Advice needed asap

guys as some of u may know i started propecia just over a month ago now been only dosing 0.5mg each day, at 1st had testicle pain luckily that went and touch wood been fine since and hpe i stay that way, pack is nearly finished, my quetion is im very worried as my hair has defo got noticably thinner since being on this and still fallin out, is this a good thing shall i up the dosage or will that make it worse, is this intial thinner a good sign and shall i continue thanks

Sure was on it for almost a year at the full dose I mean the immediate effect was no hairs being left on my pills in the morning and def thickening mid scalp to crown but being married at the time and not fancying sex is not tolerable long term so I sacked it off for about 3 -4 months then started up again taking 1 tab week 1 2 tabs week to and so on so by week 7 was on 1 my daily and so far so good with zero issues and again it's effects starting to kick in again

hopefully your overcome them and be all good fingers crosed mate, do u think it might be a mind thing becoz of your last experience, i only just finished a pack off but only takin 0.5 and straight away thought i was experience stuff that werent there mad i know, thinkin about taklin the full 1mg soon i think u got to jut ease your body uset to it

mate i tried saw palmetto but gave me serious probs with going to the toilet and a stingin pain everytime,soon as i got off it it cleared up, what dose was u takin and how quick from takin it did your probs start

I had the same thing with finistride. I got an extremely good looking girl to bed one night and I couldn't keep the damn thing up, probably the most embarrassing moment of my life. I bought some cialis pills to make damn sure that horrible thing never happens again but taking all these pills kinds of worries me. My hair looks better than it has in years though.

Started 1mg every day and within a few days I could notice the standard side-effects. Now, this was probably down to Propecia but most certainly a combination of the mind games from the threads relating to how it has destroyed people's libido. During the course I could maintain but wasn't as before plus semen was more liquid. I held on and at the three months mark , everything went back to 100% normal plus I the noticeable gains on hair thickness and retention.

 

Testicle pain at the beginning was part of the deal as well. I reckon you you monitor your body and if you see literally adverse reactions, then considere limiting the dose and see how you recover. Trial and error. Usually response to dosages can be realised in a week, or at least in my case.

I do think a lot of the anxiety and worry is, like you say, the mind games triggered by reading so many horror stories. I can't remember the exact figure, but I think a drop in libido was experienced by only 2-3% of men on the 1mg a day dose - and that's not necessarily due to the finasteride, since lots of things can cause it. Worth checking out the exact figures as I can't quite remember them!
