Mick from Farjo
Patient who originally had surgery thirty years ago.Pluggy appearance with a lower than desired hairline. Our initial thoughts were to remove the plugs and create a more naturally placed hairline and work within the forelock. He did not want to remove anything and was quite adamant on this point. An additional point was that his donor hair was very limited. He has just visited for a follow up and is happy with the progress so far.We plan to do a further review at 18 months. 1998 FUG 213 1 Hair 1599 2 " 186 2-4 " Mick Patient coordinator for Dr. Bessam Farjo who is an esteemed member of the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians

Senior Member orangehair Posted March 2, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted March 2, 2010 i concur....what a great improvement, sometimes older grafts can lay a foundation of density and the appearance can be effectively softened with fu's placed strategically in front/around the plugs with some tweaking in the hair angulation - this seems to have worked well VP Patient & Media Relations for The Hair Loss Doctors by Robert J. Senior Member Robin-at-USHR Posted March 4, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted March 4, 2010 Mick, I have to say the results for this patient turned out much better than I expected. While reading the description, I was worried that the patients results would be sacrificed in order to respect his decision of leaving the plugs in-- but upon seeing the post-op results, my worry was diminished. While it is sometimes complicated to explain to patients what you think would be the best option for surgery, I love to see good results on patients that still went against the grain and had good results. This seems to show that our doctors can really take the concerns of their patients into mind and find the best way to respect their wishes but still create the best possible results. Great outcome Mick & congrats to the doctors who successfully hid the patient's plugs and added fullness to his hairline. Robin I am employed by Dr. Parsa Mohebi at US Hair Restoration. Dr. Alan Feller
I agree. This is an excellent result. The hairline is FAR more natural and the overall look is much thicker. He must be ecstatic. Well done. Dr. F
