Senior Member Jotronic Posted June 2, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted June 2, 2011 This paitent came to see Dr. Hasson to address the frontal zone. He thought for a long time about the benefits of doing the crown as well but after several months decided he would be fine with the front alone. 2985 grafts were placed in one session for the result you see below at one year post-op. Senior Member Dutch Posted June 2, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted June 2, 2011 Hello Joe. Nice work as usual. Why didn't he want to address the crown? How come the hairline wasn't brought forward a bit more with some more grafts? Is that because of financial reasons or laxity/density issues? http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2329
Senior Member Jotronic Posted June 2, 2011 Author Senior Member Share Posted June 2, 2011 Dutch, I looked in his chart to find your answer and it appears that the patient was thinking about the crown off and on for a while before he pulled the trigger for a procedure. His laxity was fine so that was not an issue. From what I understand the patient opted not to do the crown as it was not so much of an issue for him. He realized that the front would make the biggest improvement for him since that is what he and others see the most of. It is a sound decision obviously and of course he can address this area with 1000 to 1500 grafts in the future should he so decide. Thanks for your question. Btw, I sent you a pm several weeks ago. Have you seen it? Senior Member Dutch Posted June 2, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted June 2, 2011 Thanks for the response. The grafts are very nicely packed together. No I didn't get a message, sometimes I can't load a page, maybe because I use the phone to access the website. You must have amazing memory to remember sending something from weeks ago:D http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2329
Senior Member TC17 Posted June 2, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted June 2, 2011 Looks great even without the crown being touched. Is that hair loss above each of his ears?
Senior Member Jotronic Posted June 2, 2011 Author Senior Member Share Posted June 2, 2011 Dutch, Yeah, my memory isn't so good sometimes but I do remember sending it to you. Is there another way I can get in contact with you? TC17, I agree, not all patients need crown work to look fantastic. And yes, that is hair loss slightly in front of and above his ears. This is case of retro-grade alopecia. It is fairly common. Senior Member Spanker Posted June 3, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted June 3, 2011 Jo, as far as your "combe over" post, this patient looks very appropriate and I would definitely not put this in that class. Looks great. I am an online representative for Dr. Raymond Konior who is an elite member of the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians.
