Am I missing something here? I do not see any before and after photos on Dr. Rose's website. The pics listed on this site are hard to tell what is before and what is after.

Thanks for the very detailed answer Dr. Beehner I have been taking Propecia/Proscar for many years. For about the first 5 to 6, I had great results. Then it seemed to lose its effectiveness. The last 2 years have been a real downer. I don't even feel like I am a transplant candidate because of the continual loss going on. What are the options for a guy in my situation?

Mrknned Avodart really hasn't proved to be that much more effectiuve than propecia. But it seems to have very mixed results. Such reports include massive sheds, front hairlines going in a few months, major sexual problems,..... Recently a study showed that sperm counts were massively reduced long term for a fet test patients. I can post some stats if you would like.

Pat, Your post really hits home when you think about the big picture. We as men whine because our scalps are getting larger. We worry about not getting chicks, future jobs,.......because of it. But then you see the photos of little kids you have posted, and you have to begin to wonder how really traumatic is must be for a child to have to endure the stares, laughs and ridicule of something so disfiguring. What are you waiting for? There is a big need for a few more talented doctors in the Pacific Northwest.

I have always wondered since there is some speculation from Pat regarding H&W spliiting the grafts, that maybe other doctors are being short changed. Actually what I am saying is that maybe Nic's 10,000+ grafts might actually only be 8 or 9,000 at another clinic which does not split the grafts.

marky, you might try a consult with Dr. Rahal Better results than Jones in my opinion. Also he is not too far (Ottawa) from you. I am assuming from your name that you are about 26 years old. Is this correct?

Hey Fuzzy, I hear ya! There has so many times where Bill comes back and gives the standard line "I apologize for coming across so strong....." Good luck with all the hair sites, and hopefully you can learn a little bit from each.

Honestly HLH appears to be the most genuine of the hair loss sites. People can post about products, just about any doctor, shit talk a bit and so on. I even find myself laughing quite a bit on that site which is a nice distraction from the balding process. Hair Loss Talk seems to be more of a site for realy young guys at the first stage of panic. Not alot of meat on the site. This site seems to be a bit too guarded which in my opinion keeps many away. Really dry with little humor. Not being able to really talk about certain products and doctors seems counter productive in my opinion. I do appreicate the photo history Pat has put togeter on this site though. Now watch me get banned for my honesty. lol

I felt very uncomfortable during my consult with Dr. Zeiring. His salesman did most of the consult and Dr. Zeiring came in and spent about 5 minutes with me. He seemed very fake and the salesman seemed very pushy. They were trying to steer me into a supposed cancellation slot about 2 weeks out. If you want to stay close to home try Dr. Alexander in Phoenix. It's a short cheap plane ride from LAX and a much better doctor in my opinion.
