Dr. Eser Aydogdu, Istanbul - Any reviews??

Hi All

Firstly, i am new to this forum so i apologise for my unfinished profile. When i get a better opportunity i will put up photos and more details.

I'm 35yrs old and have been slowly receding for over a decade and feel it's not time to have something done about it. I have researched the various methods and have decided to go with the FUE process.

I have friends i can visit in Istanbul where i believe the pricing is very favorable over UK/US prices. With that in mind, cheap flights and free accommodation, i would like to make arrangement to have my FUE done there.

I have looked at Transmed and heard various reviews so i won't use them, but a bit of internet research has brought up what appears to be a very experienced female surgeon called Dr.Eser Aydogdu.

Do any of the surgeons on here in the region know of her? (she has videos where she appears to be on Turkish TV etc), or has anyone had a HT from her? I've searched on here and can't find any reference to her, though her qualifications seem very good

I'm very keen to find out more about her before making contact.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Rob

Hi,

I googled her name and it looks like she does various forms of plastic surgery and doesn't concentrate on hair transplant procedures. I'd do a bit more research if I was you. If you don't want to travel too far a few forum members have gone to Doctor Saffi in Poland.

Apart from that there are 2 recommended doctors in India who are inexpensive compared to Europe and the US.

Good Luck

Hi Rod

Yes, she has been in the cosmetic surgery field for many years and has been doing hair transplants for around 6 years.

I'll keep doing research but a lot of the info is in Turkish so i will need to translate it.

Many thanks all for any information on this.

Kind regards

Rob

Buddy. its easy to translate. Just download Google Chrome and it translate it automatically. Im not impressed with this surgeon honestly. In Turkey, there is ONLY one surgeon I would trust which is Dr. Keser from Dermaplast clinic in Ankara but he does only FUE. Otherwise take a plane to Brussles and find real deal surgeons like Feriduni or Bisanga.

Hi Hairiri

Thank you for your feedback. Is there anything in particular that makes you think she isn't a good surgeon? She seems to have worked on a lot of male models, has done many videos on youtube (which are in Turkish so i can't understand them) and i have found no negative posts about her on various forums and google searches.

Just wondered what it is that puts you off? Is it her list of skills?

Many thanks

Hi Rob,

This forum has been around for about 10 years and I can't find out any information about this doctor. I googled her and there are some 'you tube' videos of her but they are in Turkish. It looks like she also does cosmetic surgery apart from hair transplants. If you do research on this forum most people will say that a clinic should do predominately hair transplants and not the other way round.

A doctor needs an experienced team to assist them to do a good quality hair transplant. There are many risks associated with hair transplants and price shouldn't be the main consideration, unless you can find a good quality clinic at a good price. I presume she is fairly cheap and this is why your considering her as an option? Doctor Kesser (Turkey) whilst not recommended on this forum, does have some exposure and his prices are relatively inexpensive for FUE. To be honest Transmed would be a better option for you to consider than this doctor imo. At least they have some reviews.

Personally, if money isn't a consideration go to one of the top clinics in Europe or USA.

Good luck

Rod

Ps. Once a poor quality clinic has your money they won't care less about you. You need to consider what will happen if you have a botched surgery and what recourse you can take within the countries' legislation i.e. civil action.

I live in Australia and you'd think that we have really good quality hair transplant clinics but the honest trust is that most are poor quality. The ability for a person to civilly claim against a doctor costs a considerable amount of money and most people don't bother and just get on with their lives. If you do decide to go with this doctor do yourself a favour and had an 'in person' consult before going thru with a procedure.

Cheers Rod

Thanks Rod and all,

Yes, i agree on the research and planning, so i am flying out to Istanbul next week to meet with them, meet the surgeon, visit the hair transplant hospital, see patient cases and look at her techniques.

Only then will i make an informed decision. She is not the cheapest by far, but everything i have seen, read and watched on-line of her seems very good so far.

My only concern is that about 6 years ago she worked with Dr.Pistone, who i know has had a bad reputation in the early years. I will be questioning her about this work when i see her.

Thanks again for all your support

Well, I have just returned from a week in Istanbul where I had just short of 3000 FUE by Dr.Eser Ayadogdu and her team of fantastic surgeons.

Very pleased with the high level of knowledge, skill, professionalism and service I received whilst there. Great care and attention was taken to ensure everything was 100% with natural results.

I will be setting up a blog detailing the whole process from start to finish (and continuing it over the next 12 months to show progress) so anyone interested can follow my progress.

For now though, it's time to apply my scalp lotion and get an early night.

Pics and details to follow.

Thanks everyone

Rob, I hadn't seen this topic.

How could you go out to Turkey for a consultation, and then have surgery in the same week?

World class surgeons are booked up for months and months in advance.

Maybe it was planned all along ;)

2 poor unsatisfactory hair transplants performed in the UK.

Based on vast research and meeting patients, I travelled to see Dr Feller in New York to get repaired.

Hi Chrisdav,

I didn't. I had the consultation in the UK, sent my pictures over to the surgeons, got the feedback and then started making arrangements for months later.

The second consultation was a face to face one on the day of the surgery, just to have a final close look at the donor and recipient areas to confirm the first assessment and see if they could get any more grafts for me.

My thought process was that I'd paid a deposit and had the initial consultation but could still back out at the last minute if not happy (and loose the deposit). Thankfully, I was very impressed with everything once there so went ahead.

Glad I did though, I would've hated to have gone to a less experienced team and suffer bad results.

Regards

Hiya, I was hoping to find some photos of your results here or on your blog, but I was unable. Not sure if I missed something. I have been looking at surgeons in Turkey, but I'm sceptical as there are some very mixed reviews (with the exception of Dr. Keser). Have you posted any photos?

EDIT: I found what I was looking for in this thread:
