  1. Every time I mention who I went to, it goes to the moderator for approval and never seems to get approved. This is as fair and balanced as Fox News.
  2. I agree with shampoo, go to to at least three docs and see as many live results as possible. Talk to former patients, and take your time deciding. My personal tip, never trust a guy with a mustache. What is the thought process that one thinks a broom sweeper on the upper lip is a fine aesthetic choice? I mean,1976 porn was a long time ago to pull fashion cues. Or if they are shooting for the 19th century victorian man, complete that look with a fine top hat. But I digress..Stay sexy San Diego
  3. Hey Mike, some of your concerns are correct. In one HT, even the best of the best can't come close to your original hair density. The hair will match perfectly because it's your hair, but you should plan on doing it twice if you want nice density. I had my front hairline moved up 3/4ths of an inch, and had the receding sides filled in. I recently had a second HT bumping up another 1/4" bringing the move up to 1" total. It's looking killer at 4 months. One donor scar, and my wife can't even find it. That scar will never be a problem in the future. As long as you go to a good reputable doc, HT's work like a charm.
  4. 3-4 month period is when the hair starts rolling in. Hang in there you will feel better next month. I am at 4 months right now on my second HT, huge difference from a month ago.
  5. The front looks great! It will be really cool to see your entire head back in business.
  6. I have a suggestion. When you go again, have the doc bring forward the temples a bit. Just makes it all blend in a natural way and will better frame your face. What makes a toupee look silly is that strong shock of hair on top, yet the sides are waaaay back. You have some of the densest/best results for one HT I've seen. Another pass and you are going to be rockin some hair, so it would be best to incorporate those sides. I lost my temporal points in my early 20's and getting them back has been a favorite aspect to my new hairline. Temporal hair makes it so LEGIT!
  7. You have to think with the power of billions of dollars in profits, Merck can influence to keep that generic down. Pharm companies know how to drag it out with red tape to keep those giant profits flowing. In some cases they pay the leading generic manufacturers to keep production on short supply too. I couldn't wait, a few years ago I got my doc to subscribe the generic for avodart, finasteride 5mg tabs. So I take 1/5 pill per day. Costs me 34.00 for a 5 month supply.
  8. From my particular HT experience, I feel at 10 months you could go again. I don't blame you for wanting round two as fast as possible. When you see hair growing on your head you turn into a hair junkie!
  9. Is that one HT session, or does the FUE require going in several times?
  10. 4.5 month pic looks on schedule. The hair dye thing for me is because I'm over 40 and it gets rid of the unwanted grays. The side effect it does slightly help thicken up the hair too. If your not happy with the end result and the doc gives you more transplants you need to tout him. I have never heard of a doc giving added transplants for free!
  11. I had my hairline rebuilt in a very similar fashion to yours. Your growth at 6 months does look slower than average. Based on how many new baby hairs I see, you a have a good way to go. So hang in there, those hairs will grow out and thicken up over time. The density won't match your native hair, but from the photo I can see it will look natural. A negative, I do see a few sparse areas. Hopefully some hair starts kicking in there soon. I had a few new hairs sprout at 12 months so hang in there. When your final result is in, I recommend you dye it. Dying it thickens the hair shafts a bit.
  12. Those graphs are very far apart. Wherever you went, they don't have the right approach. Do not go back them. That's not how it should look post op, or months later.
  13. Thanks bro. I had always combed the hair forward and worked tricks. So I kept my sinking hair island somewhat stealth. It did get to a point where I wasn't able to work with it, and that's when I went and pulled the trigger on the HT. I haven't combed my hair off my forehead in 20 years. So now that I can, people don't really react to me having hair. Close friends and family that would take notice, I told I had it done.
