  1. yeah, but you don't get to drive your hair. come to think of it, ht's are more valuable and they don't come w/protection like cars. HT should come equipped with "hair-bags" w/our purchase for our protection...In the event of a sudden *jOLt* they could explode protecting our grafts... Ill look into it! There might be complications in the event that two ht patients *both* equipped w/hair bags are next to one another, if one hair-bag explodes it might perhaps cause the other's hair-bag to explode w/out warning or proper cause...much like the car-alarm phenomena...if one "hair-bag" explodes it could cause a chain reaction of "hair-bag's" exploding for blocks, miles, across state lines, crossing both continents and seas....the sky will be filled w/the residual sMoKe of the billions of hair-bags sudden combustion, blacking out the sun for hours, days, weeks on end.Hmmmm...the consequences could be perplexing and change the world as we know it....
  2. Im not sure what Wasson & Hong charge... I *think* it is 4-$5 a graft, then discounted after a certain amount of grafts...
  3. Hair Art--- Have you seen the Fine Italian Hair Art Film, where formulas are formulated to formulate other formulas which indicated where the hairline (OoOps!) eyes should be, ears should be formalitng....? http://www.alviarmanihairtransplant.com/aboutus/drarmanismessage.html
  4. Good Evening Balding Bozos!!! Today is Easter, a day in which Christians celebrate the ressurection of Jesus Christ and non-Christians become "spiritual" for a day ("spiritual for a DAY"= belief in a "higher-power" w/no accountability, and even less of an idea of what precisely that "higher-power" is) and children hunt for eggs and eat candy. Let us, balding men, celebrate the resserection of our hair! Any cool mop shots anyone? If not, just send your balding blessings!

  6. It is not *mandatory* but it is strongly suggested. Many have undergone ht's and not been on the meds, it just increases risk of future loss of "native hair" and another ht. I have never heard of Dr. Arocho, is he a member of the Coalition of recommended surgeons on this forum? If not, I seriously wouldn't go with him. Sorry, Im sure you'll find that blanket generalization offensive, especially since I don't even know if he *is* a member of the coalition or not---but in all fairness I have never heard of him or researched anyone in Texas---this surgery is a *HUGE* deal and will be permanently on your scalp where everyone can see it for the rest of your life. If the doc is a member of the coalition then I wouldn't be overly concerned. How did you hear of him and how much of his work have you seen? ..."It does make sense because they do not fall of where they are now. (neck)"... This is called 'donor dominance'...basically, that your hair (from the back and sides of your scalp the 'donor') maintains it's same properties when transplanted. So, *if* it is not prone to MPB then it will not fall out when it is transplanted. I only qualify that statement because some men, though extremely rare, have a form of baldness which they lose ALL their hair including that of the "donor" area...but it is VERY rare...
  7. Precisely! Me too, and this is *never* discussed on the forum. It would allow one who later goes on to an extensive stage of baldness (i.e.NW6+) to shave down while still having a *shaved* look (not a balding look) w/a low round hair line and plenty of stubble on top!
  8. DAMN!!! That is fantastic! I wouldn't worry about density issues then. But, if your a NW4 how is he quoting you so much density? Is that w/respect to the hair line alone, Im assuming? But, even then that is tremendous density! Great choice on the doc by the way! He is my top choice as well. You don't have to shave down to a #1 by any means. Also, doesn't have to be an EZ chair either, to sleep in. With such a world class act, just ask H&W and they will tell you *everything* you need to know. I would trust them over all of us balding bozo's any day of the week! Oh yeah, how many grafts did H&W estimate for you? Are you a diffuse thinner (i.e. any hair on top left) and have they seen your donor in person?
  9. HEY MR. NO, 1) One needs propecia to ensure no further loss in the crown and/or sides laterals of their head. 1-b.2c.d) the transplanted hair---*after* it has fully matured 12-18 months---will go through the normal cycle of growth and resting phases like all your hair naturally does. his hair "coming out" when he combes it is normal. 2) this is why it is "important" to get on propecia---even though I have not! The "normal" procedure for this, given it is a top doc, is to transplant within the native hair, given it already has some loss/thinning, so that if/when it falls out, it is not apparant that you had a transplant. 3) I "think" that sounds about right... 4)I wish! No doc is going to do this for you and tell you precisely how "you" will look. 5) Hmmm...A forum member named Dewayne recently posted on financing options. Don't recall off hand. If that doesn't pan out, perhaps a credit card w/interest free financing, then credit surf? 6) http://hassonandwong.com/index.php Pom-Pom time! Check them out, they are the best of the best! 7) not in Houston... Example of great work: http://www.hairlosshelp.com/websites/galleryview.cfm?id...lution|gallery10.cfm I don't know what doc your considering, you might want to disclose his name so people can give you some feed back, but HT's can be a REALLY messy business *if* you don't go to a great doc; and there are *very* few of them. This field is NOT regulated and many men end up ruining their noggins because of it...be careful.
