Regular Member magicaltimes Posted January 23, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted January 23, 2011 (edited) First of all my gratitude to this wonderful forum. It was because of this forum that i was able to make such an important decision so quickly. and especially to wb280 and dtyn. the photo guide posted by dtyn to the clinic was extremely useful. i had got a bad hair transplant done in 2006. did absolutely no research. it was pretty bad and painful. vowed to never get one again I had no plans on getting a HT done till december 2010. i was wearing a system for 4 years. i was just browsing through in december. and stumbled upon this forum and Mr.damkerng. i was very impressed. i was happy with my system. but there were a lot of downsides to it. a hell a lot of maintenance, and indirect comments from "friends", worried about the glue coming out, diplomatic lies about my hair, in the end it was not my hair. and it does not grow. I would love to get back my hair anyday! The HT procedure went on very well. Today is the 4th day. Healing very well. Removing my head band on the 5th day. and my stitches on the 6th day. 3431 grafts and 7164 hairs in total. Doc said i had real thick hair. 1 hair 449 grafts 2 hairs 2231grafts 3 hairs 751grafts The 1st pic has the hair plugs from my 1st transplant. (front line). 3rd, 4th and 5th pics are were taken immediately after the transplant. Please do leave your comments. Thank you so much. Doc has also prescribed minoxidil 5mg tablet for my native hair. Been taking that and Finesteride 1.25mg. Edited December 19, 2011 by magicaltimes
Senior Member RCWest Posted January 23, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted January 23, 2011 You DO have some excellent density! Almost 2.1 hairs per follicle average! 3431 grafts in that size area is going to be very thick. Dr. P is one of the greats and I think you will be looking good by the end of the year. Good luck! Finasteride 1.25 mg. daily Avodart 0.5 mg. daily Spironolactone 50 mg twice daily 5 mg. oral Minoxidil twice daily Biotin 1000 mcg daily Multi Vitamin daily Damn, with all the stuff you put in your hair are you like a negative NW1? Regular Member magicaltimes Posted January 25, 2011 Author Regular Member Share Posted January 25, 2011 removed my sutures on day 6. took 10 mins. most of the time painless. at times felt like a mosquito bite. donor scar healing well. i have been wearing a bandana and the head band for 6 days now. thought wearing a hat would affect the grafts. so i have not been wearing a hat since the procedure. when's the right time to wear a hat (tight grip)? and the right time to remove the head band? does the sweating which occurs inside the hat when one wears it affect the grafts? Regular Member BillyJ Posted January 28, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted January 28, 2011 magicaltimes, The more I see of Dr Path's work the more impressed I become and this is no exception. Good luck and grow well over the coming months. As for the hat issue I would not have thought wearing one at this stage should have an adverse effect. However, can I suggest if in doubt consult with Dr Path for a definitive view. Bill My Hair Loss Website - Hair Transplant with Dr. Wong

Senior Member Dutch Posted April 20, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted April 20, 2011 Congrats! That's one hell of a hairline the doc gave you, very impressive! Regular Member jimmybald Posted April 21, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted April 21, 2011 (edited) Congrats on the surgery. I have a question about the oral minox. I noticed that your hair was severely thin in the crown in your before pictures but know it is very thick. Do you contribute that success to the oral minoxidil? Edited April 21, 2011 by jimmybald
Regular Member magicaltimes Posted April 23, 2011 Author Regular Member Share Posted April 23, 2011 oral minox is the only medication i am taking. so i guess it should be because of that.
