  1. Hello just got back home last night. My 1st transplant 51 weeks ago went very well about 2400 fu's with Ron Shapiro.Last week I had Paul Shapiro do another 2400 ish fu's, Things are going very smooth so far, I was a norwood 6 to6.5 ,so 2400-2500 was a good start, but I was still bald in crown and on back center, Now I feel much better with about 5000 fu's. My 1st HT I had the cash saved up. This time I'm going to make payments for a few years. I was 22 to 23 years old when I lost my hair and due to Psoriasis and dents in my crown that showed up after my hair fell out[looked terrible] I would to have had to wear a hat 24 hours a day or get a hair piece which I wore for 26 horrible years. Now I'll have better healthier hair at 52 years old than at 22 years old.30 years ago this would have been called sci -fi,now it's real.Sure I don't like making Hair payments, but if you think about all the misery I'm in,then it's OK, life just is not fair. Now I'll be able to work with local doc's for dermititis, psorasis, etc. I finally feel with this much coverage,I'll be able to hide my flaws and maybe by next June -July 08 ,I'll be able to walk down the street without a hat. I'm now in the Graftcyte spray,no t-shirts, keep clean,be careful stage. I feel so far that The Shapiro Medical group is the best out there, and If you have any questions you can e mail me. I hope I don't have any shock loss[i had nearly 0 last time]Please pray for me and I'll do the same for you. Some guys look fine bald and grow into it fine, but that did'nt work for me at all, I was a mess, and for the next few months I kinda still feel that way,but now after 2 HT's at least I got a ray of hope, Thanks for your time ,my thoughts and prayers to you all that need help with your own hair loss problems.Good Luck, and make great decicions, EUGENE

  3. Hello, I'm 51.Started wearing a haipiece when I was 23,I had hair falling out hourly, dandruff, etc. I was a mess[still am]I had my 1st hair transplant at age 50 2500 fu's,now I'm going back in 6 weeks for another 2500 fu's, I went to the best brothers in Bloomington ,MN[you know EM],lucky for me I found them on this web site. I was a norwood 6.5 ish. This message is for all you young guys out there, SEE YOUR DOC right away, and deal with your hairloss with the NEW proven drugs. [that weren't there when I was young]AND READ THIS WEB SITE ALOT ! then if you want a hair transplant, start soon and do fill in's etc,Don't wait until all your hair falls out, and NEVER NEVER buy a hairpiece.Without question the hardest thing I've ever done in my entire life was {is}making that transition from big full head of hair[fake] to my real new growing real hair, by the time I'm done and I feel real again ,2 years will have past, before I can go without a hat,do you know how sick of hats I am? Luckly I became disabled and can no longer work,so my old job boys can't make fun of me and my hair, scalp issues[ESAD boys]. I'll be so glad when next summer comes '08 ,maybe I can finally walk down a F...... street without a F...... hat.If you want to work on hair loss see your qualified DOC ! FAST! or shave your mellon,or buy a boat load of hats, but DON'T start with hairpieces, glue tape, updates, special private hair cuts, Don't do it, it SUCKS. Thanks for reading my statement.START YOUR HAIR LOSS TREATMENTS EARLY IN LIFE, TRY TO SAVE YOUR HAIR !,TAKE CARE OF YOUR HAIR !

  5. Hello,it seams many people use concealers with good results, I'm 6 months post op 2500 FU's so my hair is still looking very thin, but a lot of growing going on. How much hair do need to use these products? and when can you start using them? I've read some things on this site about concealers causing some hair loss, that would suck spending $10,000.00 on my HT only to buy some junk that would cause damage. Dermatch's web site says that it's for HT guys.Read their web site. I need some help here, My caps are still my best friends, which also sucks.
  6. At 4 1/2 monthes after HT, my wife says, If all those 2500 FU's are put in on the same day,why do they all grow back at different rates? some hairs are now 1 1/2 inches long some are just poping up and some are still waiting to sprout, Whats up with that, why aren't they all growing like wild bastards?

  8. Just past 4 months, from Dr. Ron Shapiro, everything going ok, got lots of little hairs 1/8" to 1/2" seem to be poping up, but I get real bummed as I look in mirror I'm still very bald looking. I guess from 4 to 8 months is when it all gets going, I can see action ,but I hate this waiting. Anyone else get these down and out hair grows too slow wear your cap 24/7 blues? 2500 FU's on a norwood 5 -maybe 6, I might go back for another 1500-1800 FU's in june.

  10. I had a new receding higer hairline established, and am about a 5 to 6 on norwood scale so I'll still have a bald spot on top of my crown . I'm supposed to wait 1 year then decide if I want more hair, What do most people say about using Rogain after the 1st 2 weeks ish? does Rogain help most new HT people? I'm on Propecia now.
  11. Hello everyone, I'm now into my 2nd week of HT, got my staples out yesterday. DR Ron Shapiro did my HT. I was a hair piece guy for 26 years! I'm now 50 so for over 1/2 my life I wore a HP. I always had good people help me and bought good HP's but still got sick of them! I had the same job almost 30 years and now semi retired so I did'nt have to put up with going back to a job and been made fun of. I'm starting a new life, and in a few weeks a new job where I can wear a hat. The HT seams like the easy part. The hard part I feel will be the transition between wearing a HP and the growing of new hair. 2500 FU's Any help or advice out there? I can't post pic's because I live out in the sticks and have slow dial up {outer net}. Any help or support will make me feel better, Thanks.
