Regular Member myeddula51 Posted December 18, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted December 18, 2010 (edited) Hi All I had just undergone my HT with Dr Paul Shapiro yersterday . As always Dr Paul was very informative and we discussed to go around 3000 grafts also my case is a classical progrssive male pattern baldness ; and added that my donor density is not realy great. Senior Member Blake Bloxham Posted December 18, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted December 18, 2010 Myeddula51, Congratulations on your recent procedure with Dr. Paul Shapiro! As you're well aware, he's an excellent hair transplant surgeon and I think you've made a wise decision. Also, thank you for keeping the community updated on your progress; the work looks top notch, and this should be a great result when fully matured. Good luck! Senior Member aaron1234 Posted January 5, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted January 5, 2011 myeddula, Congrats! You went to a top notch doc and things look good for 19 days post op. Your questions: Q: can i use rogaine 5 % on the grafted area? A: Most likely yes, but I'd ask Dr. Paul just to be sure. My skin always got irritated with that stuff so I stay away from it altogether. Q: which is better to use toppik or nanogen to cover the HT? A: There are both essentially the same. Little dust fibers that attach to your hair to make it look fuller. Both would be fine at this point. I personally like nanogen more because I think it matches my color better. Q: when to start propecia? A: Now! Call SMG and get a prescription. Senior Member aaron1234 Posted August 11, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted August 11, 2011 Dude, you are lucky to have as much hair as you do right now without fin. Get on that ASAP in my opinion and you won't regret it. Not only can it save your hair it can improve the quality of it. Don't let the side-effect fear-mongering get to you. Just a small dose can save a lot of hair. It will totally compliment the great HT you got from Dr. Paul.
