  1. Hi All. Sorry to keep bringing this thread up but I'm making progress and really appreciate all the advice. I got responses from Dr De Freitas and Dr Custodio. Looking at Custodio's work on insta I love the hairline designs, especially the corners where he works the hairline into the temples. When he does the somewhat more aggressive hairlines they look superb. Some of the results are exactly what I'm looking for. As said though I have only seen clinic posted results. No Patient posted results or reviews. With De Frietas I have seen a bunch of reviews etc and his work is also great. He has quoted a bigger operation but I'm totally good with that as I'm not losing at all and the result is far more important than price. Actually both docs quoted a reasonable price. MY couple of questions. Do people know if De. Freitas also works into the temples at all? I don't need temple reconstruction but I just really like when docs work the hairline into the top of the temples a bit and curve it out. Secondly do any of you have any personal experience with either doctor? Thank you
  2. Hi. I'm not actually sure. I was away on holiday very early jan. I guess a week or two into the year.
  3. I spoke to them last year and they said the books were closed for the rest of the year. I messaged back in january and got a reply in less than a week i guess. I'm thinking I may just wait for Dr. Couto. Ive waited like 14 years, whats another. Honestly, looking at results online they are just so good.
  4. I'll keep up to date. I messaged Pinto, De Freitas and Costodio so far. I'll message Bruno Ferriera too. I'm gonna see what they come back wit. As said I have a consultation with Dr. Couto who I'd go with in a heart beat but its a long way off. I'm really patient and have waited close to 15 years for this so can wait if necessary. But yeah. It will be over 2 years I guess before surgery would be done.
  5. do you have any idea on pricing? How loaded is loaded? Hah.
  6. I've been looking at Custodio online. He definitely has some knock it out of the park results with immense hairlines. However I can't find any client reviews or pictures. Jist results posted by him personally. Does anyone have any personal experience?
  7. Thanks a lot. Yeah. The reason I orgionally looked into couto is that he seems to absolutely nail that area around the temples and where the hairline joins.
  8. Fin has been amazing for me. either that or coincidentally i just stopped around the same time. 1mg a day and I forget many days. Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm gonna research them all tonight at home. I appreciate.
  9. Hi Everyone I recently contacted Dr. Juan Couto's clinic. I managed to get a consultation for mid 2025, meaning surgery would be done in 2026 and by the time the result comes though probably 2027. I am just wondering if there are any other alternative doctors people would suggest, who I could contact to see if I can maybe arrange something a little earlier. For context. I had an FUT 13 years ago with dr. Feller. It worked out very well actually and my result was solid. However we kept it fairly conservative on the hairline in case I had further loss down the line. I'm now 45 years old and have experienced no more loss at all. In fact I have had no loss since starting finasteride about 17 years ago. With that in mind I'm up for using more grafts to give myself a really beautiful hairline, temples and really thicken up the front. Looking online it appears Dr Juan Couto seems to be able to really knock it out of the park with these things. Extremely natural and beautiful, youthful looking hairlines. Are there any other doctors you guys would suggest me checking out who you think can give equally good results when it comes to this? Thank you
  10. Hello guys. I've been using toppik for years and as was based in the UK just ordered it from one of the many places that sold it. I'm now living in Europe so went to order some and looked at Amazon. I have just found loads of alternatives that are much cheaper. Less than half the price in many cases. Some of the ones I have seen are: Beaver Volumon Qgain KO Densitee HairSoReal Keraflow As far as I can see the are all keratin fibres as Toppik is. I was just wondering if any of you had any experience of any of these, and if so how were they? How do they compare to toppik? I only use a little toppik in the hairline by the way. Not lots. Thanks a lot.
  11. Man, its good to see you are trying to forget. Just don't think about where you should be at 3 months. Don't look at where other people were at 3 months. Forget all of that. Also I started using toppik at 3 months. Are you using it? Some light brown toppik in the front of your hair will have that looking amazing. Its unreal stuff.
  12. Easy Arthur. All on the money mate. Many people will tell you the good stuff starts now. Personally I disagree. I think the good stuff happens much later. Like months 7, 8 and 9. Looking good though.
