  1. I'm just guessing here since I'm not an expert but I would think a doctor would have more control with sutures than with staples.
  2. I think the techs are extremely important. I think they could easily mean the difference between a good HT and a bad HT. The techs do so much of the actual HT.
  3. Thanks Wantego, Did you see my post op pic? Please comment on that and also please tell me how long wil it take for my existing hair to come back as you can see in my pre op pic in my blog. Thanks. Arnolder I did see your post op picture. It looks like your doctor covered a lot of ground with 1800 grafts. Do you know how many hairs that was? I'm just a HT patient like you so I do not have any expertise. I think many people grow back at different rates. I can only guess that your pre op existing hair would grow at a similar rate that it did before your HT. Many (not all) people follow a similar time line regarding HTs. 1 month=grafts shed 2 months=ugly duckling period 3-4 months= Beginning of some new growth
  4. Welcome to the site. I'm glad you are doing your research. This is a huge decision for somebody at 21 years of age. H&W have a great reputation. Good luck with everything.
  5. That was very well said Bill. Almost all of us are here because we faced the same problem. We should be able to discuss it without a bunch of personal insults or attacks. Actually there are hundreds of posters that do discuss things without the personal attacks and that is one reason why the web site is so successful in my opinion.

    Avodart

Is Avodart any different than propecia/proscar? Somebody in a post said Avodart blocks 2 kinds of DHT while propecia/proscar only blocks 1. All the different names have me a bit confused. Are they all the same thing just packaged in different sizes?
  7. Each doctor may have different post op directions for when/how to shampoo or use Minox. My doctor had us shampoo/rinse using a cup not under a spray. He also had us start Minox after 14 days. You might want to discuss your questions with your own doctor though. I wish you the best of luck with your HT!
  8. Hey EZ thanks for all the great pics on your blog. I liked the donor pictures since they showed some things I would not ordinarily see. I can see some improvement for sure despite 6 months still being pretty early. How are you feeling about things?
  9. I can not remember for sure but I think Lost My Swagger may have gone to Bosley.
  10. Hi jbkg, I answered your PM a week or so ago. I hope you got it. Feel free to ask me any questions. I did not have Adrian send me pictures. There are pictures on Dr Rahals website and pictures posted by patients on various HT boards. Some patients do give permission for their pictures to be used and some patients do not. I think it just depends on the individual patient. Good luck with everything!
  11. I look forward to seeing your pictures. I hope you get a fantastic result!
  12. How do you feel about things? I realize it is still way early. May I ask who did your recent fue? Good luck with everything!
  13. This is a really interesting topic. How do you like it? Any draw backs? What was the cost?
  14. BANDIDO, Thank you very much for the kind words. I will send you a private message in a few minutes so that I do not highjack the Armani thread.
  15. While most Armani complaints seem to have come since he has done FUE I do know of 2 patients I have spoken with personally that really regret the strip work he did on them. To be fair, there are also some patients that rave about his strip work.
  16. What is nape hair? Is that the hair on the back of your neck?
  17. Welcome to the board. Any chance you can post pictures of both procedures? What did Dr. Armani or Pats205 say about your FUE result? When did it take place? Good luck with your latest HT with Dr. Feller. I hope you end up with a great result.
  18. Thanks for the reply Dr. Lindsey. It is right in my hair line (recipient area). If it is a deep suture wound is it something I should be concerned about? It doesnt seem like a big deal. Just a pinhead white scab of crust. Sadly I cant pop in to see my doctor. He is around 2000 miles away.
  19. Thanks for the reply. When I asked my doctor via email about it 2 months ago he said it might be ingrown hair but I have not had a pimple nor any pain in that area.
  20. That is interesting. I'm surprised that did not cause you to have a pimple. What did he do to fix it?
  21. I will keep an open mind to all but from what I have read and seen in pictures this does not seem to be folliculitis. No pimple. No pain. Not red or pink. Just a tiny small whitish type scab that forms then goes away.
  22. Here is the my experience thread I wrote after my HT. Feel free to ask me anything. http://hair-restoration-info.c...961098883#3961098883
  23. I have not seen it bleed at all. I'm not overly concerned because as I said its pretty small. I just would like to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong. I think I will email my doctor on Monday.
  24. Bill, I usually do not pick it at all. It usually falls off on its own or via hair brushing but then comes back again. It has come and gone several times over the months. I do not feel any pimple there. There is no pain involved. I have no idea why it happens (it is about 1/3 the size of a pencil eraser) but I'm getting a little concerned.
