Senior Member Speegs Posted August 24, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted August 24, 2010 On day four I began shedding scabs with hair in them, no blood, and by day seven virtually all scabs were gone. Now at day 10 I have been shedding hairs like a mad man when rubbing neosporin on the recipient site, already I have bare patches in the recipient area and a couple of red marks that look like pimples. Now I realize all of what i've seen is normal with hte exception, i think, of the time span. AM I just a fast healer? When they went to take my sutures out on day seven they said my skin was already growing over and around the sutures and it actually took some effort to get them out. So does all of this point to healing at a rapid pace? I seem a good week a head of schedule, maybe two, is that cause for alarm? Hair loss patient and transplant veteran. Once a Norwood 3A. Senior Member wb280 Posted August 24, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted August 24, 2010 Speegs, like u mentioned yourself, none of the events are irregular which i feel there is no need to ring any alarm. I supposed u did ask your surgeon about it? View my hair loss website. Senior Member waveskier Posted August 24, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted August 24, 2010 Was I supposed to put neosporin on the recipient site? Nobody told me about that one.
Senior Member Fingers Crossed Posted August 24, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted August 24, 2010 Every surgeon's post op instructions are different. As long as you followed your surgeon's post op instructions, I believe you'll have a great result! Regular Member salvar Posted August 25, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted August 25, 2010 Sounds normal even though you are a bit a head of the average time, it usually does take some effort to take the stitches out even though only done on day 7, mostly due to people not washing the scar properly because they are afraid of touching it to much.
