More Stolen Photos - Strax Rejuvenation

Yet again I am posting to point out another clinic, again, that is using our photos to promote their hair restoration facilities, again. This time we have Strax Rejuvenation in Boca Raton and Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Welcome to Strax Rejuvenation Before & After | Welcome to Strax Rejuvenation

There are some other patients that I recognize from other clinics. Anyone care to play a game and see if you can figure out which clinic the patient actually came from?

One thing though, they kinda sorta try to open about how the photos might not be their own. They have a disclaimer (not in the photos section) that says...

Results may vary in individual cases. Photos on this website may be stock photography or generic photos of people which are not patients of this practice, employees, Drs., Dr., or affiliates. Testimonials on this website may be from people who are not actual patients of the practice.

The Truth is in The Results

Dr. Victor Hasson and Dr. Jerry Wong are members of the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians

Well, there's Bobman again. That guy must hold the record for most stolen post-op photos ever. And for good reason!

So when are you going to sue them?

Dr. G: 1,000 grafts (FUT) 2008

Dr. Paul Shapiro: 2,348 grafts (FUT) 2009 ~ 1,999 grafts (FUT) 2011 ~ 300 grafts (Scar Reduction) 2013

Dr. Konior: 771 grafts (FUT) 2015 ~ 558 grafts (FUT) 2017 ~ 1,124 grafts (FUE) 2020

Joe,

It seems like stealing photos has been a pandemic over the last couple of years....possibly even longer.

In addition to Bobman, I recognize Robert aka "socialdrinker", our old forum moderator. I believe he was a patient of Dr. Cooley's if my memory serves me correctly. For anyone who is interested, he is the last patient listed on their website. You have to hit the right arrow to see him.

It's interesting though that they've added a disclaimer explaining how photos "might" be not be their own. But I wouldn't call these photos "stock" or "generic". They are real patients from other clinics and thus, they should not be displayed on this clinic's website.

Hey Mate,

Sorry to hear that someone is trying to benefit from your firms reputation through its work. This is a copyright and violation of HIPPA laws in the USA. All medical procedures and results must have appropriate release from patient for anyone to use records and data which includes images. Besides the ethical question here; it is clear that anyone using images of your clients without release are subject to some liabilities. You may consider this if that is the case. Specifically because it is a violation of your patients rights and not tolerable ethically and under USA federal regulations and laws regarding patients rights and privilege. A disclaimer on their site does not negate the improper use of patient records. You may note that many clinics and centers brand their imaging to avoid some of this. I share this information so that your firm can consider liabilities it could incur for the apparent release of confidential data. All the best, Michael.

Pathetic that it is, I honestly wouldn't dare what's the point in posting other surgeons work all it's doing is pointing out the fact that they're not proud of their own work because it's rubbish.

Bonkerstonker! :D
