I would stay on the propecia another 6 months before you think too hard on it. You look like you will be a slick NW6 eventually, so you will need to keep things very conservative.

I always give the advice of shaving your buzzing your hair tight for 30 days. If then you feel like HT is still for you, then I would say it is worth trying.

Thank you for input.

I usually shave my head, this is 1 month without shaving just to take pictures for this hah.

I really dont like the shaved look, doesnt fit my personalty and reduces my looks alot. But this might be a race I just have to give up and try to get over it :(

Its alot of money and dissapointment on the line if you know what I mean

I do. If I were you personally, I would shave and move on, but stay on propecia to keep your options open. You never know what the future holds and you will want to keep as much as you can.

That said, your hair looks a lot like Bill, the editor/publisher, something or other, I can't remember. You can look at his pics and see what MAY be possible. You donor seems to be a bit weak too.

I agree with the above, stay on propecia and see what happens. If you see stabilization, then you could proceed.

You could even consider getting on dutasteride if you want. I'm in a similar position as you, I didn't growth on fin, so I'm adding dut to my regimen.

I would consult with doctors to see what they feel is possible. But as a minimum baseline, I would stay on the meds no matter what road you take, you want to keep your follicles alive in case science gives us more solutions down the line. Your pattern seems operable, it's just that the donor looks like it is thinning, but I could well be wrong.

You actually have a good shaped head for the shaved look.

SMP could be an option worth considering.

4,312 FUT grafts (7,676 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2013

1,145 FUE grafts (3,152 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2018

763 FUE grafts (2,094 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - January 2020

Proscar 1.25mg every 3rd day

Ok this is how it looks. I dont wet shave the top, it looks better. Maybe not so much in photos.

Im thinking about having HST at the front since my hairline is pretty much gone.

Then maybe add more on top later.

But still keep it very short, I kind of lost hope of having long hair, Dont think a HT could provide enough coverage.

Thoughts? HST since it leaves the scarring to a minimum.

It wouldn't hurt to talk to a Dr recommended on this site. You could potentially have good results if your balding halts with treatments and you use concealers. However, as others have noted, your donor does look thin.

HIS did it :) Was not very painful, it was more the time it took, sitting for about 4 hours. With constant dotting with a needle, was more annoying than painful.

Cost was about 4k dollars
