Well, with your hairline still showing, you're probably like a NW3 but the problem is you are diffuse thinning all over, even your donor area. I'm not sure you would be a good candidate for a hair transplant. Are you on meds? If not, you need to start Rogaine and Propecia ASAP! They can really help with diffuse thinning like this.

I take it you have been to see a hair specialist? There's always a chance that this isn't male pattern baldness and could be down to other factors.

4,312 FUT grafts (7,676 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2013

1,145 FUE grafts (3,152 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2018

763 FUE grafts (2,094 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - January 2020

Proscar 1.25mg every 3rd day

I think that's a great idea. If you shaved down to a 1 or 2 guard and supplemented with SMP, you could have a pretty nice look! It would just look like you chose to shave it. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Please advise what Norwood am I,thanks

Whats your thoughts

Hey Mate!

It's hard to give a general comment from just one photo. Your photo does appear to show a general Norwood 6, but also perhaps some overall diffused thinning which may have underlying medical causes. The best thing to do is get a thorough and complete microscopic evaluation directly from an HT surgeon. Many of the recommended surgeon do it online. Our office services this way daily. Don't struggle with the unknown get the facts and you will be able to consider the best options for your hair restoration. All the Best, Michael

Your donor hair doesnt appear to be thinning to me, it just looks short which can give the illusion of it thinning. Unless its obvious no one can make judgements about your donor untill you see a doctor.

You are diffused all over. Your NW pattern is what I would call a NW6D ("D" for diffused). The overhead view shows a NW6 pattern but it is a bit unusual in that the one side of the pattern has more actual loss than the other but make no mistake about it, surgery would be a bad idea. I would think that SMP would be ideal for you but I would highly recommend you try the #1 buzz before you try SMP (if you haven't already).
