts in dublin on march 2013 it grew in prefect the hair was really thick and i had a nice hairline! while i was on fin my HT hair even thinned out along with my body and facial hair! But the weird thing was that my miniaturing normal hair on my scalp was starting to thicking up but because i was shedding so much of it, it was making it worse! I never got any of the sexual side effects on fin. I stop fin 12 months in cause it was destroying my HT it made it thin out so bad that it didnt look like i even got a HT. Ive been off fin about 4 months now and within those 4 months all my body hair has growing back not as thick as it once was though, my facial hair is after getting thicker and my HT hair is after getting a tiny bit thicker all tho is wasn't the same as it once was. and yes the hair that did not shed on my head is gone back to the tiny miniaturing hair it once was. I really dont know what to do ive googled everything and i dont know why i shed so much hair in one day and dont shed as much when im off fin. What's the story lads! I've been trying out topical finasteride that i got form Laboratorio Farmacia Parati over the past three months so far ive seen no results only massive amount of shedding. Just wondering has anyone actually got results with it? I've really thin straw like hair and just looking for it to thicken up again? :cool: many thanks fergie

I thought that too, maybe it is a hormonal imbalance im going to give it to 12 months to see if it gets better, but at the moment my hair is actually worse since I started in January. But i have to say the hair that didnt shed is alot softer and kinda thicker but i shedded so much hair in month 4 and 5 it looks worse! I honestly don't really care about my body hair thinning but my beard hair is thinning so bad im kinda getting a baby face which sucks. And the fact my transplant hair has thinned out so bad on my left side of my head its kinda noticeable i got a hair transplant the hair is that thin which also sucks! Its kinda of annoying if it is a hormonal imbalance, two of my mates started fin around the same time i did and there hair is prefect now do you think the hormonal imbalance will ever subside? Every time i do the "pull test" im pulling out 4 - 5 hairs with all white bulbs on the end of them. I have diffuse thinning fair hair. I'm taking proscar and sometimes when i cut it into quarters they aren't exactly the same size if that has got anything to do with it??maybe ill switch to the generic version of fin and be able to cut them exactly into quarters! As far as my health goes i work out 4 times a week and play football. Get about 9 hours sleep a night and have a great food diet i eat like a horse! Ive never used minoxdil during the 6 months i was on fin. but i have used lipogaine before around in August last year and honest i wasn't consistent with it i would use it somedays and stopped using it around December when i ran out that's how consistent i used it one bottle lasted me 4 months, but i was planing on starting rogaine on Monday, foam in the mornings and liquid in the evenings and sticking to it. If its a good idea thought ? Nizoral gives my scalp a really bad itch and i haven't used it in nearly 7 months i just use regular head and shoulders for the zinc in it.

Hi, Just a question about fin and hair transplant. I got a a hair transplant last year in March 2013. It was a small operation only 1200 grafts on my hairline it grew in fairly nicely. I started fin in January this year since starting fin for the first 3 months everything was grand then I began to have a massive shed in month 4 and 5. Everything has stabled now and I'm not shedding anymore 6 months form today in. But one thing fin has done was it has thinned my transplant hair out so bad, it's not as thick as it was none of the hair shedded it's still there just not as thick as it was, also my whole body hair has thinned starting fin form the hair on my chest to the hair on my legs to my beard has thinned and some parts were there was hair there is no hair anymore on my body. Just wondering is this normal?? Thanks fergie

Question for those who are/were on Fin at some point. Hi lads, I am a 23 years old. I was diagnosed with MPB by HRBR in Ireland which is a highly respected clinic. I have been on 1.25mg Proscar for nearly 5 months. Before i started it i was at nw1.5 just normal shedding. I wanted to prevent for further loss and started proscar .For the first 1.5 months honestly noting happened at all i did not see any difference with my hair. 2.5 months came and I started to notice my hair was starting to thickening up a little bit. about 2 months ago into the treatment it just happened i started to rapidly lose a load of hair, every time i washed my hair every second day.. i would easily count about 20 to 30 hairs on my hand every time i ran my hand through it. At first the hairs were thick hairs and really thin hairs falling out but now its just really thin hairs falling out. This shed has been going on now for nearly 2 months. Just before i decided to write this I combed my hair and counted 46 hairs on it i do this about 3 times a day and count 40-50 hairs each time. Every time i do the pull test i easily pull out 3 - 4 hairs every time!! My hair has never been as thin before. I have really fair hair, finasteride did thickening up some of my hair about 2 and half months ago. But with this massive shed going on u don't even notice it. I had a small hair transplant (700 graphs) last year in march 2013 on my hairline and that hair is starting to thin a little bit now that kinda freaked me out cause i thought that hair was immune to DHT? also another thing i noticed which is kinda of a bonus my beard has thinned out i used to shave every single day because i would have a 5 o' clock shadow i had a really thick beard, now i can shave every 2 days without getting any stubble. My chest hair has become really really thin and the hair I had on the back of my hands is completely gone!! I have lost about 60% of my hair density and continue to lose more. I know everyone goes through a shed but I'm just wondering has anyone gone through a shed were you are losing about 200 - 250 hairs a day or maybe even more on bad days. I have really fair defuse thinning hair i.am 23 years old. I kinda feel depressed, dont want to go out, everyday i look at the mirror i can see my scalp and getting more visible by the day. Thanks lads for the feedback. I'll stick with fin and minox for now and stop the nizoral. Would i grow the hair i lost with Nizoral back? have you got any alternative shampoo instead of nizoral like will i use shampoo with ketoconazole or not? I have really thin hair and i guess you can say its kinda diffuse thinning. Also how many times should i wash my hair a week? Thanks again.

I have been on 1.25mg fin(Proscar), Minoxidil, Laser haircomb for 2 months and 21days .I'm 22 years old. Before i started it i was at nw1 just normal shedding and just receding. In this 2 months period i just got a big shed,no stop,no regrowth the only thing i chaged was about a month ago i swap lipogaine minoxidi for kirkland minoxidil,..i also started nizoral shampoo 2%(only twice a week) about 3weeks ago. I know everyone goes through a shedding phase for about 4 months but is it suppose to be this bad i have before and after pictures below and im freaking out at the moment i dont know if i should drop them or not??????