  10. Hair on the Head of a NON-MPB Man: -I recall hearing the *average* a long time ago, but I can't remember, it would be very interesting to know though. -hair per 2 cm: 80-120; but, I got that from Armani's Fine Italian Hair Art movie so I can't ensure it's veracity. -many guys end up buzzing their head down to a #1 clipper or so, after they get their staples out so they don't have a Bozo the Clown look while it is growing out. The biggest concern is hiding the scar. -most docs recommend you sleep in an E-Z type chair---sitting w/your head up---the first few nights. Who are you having your ht with? Did you do much research? What is your age, NW level? These really aren't "dumb questions," but rather good one's. I would suggest changing the title of your post to: ----"Intelligent Inquisitions"... *Additional Interesting Fact: while I don't recall the average # of hairs on the head of a Non MPB man, it is said that hair loss cannot even be detected until 50% of the native hair is lost. So, if one can replace up to 50% of their hair via a ht, it will have the "illusion" of a full head of hair.
  11. Gazza, yeah, either way it's def. the "shaved look".
  12. ok...must be some language *barrier* or something... Here's an English *to* English translation: Isn't your avator Kojack? Your head is growing hair right? Kojack is *bald* right? You *might* have to put a wig on your Kojack avotar to *reflect* your new *do* (i.e. 'HAIR') once it grows out... Can you give me your mailing address, I want to draw you a picture/diagram so you understand...
  13. -----PARENTHETICAL BREAK------------- (I think I could *learn* to love her...could you?)
  14. No...I don't know what part of the country your in, but Im in California. It was on 93.3 FM... Actually your response sounded so similar to that, I began wondering if it was you! BTW----------- how did you hear of this? You must be in Cali, eh?
  15. I agree 100%! Great story to exemplify this... Recently I heard on the radio, this girl had posted on a dating site that she was only interested in men who made at least 500K a year and were looking for a serious relationship to get married. Her justification for this (what she brought to the table) was that she was both young and very sexy. Well, she got a response. A gentleman who was a stock broker for J.P. Morgan (and happened to leave all of his contact info for her) said that he feels that the terms of her agreement were unfair. He said, that while it is true that she is *currently* young and sexy, she is a depreciating asset while he is an appreciating asset. With time, her looks will fade. By the age of 30, she will no longer be "young" and not nearly as "sexy". On the other hand, he will not only continue to make money, but with all certainty will make even *more*. His net-worth, will continue to grow. While she, viewed as an "asset" will continue to depreciate. He further justified his position by stating that, under her current terms she is bringing to the table her youth and sex appeal in EXCHANGE for his money. He further stated that the likelihood of him losing his money is very rare, but if *IF*....IF, he ever loses his money, she will most assuradly leave him. As that is the sole reason why she wanted him. But, make no mistake about it, she WILL lose her youth and sex appeal, then if he decides to leave her, she will have earned 50% of his net appreciation. He ended with: I could not agree to this arrangement under your terms, but perhaps a lease shall suffice? Oh, it was CLASSIC!
  16. Hey Tango, I've *never* heard of burning of the feet from Minoxidil. That is a long way for it to travel. Something else, perhaps athlete's foot? Have you sojourned in any Shower Rooms recently? Notice any fungus growing from your toes?...
  17. Godzluv, I would *strongly* recommend you start your own thread as I am sure many people would like to take a look at your situation and gladly give you input which you can glean from *prior* to moving forward to remedy your situation. I am curious why in your initial thread you waited three years after the procedure though? It's not surprising that no one has responded to you, to the extent that it is on someone *else's* thread. Looking back at your original posting it is clear that people did respond and were *very* troubled that this was performed by a member of the Coalition. And Aussie I think that was extremely presumptuous of you, w/out even "connecting the dots" that this was someone else's thread. I think we would all be *MOST* interested in complaints pertaining to members of the Coalition. That being said I think there are possibly a couple of different things going on here: #1 Scar--- It does look *very* poor and I would NOT be happy w/that at all. Im really sorry that you have had to live w/that and hopefully it can be revised quickly and left looking naturally. However, I did notice on your original thread that Nervous Nelly pointed out that the scar looks like a "keloid formation" (scar tissue goes haywire) which he commented as being common in African American's. I had *never* heard of this prior to that thread. Did the doctor make you fully aware of this risk, and if so in terms of the likelihood of you experiencing this? #2 Recipient Area--- I would *assume* the 800 grafts were used to rebuild the front of your hair line. If that *was* the case, then it certainly looks like substandard work which I would be *very* unhappy with. However, it is *very* difficult to get an accurate read on the situation having not seen your pre-op pics or where the grafts were placed. Another thing to consider is that it has been about three and a half years since your original procedure. Have you experienced additional hair loss? But, certainly you would know after the first 12 months if the transplanted hair grew or not, which you stated they did not. That does sound *very* troubling to me. I think you should start your own thread where all of us can discuss this and it will be organized in one place for you and others.
  18. Looking good, it's definitely starting to come in. Congrats! Hey, in a few months you might have to throw a wig on Kojack to reflect your new do!
