Senior Member chrisdav Posted May 7, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted May 7, 2012 Do you have any pictures you can post of your hair currently? 2 poor unsatisfactory hair transplants performed in the UK. Based on vast research and meeting patients, I travelled to see Dr Feller in New York to get repaired.

Senior Member Buzz2 Posted May 7, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted May 7, 2012 Hi Mate You may struggle with your budget for that aount of grafts. Ive been to Dr Saifi in Poland .He will charge 2950 gbp for 2000 grafts and 3500 gbp for 3000. So i would guess about 3200 for 2500. Assume you are in the uk ??? I know a few people who have used him and speak highly of him. Other than that , I would say head to India. HT No1 : Nobel clinic, Gatwick 500 grafts - Terrible result, left with bumpy skin HT No2 : Marwan Saifi 1680 grafts. Great result HT No3 - Marwan Saifi 1250 grafts. Another good result. HT No4 - Hakan Doganay 2134 grafts. Result TBA Total 5134 grafts.

Ive been saving for 2 years and its time to go for it so can you get a good surgery i also have money for travel . The cheapest I've seen from a Dr of any known pedigree is Dr De Reys (not recommended by the coalition). He does FUE and 2500 grafts would be about ?5000 including travel. I dont think ?3000 is going to go far enough. How can you be sure that the technicians trimming the grafts are adequately trained and do the job full time? The last thing you want is a poor yield and a strip scar at the back of your head (especially as you have the buzzed look). 4,312 FUT grafts (7,676 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2013 1,145 FUE grafts (3,152 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2018 763 FUE grafts (2,094 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - January 2020 Proscar 1.25mg every 3rd day
Senior Member William38 Posted May 19, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted May 19, 2012 Dr De Reys is really good, I had 5000 grafts done with him in two separate operations. He charges less because he doesn't employ lots of technical staff. I don't think he would go down as low as you want to, though. You might want to save a bit more. Senior Member RodG Posted May 19, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted May 19, 2012 Hi, You could try Doctor Madhu or Doctor Radha in India. Both doctors charge $1us per graft but you would also have to travel to India. They are also recommended on this forum. I would say that 3000 grafts would give you a good level of improvement. Cheers Rod
Regular Member aramis69 Posted May 20, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted May 20, 2012 Dr Humayun (recommended by the coalition) in Islamabad has very reasonable charges. I have my HT (FUT) scheduled next week at his clinic. If I have 3,000 grafts transplanted, it will cost me about 2,000 UK pounds which includes my visa, my plane ticket and accomodation at a nearby guesthouse. Senior Member TommyLucchese Posted May 20, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted May 20, 2012 The advice I've seen a lot on here is to not let money play a factor. From what I've learnt it's best to save more money to have more options instead of limiting yourself to surgeons in a cheaper price bracket. 2,000 grafts FUT Dr. Feller, July 27th 2012. 23 years old at the time. Excellent result. Need crown sorted eventually but concealer works well for now. Propecia and minoxidil since 2010. Fine for 8 years - bad sides after switching to Aindeem in 2018. Switched to topical fin/minox combo from Minoxidil Max in October 2020, along with dermarolling 1x a week. Regular Member mb30 Posted May 20, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted May 20, 2012 I know its not easy waiting but your better saving some more money and getting it done right the first time, the last thing you want is a bad result or worse having to save more money for a repair job. Best of luck mate
