Senior Member aaron1234 Posted August 5, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted August 5, 2012 2-3 weeks are plenty for physically being up for a job. However, you will still look a little odd. Regular Member Libero1978 Posted August 9, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted August 9, 2012 for front I know usually 2 weeks. I met a guy and front was recovered and unnoticeable after 3 days. Amazing recovery. It is up to the person and body. Average is 2 weeks so far I witnessed.
Senior Member TommyLucchese Posted August 9, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted August 9, 2012 As said, you'll be able to go back to work but you will indeed look strange. Tomorrow is 2 weeks since my FUT and I do NOT look good. 2,000 grafts FUT Dr. Feller, July 27th 2012. 23 years old at the time. Excellent result. Need crown sorted eventually but concealer works well for now. Propecia and minoxidil since 2010. Fine for 8 years - bad sides after switching to Aindeem in 2018. Switched to topical fin/minox combo from Minoxidil Max in October 2020, along with dermarolling 1x a week. Senior Member TommyLucchese Posted August 10, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted August 10, 2012 In what way? Can you explain more? Well I had 2000 grafts on hairline. The hair behind is all thick 'normal' hair and the 'new' hair infront looks like I've had a buzz cut. Obviously it doesn't match so looks odd as it has yet to shed. It's also still a bit red but that has dyed down a lot. Like I said, it isn't terrible...just a bit weird/odd. Still wearing a hat when I go out, but the new hairs are starting to shed now so I should be back to pre-op stage pretty soon. 2,000 grafts FUT Dr. Feller, July 27th 2012. 23 years old at the time. Senior Member blkblk Posted August 10, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted August 10, 2012 From my experience, people will probably know that something has been done after 2-3 weeks. I needed 4 weeks to get close to normal appearance and even then I required heavy usage of concealers to hide the scar. It was after about 2 months that the scar was no longer an issue and about 3 months that the shock loss was no longer an issue.