  19. Anyone watch the Fine Italian Hair Art Movie? (two formulatic thumbs of Italian Hair Art Up!!) http://www.alviarmanihairtransplant.com/aboutus/drarmanismessage.html I didn't know that Da Vinci and other Italian artists, were scientific artists who--------------- "formulated FORMULAS, of THOUSANDS of YOUNG men, formulating MEASUREMENTS of hairLINE's... eyes should be and EARS should MEASURE beauty by which we can formulate hair line FORMULAS which formulate a BEAUTIFUL MAN...which features FORMULATE other formulas to have a FORMULA of *art* the BEAUTIFUL formula of hair" HT's: Art & Science via Davinci? it's a first! Didn't know ht's were that old! or there were *exact* measurements for Beauty! lets formulate formulas to formulate artistic formulas of artistic forumulation!!!! * KEY WORDS:---- FORMULA & ARTISTIC---------------------- **Key MISSING words: *anything* relative to the field... Another favorite QUOTE: "It is scalpel free, we do NOT *cut* the patient" -Armani
  20. BTW---- (Fine Italian Hair Art Movie Enclosed) http://www.alviarmanihairtransplant.com/aboutus/drarmanismessage.html Armani has (drum roOooOOoOoOOoOOlLLLL...) ----SIXTEEN clinics world wide. That is *SIXTEEN* clinics all of which perform Mega FUE! We have not seen 1 single clear pic of a mega fue yet (?)... There is one pic on that web page of a guy who had 4K done in one session via FUE, but it is a blatant over kill of grafts as any other doc would only use 2K in that size of an area. He makes the claim that they are using the "newest and latest technology"...hmmm...ok then why hasn't there been a new patent out on FUE tools? He would stand to make a ton of dough AND reserve the right to only use it at his clinics; rather odd. Also rather odd there are no clear pics of mega fue, and the quality of the pics are no where near the standards we get from other docs on here...Hmmmm... People keep saying "he is only one clinic, lets wait"...well, there are SIXTEEN all over the damn world now. Also, how do SIXTEEN docs now all of the sudden have the expertise to do Mega FUE when NOONE else in the world can do them? Oh yeah, almost forgot my favorite QUOTES from the Italian Hair Art Movie: "I use my background in both Roman and Italian art when creating hair lines." -Armani "A patient can look at the procedure almost like a holiday to a spa." -Armani BTW---isn't he middle eastern w/a real long name and changed it to Armani? Now he is posing in Italy and comparing his "art" to the likes of DaVinci (?)... PlEeZe---at *best* he's a slick used car salesman.
  21. Seriously, I have no idea what is going on in your head to make you perceive things this way and express it in these terms. #1 Everyone on this forum is here for the same purpose and that is to find *both* a method & a doctor that are a viable option for them. #2 We *always* use evidence to conclude which doc and method are viable for us; and *pictures* are the evidence. #3 This entire thread is about Armani's new *Mega* FUE claims. #4 We are asking, as we *always* do, for pictures. #5 There are *Zero*. I can speak for myself when I say Im not viewing this as a FUE vs. Strip battle; it is not. What *is* in question is the new MEGA FUE. This is not personal. The above are the ways we always go about the business of evaluating doctors and their claims on this forum. Before you stated: "Now that im looking for fue results I am finding them." Ok. Either somewhere along the way you forgot that this whole "debate" was over Mega FUE -or- you just simply aren't sharing the "fue results" you found w/us (?)... you also said: "I stopped posting on HLH because Farrell would not show his Wolf FUE results. I felt that was non-transparent and masked problems which he may have had. The anti-FUE scare tactics on this forum appear to me just as negative. Given that there are maybe only ten fue cases being posted on the web at this time, it will be difficult to show the grown out results for a number of months." Your *seriously* comparing someone intentionally NOT sharing pictures of their results w/us ASKING FOR *PICS* (?)... I think it's rather ridiculous that you insist everyone keep an open mind, when all we are asking for are pics, as we *always* do. This same standard is applied to all docs on here, so I really don't know how your coming to the conclusions your drawing. People on HLH have been asking for pics from Armani for over a *YEAR* now...He didn't just start doing this yesterday. Every time they ask, they say "oh in a few more months they will be up"...for a *YEAR*...and then here you too are giving the same justification that they just aren't grown out yet. The *only* pics we have seen are *thin* and *weak* at best. Quite frankly, Im rather floored at your ability to maintain such an idealistic, borderline naive view, placing your trust in someone as questionable as Armani while at one and the same time accusing some of us on here as using scare tactics and mudslinging, for merely holding him to precisely the same standard we do every other surgeon on this forum (?)... Given that everyone has been waiting for the Armani pics for a year now, how many more six month periods should we sit by, "open-minded," without passing judgement, and hold our breath?... *Perhaps* the reason why there are ZERO Mega FUE pics anywhere from *any* docs, is for the same reason Feller gave: that FUE places excessive trauma to the donor area when compared to strip, making all subsequent procedures more difficult to successfully extract grafts. The Evidence in favor of this argument is that there are NO Mega FUE from *anyone*...
