Hello Guys. I'll be posting my 2 month updates this friday but in the meantime I have a quick question.

Do all of the hairs on your head grow at approximately the same rate?

The reason I ask is because currently I am 8 weeks post op so all of my native hair growing back is now about 1 inch long. Tonight I looked at my head and in my hairline I can see just a few tiny hairs which are like 1mm long if that. Are these possibly native hairs which just regrew very slowly or possibly some early growers from the new transplanted grafts?

Any advice appreciated.

Cheers.

Patience is no problem for me Spex. The combover covers the ht to the point where I don't even think about it through the day. I forget all about it except when I get out of the shower.

However, after a close inspection last night I am about 90% sure that the very front of my hairline is ever so slightly thicker than pre ht. My girlfriend said she would definitely agree too. I think the doc may just have sprinkled some of that magic, early growth dust on my head. Haha. My 2 month update pics on Friday should tell me whether I'm being overly optimistic or not.

Either way. I'm in no huge rush : )

Cheers mate

So it's 2 month update today. I was definitely getting above myself thinking I had early growth. Haha. I definitely do not have any early growth. One can be optimistic.

I think I've had a bit of shock loss in the recipient area but very little and I expect it to grow back in a couple more months.

Time to wait even more.

More light from the flash and probably a more accurate representation of how I'm looking

Your hair is really thick and malleable! Your native hair is coming back with a vengeance. 1.5months is usually when the negative effects stop and the engine shifts from reverse and starts slugging forward. You should have your native "shock loss" hair completely recouped and flying high in 3.5 months. The transplanted hairs slowly emerge at different rates over a 13month period. I am at 1.5 months since my second ht, so I am out of the woods with results now going in the positive direction.

As far as the procedure itself, I share you enthusiasm with how easy it was. Post op, you see the army of transplanted hairs on your head representing a new glorious future. It's rather euphoric. My doc called me a "hair junkie" for having a second HT already. Chasing that dragon :P

I think you will have a great result with the characteristics of your hair Spreadlocks, just remain patient.

Not much will happen until nearly month 4 where it will gradually develop.

Sure, these are the 1 year results from my first HT. Creepy pre op pic, post op by a few days, then one year later. My hair shaft is medium thin, so your results should kill comparably. Tip for all, dying your hair makes the shafts a bit thicker.

Holy sh*t man. Your hairline is beautiful. You went from having no hair at the front to having movie star hair. Seeing this makes me really excited at what's to come.

I'm really happy for you bro. This must have changed your life. What was the reaction of your friends, colleagues etc?

Thanks bro. I had always combed the hair forward and worked tricks. So I kept my sinking hair island somewhat stealth. It did get to a point where I wasn't able to work with it, and that's when I went and pulled the trigger on the HT. I haven't combed my hair off my forehead in 20 years. So now that I can, people don't really react to me having hair. Close friends and family that would take notice, I told I had it done.

Spreadlocks, I see the magic starting to happen! You have held on to a lot of native hair for a lot of years. Your crown and rear half look pretty solid.

Finasteride 1.25 mg. daily

Avodart 0.5 mg. daily

Spironolactone 50 mg twice daily

5 mg. oral Minoxidil twice daily

Biotin 1000 mcg daily

Multi Vitamin daily

Damn, with all the stuff you put in your hair are you like a negative NW1? :D

Thanks. I have pretty muched stopped checking my hair daily and looking for new hairs n stuff. You end up wishing your life away. Just waiting on the magic and happy with how things are looking for 4 months.

Yeah, the back is solid and the meds work well for me. I started fin like 3 years before my ht and did not lose any hair at all since.

Hey Buddy,

Honestly your hair is progressing really well! Good on you for being patient. I think by time the healing and re-growing is done you will appear as though you never even had a procedure done.

I am strongly considering getting a HT done. Does Dr Feller specialise in strip or FUE?

Goodluck with all future progression. Good to see your happy.
