Regular Member Bernstein Medical Posted August 30, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted August 30, 2011 Bernstein Medical - Center for Hair Restoration patient VSQ had multiple hair transplant procedures that left him with a frontal rim of plugs and marked central baldness that was difficult to camouflage, even with a comb-over. In addition, he had scarring at his frontal hairline and a substantially depleted donor supply. Four repair procedures were performed to remove the large grafts and redistribute them as individual follicular units in the front and mid-part of his scalp. In the fifth procedure, we transplanted an additional 1,184 follicular units from the donor area into the front and mid-portion of his scalp. Click the thumbnails below for a larger view. Senior Member aaron1234 Posted August 31, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted August 31, 2011 Yes, that is still a comb over but it looks sooooo much better. Very natural upfront when before it was a war zone. Moderators Al - Moderator Posted September 7, 2011 Moderators Share Posted September 7, 2011 I can't understand how doing FUE in a depleted donor area can work. If the donor area is depleted wouldn't doing over 1100 FUEs just make it look worse? Why/how would it not be better to do a strip? Regular Member galtsglutch Posted September 13, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted September 13, 2011 It looks great, but I'd still like to see what it looks like when it's not combed over.
