  1. Thanks for the replys guys. Here is my scar update video at 4 months shaved to grade 3. http://youtu.be/O8AEGM72fdM
  2. I assume you probably know of Spex as you have been reading the forums but if not, contact Spex. He works as a consultant for Dr. Feller but will give you honest, impartial advice and knows absolutely loads about hairloss. Personally it helped me a lot meeting someone in person along with the online consultations I had.
  3. Dude. You are in FL. Do yourself a favour and go see Dr. Glenn Charles for a consultation if you do not want to leave your state.
  4. Thanks. I have pretty muched stopped checking my hair daily and looking for new hairs n stuff. You end up wishing your life away. Just waiting on the magic and happy with how things are looking for 4 months. Yeah, the back is solid and the meds work well for me. I started fin like 3 years before my ht and did not lose any hair at all since.
  5. Scar update too with sides shaved down to grade 3. Flash on and flash off. Gonna attempt to shave it to grade 2 next week before I go on holiday and will post pics.
  6. 4 Month update today. As ever it's that harsh light with the flash to give that totally realistic impression.
  7. Chris. You got any recent pics (7 months post op) with the hair dry and styled? Do you pull it forward or style it back? I'd be interested to see how it looks. Judging by the wet pic I'm sure it looks great.
  8. That's the trick mate. Try not to start wishing your life away. I recon it's easy done.
  9. I stayed at the Ramada Bayside. By US standards it's probably not great but my room was fine by UK standards and it was SUPER CHEAP. I payed like ?40 a night or something. One good thing was that there was a fridge and Microwave in the room so I could buy plenty of food before the HT and not have to leave the room after. If you stay there I had some cool food at a local italian joint called Tratoria 35. Trattoria 35 - Bayside - Bayside, NY They had New York italians all saying "Forget About It" to each other. Felt like the Sopranos : )
  10. Hello mate. I am 3.5 months post op with Doc Feller. You are in for a 1st class experience. Hit me up if you have any questions. Where you Staying? You got any plans for NY.
  11. All the way from down under man. Wow. Congrats. I'm 3.5 months post op with Dr Feller too so hit me up if I can help with any post op advice.
  12. Great write up man. The work looks excellent as ever. I'm 3.5 months post op with dr feller myself so it'll be great to see your updates too.
  13. Superb progress and excellent pics too. It's great too see some pics taken in the harshest conditions to give an accurate representation. It looks really natural and dense. I bet it looks crazy good when styled.
  14. No hats involved bro : ) Because my hair is curly and the hair at the back was so thick I would pull it forward over the short part and use some hairspray to hold it in place. Like a mega combover. Nobody at all thought there was anything up. I have managed to hide my ht from absolutely everybody.
  15. ADBLK. Your work looks great. I am 3 months out with Dr. Feller so know exactly what you have been through. I am also the same age as you and had a similar amount of grafts. If you have any questions feel free to hit me up. The numbness above the donor is perfectly normal too. Mine lasted a couple of months but is now fully gone.
  16. 3 Month update. I have not noticed any new hairs coming through other than the odd one that never fell out. My native hair is growing pretty well though.
  17. Dude. Wait up first. At 1 day post op your head will be swollen so you will not get a true representation of how it looks. Also once hair starts growing it looks really different.
  18. Thanks a lot. It depends how you define normal really. I was feeling OK by a couple of weeks Then after that things flew along. Resuming your normal life helps time go faster. Man. I just kept all the hair at the top of my head that wasn't shaved and pull it forward in a mighty combover. Even when I had the sides down to a 3 I still kept all the hair on the top to cover up the HT. Nobody knows I've had one. I waited almost 3 weeks then when I went back to work I pulled my native hair over the transplanted area and used some hairspray on the native hair to hold it in place. I did not need concealer as I have loads of thick native hair from the back. Hope all goes well for you in this department. I thought the Heat seemed unbeatable but I would say that they have showed some cracks recently. I could see the Bulls maybe taking them in the Eastern finals. OKC look amazing though. And so young too. As for your last post. I first touched the grafts very lightly when showering on the 4th day. As for sleeping on your side, I think the 5th or 6th day should be fine as the grafts are in place but the staples are a fucker man. They get sore in the night. I ended up pretty much sleeping upright till my staples were out.
  19. Dude. First up congratulations. I hady procedure with dr feller in jan and echo everything you say. The next couple of days you will feel really weird from the facial swelling but after that you will be good. Obviously I ain't a doctor but I can give you an opinion based on my personal experience. I can not see any reason why you won't be able to play hoops at full capacity by 3 to 4 weeks. I was really paranoid about the gym but went back after 4 weeks and felt great. By 6 weeks out I was lifting at 100% doing abs, squats, deadlifts etc. my only regret is that i didn't start a week earlier. The doc said not to worry as it takes a long long time to stretch a scar and I firmly believe him. If you check my topic you can see my scar is paper thin and completely concealed with my hair shaved to a #3 guard at only 9 weeks. I'm start jogging at 10 - 14 days for def. P.s. who you think will make the NBA finals this year? I'd a Brit but a big basketball fan too.
  20. If you are in Canada then you have a few of the best Surgeons in the world in your country. Dr. Rahal is within a couple hundred miles of you and is one of the best on Earth. Hasson & Wong are also in Canada and are first class surgeons. If you go to north America search Dr. Feller too.
  21. Holy sh*t man. Your hairline is beautiful. You went from having no hair at the front to having movie star hair. Seeing this makes me really excited at what's to come. I'm really happy for you bro. This must have changed your life. What was the reaction of your friends, colleagues etc?
  22. Haha. Cheers. I just pull it forward to cover the HT and put some hairspray on the native hair to hold it. Nobody at all has noticed my shaved down recipient area.
  23. Thanks a lot for the feedback guys. All seems to be going in the right direction now. You got any pics socbook1DB5?
  24. So it's 2 month update today. I was definitely getting above myself thinking I had early growth. Haha. I definitely do not have any early growth. One can be optimistic. I think I've had a bit of shock loss in the recipient area but very little and I expect it to grow back in a couple more months. Time to wait even more. Without much light More light from the flash and probably a more accurate representation of how I'm looking
