  1. Hey brother, I'm in a very similar situation and also am going to see Dr Laorwong in October. Your write up has me feeling optimistic about my repair as well. Keep us updated on your progress! Talk soon!
  2. thanks for all the support guys , I will post some pictures soon. Looks like I need to be patient . so yes I may need another small pass to make it look natural ... I made an appointment with Dr hasson during month 10 incase anything changes inbetween now and then . again I really do appreciate the support
  3. hey guys , im past my 8 month mark ... still not much growth . I fear my yield is extremely low. I am going to email Dr Hasson and see what he says. I wont post any photos until i talk to the Dr . Right now things are looking grim , pretty depressed over it .
  4. Thanks for the support. I'm near 5 mmonths and still not seeing much coming out . I will see Dr Hasson around 6 months to see what he thinks ... Still I'm trying to be patient although during my last procedure I saw a lot more at this stage . So it does have me worried some.. I'll report back at 6 months with photos . Happy new year
  5. reached 4 month mark ... i have some decent growth on my left side but hardly any on the right .... hoping the growth will kick in soon ... I will go to see Dr Hasson around 6 months to see what he thinks ...by 6 months we should have a clearer picture of whats up . right now im pretty scared about the lack of growth ..ill post pictures at the 4.5 month mark . Has anyone experienced slow growth like this and had a good result at the 1 year? thanks
  6. Hey Spanker , no scaring from the fue removal . Thanks for popping by though brother, I needed the assurance im alright . Even if its only for a fleeting moment
  7. Well im officially 3.5 months in and scared to death that my grafts wont grow . I know this is the hardest time to get through , but Id hoped for some more grafts to break through the skin at least. This is my 3rd transplant to just the frontal area so you can see why im so anxious ...I went to one of the best doctors available and followed all the post op instruction perfectly. Feeling pretty down about it right now , i dont know if ill ever have a normal looking hairline again ... the first one left me with plugs , the 2nd was a repair which was much better but many of the grafts didnt grow in , this is my 3rd and its not looking to promising right now . anyways i needed to vent . ill post again around 4.5 months .. maybe ill have some popping through by then.
  8. Okay here are a couple photos . I've seen a few sprout on the left side of the hairlIne but nothing on the right yet . Trying to stay patient and positive . But after multiple bad results , I'm kind of terrified this one won't work out either . I did go back to the office for a wash for the first 4 days after the procedure to make sure everything was in place . Maybe I'll go slower as it's not a virgin scalp ect. Well here's to hoping the hairs sprout soon ! Wish me luck guys =)
  9. 3 months 10 days update... Still waiting on new growth to happen . Ive had a few sprout in the last month . not to many tho ... ill post pictures at the 4 month mark . fingers crossed the growth kicks in soon . see you in a couple weeks
  10. Quick 2 month update. Pictures aren't the greatest but they will do . I feel like I'm creeping up back to baseline. In the next few months I'll start to see some new growth.
  11. 1 month 11 days . Definitely in the ugly duckling phase.
  12. Shed most of the new hair . Existing hair growing again . Applying emu oil every other day .
  13. Here is another shot . Still applying emu oil once daily usually at night . Had a small work out today felt good. . Still shedding my new hairs .
  14. Here's day 20 . Shedding more of the transplanted hairs everyday . I have emu oil on the recipient area. Staples came out on the 26th of august . Donor feels fine , all around no pain. Thinking about starting minoxidil again but I'm not sure yet . Currently taking dutasteride with no side effects just hit the 4 month mark with the drug
  15. Day 9 Been putting vit e on the recipient area for the last couple days . Soaked head for about 10 mins today and Did a gentle cleaning of the area. About 10 single haired grafts came out with the scabs, but that's to be expected . There is still some crust/scab left but much cleaner now. Heres a couple pics .Looking pretty good I think so far. the density will be pretty good if all these hairs grow in . Donor area feels good .
  16. DAY6 putting vitamin E oil on the recipient area to help rid the scabs . hopefully they will all be gone in the next few days. thanks garageland . I will most certainly be updating the process
  17. Day 5! Scabs are present . Tonight ill put some vitamin E up there. existing hair is still there, looks ok.
  18. So its day 4 , no pain and slept well last night . I Still have the whole bag of pain killers .... Monday they said i could wear a normal hat , so Ill be going back to work that day. Quite boring sitting around..... Really hoping i can get back in the gym asap . they said to take a month off working out ... that would be absolute torture for me. Ill play it by ear and see how the donor area feels at 2 weeks , start with some light lifting and avoid straining the neck area.
  19. congrats on your recent transplant with Dr Pong. keep us posted!
  20. its day 3 . Just got back from my 3rd wash at hasson and wong. things are looking good . nice and clean . Ill post some photos as well . I will be keeping a strict log of this transplant and adding pictures often so please dont get annoyed with me .I am hoping dutasteride will do its job in maintaining my existing hair and or making it thicker . currently taking biotin msm 3 grams daily krill oil dutasteride .5mg daily green tea extract/grape seed extract
  21. i would wait till at least 12 months from your last surgery to assess the amount of shock loss you actually had . It could still come back .
  22. Here are some more progression pictures.... Ok so a little history . when i was 21 I went to a surgeon in Florida and got hacked up and left me with massive plugs that you will see below . then i saw Dr Wong and he removed many of those plugs which is the last picture. After the plug removal i saw Dr Lindsey for approx 1750 grafts for a hairline revision which you will see below as well . that surgery helped me out greatly as you will see the difference. AND last but not least 2 days ago I saw Dr Hasson for almost 1200 grafts to touch of my hairline and add more density and naturalness . I am pretty hopeful at this point in time that in several months Ill have a denser more natural hairline ... one that maybe i can show off . Its been a long journey , and im looking for my happy ending
  23. looking forward to an update ! I just had a similar case with Dr Hasson as well . Repair patient too =)
