Regular Member johntaylorny Posted January 17, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted January 17, 2013 Here is my results at exactly 5 months + 2 weeks. I'm kinda glad I have hair up there now but I'm not happy with the thickness or the height of the hairline. I'd like it thicker and I wish the hairline was lower by 1". However, I was 100% bald as a baby's ass up there so it's definately an improvement. We did 5500 grafts that's all I had available. Opinions plz.... Also will it get thicker than this or can I expect it to stay this thickness level? I'm also thinking of doing FUE to lower the hairline. The sides of my head of thick with hair. I think having temples would much better frame/square out my face.
Senior Member Cant decide Posted January 17, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted January 17, 2013 You are only at 5 .5 months and it will get much thicker. Your hairline was placed right IMO; Especially if you have used almost all of your donor. Are you serious about wanting it lower by an inch? That would take easily another 3000 grafts. With your level of hairloss, you cannot expect a hairline that low. It would not look natural. Bill - Seemiller
johntay, I don't recall seeing your before photos, but if you were totally bald, you've certainly come a long way. And you're only 5.5 months post-op. I agree with "Cant Decide" that given your degree of hair loss that your hairline placed a little higher was probably prudent. Creating too low of a hairline without much density behind it would most likely look unnatural. By the way, who was your doctor? Best wishes, Bill
Senior Member Blake Bloxham Posted January 17, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted January 17, 2013 I like the hairline placement; especially if you were at a high NW level before the procedure. Additionally, at 5 months, you're results are only around 30% matured, so you definitely have some "thickening" to look forward to! Congratulations! Senior Member chrisdav Posted January 18, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted January 18, 2013 It is still early at 5 months. Who was your surgeon JohnTaylorny? 2 poor unsatisfactory hair transplants performed in the UK. Based on vast research and meeting patients, I travelled to see Dr Feller in New York to get repaired.
