I know!!! man, what I wouldn't give to be able to put a large wad of gel in my palm and my finger tips and just slick back my hair like I was 16 again. All I want for Christmas is more density.

Nice post HB, I think this philosophy is the same reason its nearly impossible to pull off the gel or wet look. Being able to pull off the gel/wet look would probably require the same density you would need to pull of a buzz cut, without anyone noticing that you were losing hair of course.

Ahhh the hair greed kicking in. Man, we all have it. I'd love more density too! Its crazy how the hair greed kicks in. It comes in waves that damn hair greed. Some days everything is fine, than all of a sudden when your not suspecting it---> BAM, it hits you and you feel like you need more and more.... WISHING YOU ALL A HAIRY CHRISTMAS!!!

oh crap, I didn't even think about freaking out b/c of changing Docs. That would trip me out too. Well, its good to know that it gets easier with each HT. Thanks guys.

Bill and HB, I guess I should of clarified my question. I think Bill nailed it on the head. I was actually wondering about the emotional rather than physical pain of it all. I didn't realize "the wait" was going to be so bad. I actually had no idea that I would regress before I saw any new developments. I guess what I'm asking, "Does the wait get easier to deal with after your second or third HT?" I'm thinking it does.

wow looks good especially dry. How does your hair look when you put water or gel in it?

Hey Bill and Hairbank, Just a quick question. Going thru more than one procedure, does the process get easier the second or third time around? Or is it just as painful to go thru it again? Not that I am contemplating another HT right not, I just want to know for future reference.... thanks, GP

dood....I wanted to blow my head off at month 4-5. I know it sucks and the only thing that I can do to get my mind off it is to be extremely busy with work so I don't have time to look in the mirror. No one else seems to really care and yet we constantly can't stop checking and waiting for those babies to grow. Man, I'm at 6 months and my hair is basically only a little better than it was pre-HT. But I'm no where near as bad as I felt at 4.5 months. hang in there man.

Hey action, I'm at 6 months as well so I'll be keeping track of your progress. I totally understand how bad it is to have to wait and wait. sucks huh?

HEY doods, I'm at 6 months and the hair is growing. From the looks of the pictures its at the very least at pre-HT levels and with a tiny bit lowering of the hairline on the Right side. I remember Dr. Hasson putting some grafts there. I haven't yet started on any minoxidil and at this point I'm not going to use the stuff anymore. I'm just going to wait and see how much more thickening I can get on the HT and avodart combo. I just want to say thanks for everyone's help during my panic attack 1.5 months ago. The waves of freaking out are coming in less and less, and I have a lot more hope now. I'm hoping the next couple months show some substantial thickening. What do you guys think? GP

Whats up Userdefined, The hair you do have pre-HT looks really thick. Do you mind me asking how much hair traction you experienced to loose a significant amount of hair? GP

I'm almost 6 months and while the numbness has faded a lot in the donor and recipient area, its still present. It doesn't bother me when I sleep anymore...it used to feel like I slept on a rock, but slowly and surely there is still some numbness there.

dood, I started loosing hair at 21 and prolly was almost a NW 3 when I decided to start propecia and minoxidil. I also was able to muster up some courage and get my parents involved. At first they kept on blowing it off saying things like don't worry about it and hair doesn't matter just look at your dad, he's bald and perfectly happy. After 3 years of bitching...they totally support the use of meds and even my HT. I'd get on the meds asap. But I would agree with the above posts, it is a life long process and once you enter the world of hair restoration, you pretty much can't turn back- unless you don't mind your hair falling out again. yep...I'll keep waiting. I'm excited to see what grows in the upcoming months. I hope holding off on the minoxidil is the right thing to do. But I guess I just have to know for myself if the HT can do its magic so I never have to go on that crap again. Sorry MM I don't have any pictures before the 4 month point. I really didn't want to think about the HT so I didn't keep progress on it--now I wish I had taken some pictures just for future reference. I was really pretty good about not having any hair scares untill that 4.3 month point. I guess it was just all building up inside me. there was that part of me that just wanted the damn hair to grow and not have to think that it might not...or that the minoxidil dependent hairs would die. Hey M&M just checked out your 6.5 month update! looks great man! I'm crossing my fingers for some of the same in the upcoming months. Anyways I'll keep posting and hopefully the growth really kicks in soon or I just **cked myself.

5 month update. It's starting to thicken a little bit but I don't its yet to pre-HT but at least its getting thicker. I'm over the hair scare I had a couple weeks ago and I'm trying my best to stop looking in the mirror every second but I do notice the hair thickening slowly so its helping the anxiety. I decided to wait untill the 8 month point before I get back on minoxidil. I have a bottle of the foam next to me in case I need to get back on the juice. I do think the MSM and ultranourish hair is making my hair grow faster. I'm also cutting my finger nails twice a week instead of once a week, but I could just be tripping. Thanks for everyone who got me through the hair scare. I do appreciate it. I hope I don't have to go through another one of those. keep you guys updated on the progress. Thanks again!!

Thanks guys....really appreciate it. I haven't yet started to re-use the minoxidil and the more I think about it its true at 6 months all that was gained is probably gone by now. I think I'll wait till month six to eight and see how the HT works out. I guess it doesn't make a difference if I use minoxidil now or if I start up in 3-4 months from now right? I think I just had a major freak out for the past couple of days....wow...I wonder how many more of these hair breakdowns I'm going to have. Thanks again bayscholar and Hairbank
