Senior Member Billena Posted September 18, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted September 18, 2012 (edited) Based on recent peer-reviewed articles and publications, this video provides an overview of chest and abdominal hair to scalp follicular unit extraction (FUE). Highlights include statistics related to graft survival, beard hair caliber (versus that of scalp), and length of transplanted hair (beard versus scalp). Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted September 19, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted September 19, 2012 Excellent video presentation. It's great to see doctors continuing to explore options such as these. While body to scalp hair transplantation may not be the right choice for everyone, there is no doubt in my mind that there are repair patients out there for whom this type of procedure is their only chance of a "normal" look. I also wonder about the possibilities of combing a this with SMP to give even a NW VII the opportunity to have a full coverage, close-cropped hairdo. Senior Member Dr. Carlos Wesley Posted September 27, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted September 27, 2012 Thanks for your kinds words and I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I think that, based on the progress we've made in our field over the last few years and what's currently in the pipeline, the full coverage, short hairstyle scenario may certainly be possible for more and more men and women in the future!
