Regular Member Jazzy Posted April 6, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted April 6, 2012 (edited) Hello everyone, just wanted to share my story and pictures with everyone. I had 3160 fue grafts with Dr Feriduni an excellent Doctor based in Hasselt. I arrived on Monday 19th March by car checked in the Radisson Blu 1pm followed by a pre opp consultation with Dr Feriduni at 3pm. At first the Dr checked out my donor area to see how much we could save, we went through the hairline and design I could have. The next morning I got to clinic for 7am changed into my blue overalls, had my hair washed and shaved by the nurse. surgery started soon after by having a few injections which were not to bad they only stang slightly ( I would say its worse going to the dentist) the first part of the surgery was to take my hair out from my donor area and placing them into a glass pot which had a damp tissue on ( they were placed in 100's). When they had taken all the grafts out for that day we stop for a short lunch break. While undergoing my surgery with Dr Ferduni I was able to take someone with me so i took my partner who was able to stay with me at the clinic in our own private room, at lunch time I was able to go and join her while having something to eat which was provided by the clinic for us both. All the staff at the clinic where very helpful and prepared lunch for us both for all as long as my surgery was going on, they also provided us both with bottomless drinks. We were offered a rang of sandwiches when we went on the pre opp day. The sandwich was really tasty and fresh you could tell they had been made there and then, the sandwich was followed by fresh fruit. After lunch I was taken back into the surgery room where they started the incisions while watching a film which finished at 5pm. We then went back to the hotel via a yellow taxi which was paid for by the clinic and was able to take us and bring us back from the clinic whenever we needed. The following day we went back to the clinic for 8am and they started taking out the grafts for that day while I fall asleep. We stopped for lunch at 12 and finished on this day at 3pm. On the last day we went back to the clinic for 8am again for a check up, to get my bandage taken off and head washed and final picture taken. I was given a bag of goodies (my vitamins bandanna, pillow and oil and pain killers) before leaving Belgium and was offered all the great hospitality and a disc with all my pictures on from day one till the last day. In my experience sleeping / lying down after the surgery was the hardest as you have to sleep in an upright position and making sure you don't bang your head in any situation whatsoever. Overall I'm really happy with the whole experience the great hospitality the clinic provided and most of all Dr Ferduni and his teams hard work. Many thanks to all the staff from front desk to the back for all they have done for me and my girlfriend she was really glad you helped her and supported her while i was having my surgery, on the first night she had to stay awake while i slept to make sure i didn't slip down or touch the hair. On the following day when i went in to surgery she was looked after by getting a chance to sleep in our own private room where she had a bed, pillow and a blanket and a nurse making sure she didn't need anything. Many thanks to mpbsucks4545 for all your support and advice along the way. Senior Member England Posted April 7, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted April 7, 2012 Fantastic write-up and pictures, Jazzy. I had a very similar hairline to you with Dr Feriduni 1 week later, so it's going to be interesting to compare notes over the upcoming months (although I have very light hair)! I think you will have an excellent result, and look forward to seeing your progress.
Regular Member Jazzy Posted April 7, 2012 Author Regular Member Share Posted April 7, 2012 Thanks for all your reply's Since the swelling has gone down the hairline has rounded off more. Wanted the hairline lower but Dr Ferduni advised me not to so i could save some more grafts. I will post some more pics soon.

Senior Member TheMirrorOfDreams Posted December 11, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted December 11, 2014 Many thanks for the write-up. I too will be having (repair) surgery with Dr. Bijan Feriduni, july of next year. Can't wait to repair the god-awful work my last surgeon did! It's a crying shame... Senior Member TheMirrorOfDreams Posted December 11, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted December 11, 2014 would have been great to see your progress, dont know why some guys bother starting threads then do a houdini act Yeah, who knows why. I for one will not. I will give a thorough write-up. It might be because Dr. Feriduni gives a discount to patients who creates a blog after surgery, then they may have just decided to ditch it. Weird, if you ask me. Why bother creating a blog at all then, if you're just going to leave it incomplete...