  13. Sorry for the delay guys. It's crazy to think that this time last year I had a load of staples in my head
  14. Easy guys. So in a couple of days it will be 1 whole year since my ht which is crazy. This time last year I was nervous and apprehensive. Now 1 year later I just don't worry about my hair anymore. The testament is that in December I was in Bali. I would swim in the sea or pool, get out, let the hair dry and not a single fuck was given. Its one of the most liberating feelings I have had after years of trying to hide bald spots. Anyway, i'll get some pics taken this weekend and get them posted on here. As you can see from my last pics it was already looking good. I have had further progress over the last couple of months though. I had one weak spot that no longer exists in the hairline : )
  15. Cheers man. Yeah. Fellers scars are remarkable. You have been in good hands ; )
  16. Based on my personal experience I would recommend feller massively. My growth has been superb and I can not imagine that anyone could give me a thinner scar than I have from my fut. Obviously I don't have personal experience with t&d but I have researched them a lot online. They are clearly top level doctors but it would be feller all day for me.
  17. Easy guys. Ive been on holiday for the past couple months so not been active. I figured i'd hit you up as you are now probably around that 3 month period where you start to think things should be happening because of the bullshit you have read on the Internet : ) I just wanna remind you that its completely irrelivant in the long run. How is the ht looking mate? Has anybody noticed at work or anything?
  18. Hello Spark. I had my fut with dr feller pretty much exactly 1 year ago. Reading your post brought back the memories. You have definitely made a good decision with the Fut. My scar is completely miniscule. Undetectable. Looking at your natural hair and your op this is going to work out great for you. Just remember to be patient. Even up to month7 and 8 I had weak patches but now my whole ht is solid. In fact I get people who do not know I have had a HT telling me that I have lovely hair. Mate, you are gonna be over the moon by next Xmas.
  19. What you are worrying about is exactly what I thought and worried about. In fact I did up until about 3 months like a fool. Mate. Go to my blog site here and have a look at my 2 weeks pics Hair Restoration Journal for spreadlocks - 12 Days Post Op then my one month pics Hair Restoration Journal for spreadlocks - 1 Month Post Op In that time I noticed no shedding but look how much had actually shed. You'll be in the same situation. Just be happy you haven't had much shock loss
  20. Arthur. Its totally possible to shed without noticing. I hardly noticed. The only time I ever did notice is when I would see an odd little hair on my keyboard (its a white coloured Apple Mac). If you are like me it will have mostly shed and now is about as bad as it will look. However, in the grand scheme it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter whether its new hair, old hair, shed or not etc. The one month mark means nothing. Just ignore it mate and look back in a couple of months.
  21. Easy mate. On the finestride I didn’t notice any regrowth but it just completely stopped the loss for me. I can definitely have another transplant but even with a great supply you will never have enough donor to completely cover a full bald head at a high density like your natural hair. Imagine that you end up going full on Larry David Level Bad yeah. Think of how big the strip area of donor hair is. It’s maybe 25cm long and about 3 or 4cm wide. It probably looks like a slightly smaller ruler that you would use at school. Now think of how big the whole top of your head is. It’s what, 10 times the size of the strip donor area? Take a school ruler and think how many times you could fit that on to the whole top of your head. If you are not on meds you then need to make the hair from that slim strip area cover the whole top of your head which is a MUCH larger surface area. That doesn’t equate to a high density. Obviously you load a bit higher at the front and sparser at the back etc. but ultimately it is nowhere near an equal alternative to keeping your natural hair which is much denser. I would never tell anyone that they should go on meds but I am happy to share my experience. I go to my GP and She gives me a prescription for 56 Proscar pills which costs me ?40. I split them in to 5 so that is a 280 day supply. I miss the odd day here n there so they last me about 10 months. 10 Months later I go back to the GP and repeat. It costs me virtually nothing and is very little hassle. In the morning I swallow a tiny 1/5 of a pill with my morning glass of water each day. It is virtually zero hassle. However I am not an expert on the health implications so can not shell out advice. I know some people have had issues with sex drive so have had to stop them. For me though there has been no side effects at all. I’m hornier now than I was when I was 18 J
