I assume you meant Dr. Alan Feller in NYC?

We do recommend many quality physicians in California. To see a list of those we recommend, click here. I recommend viewing each physician's recommendation profile and researching our forum to view patient posted results/experiences for each physician. I'd also recommend contacting those physicians you're most interested in to discuss consultations and pricing.

Understand that each physician has their own philosophy for providing state of the art hair transplant surgery. But each physician recommended on the Hair Transplant Network has proven to produce excellent results. Finding a physician whose philosophy and demeanor is compatible with yours takes some time and research. This is something you will have to explore and find out on your own.

If I had to do it all over again, I would have opted for two larger procedures by physicians experienced with doing megasessions like Dr. Hasson and Dr. True. However, when I first started my research, larger sessions weren't as common and I wanted the convenience of going to a local physician. I was happy with the results I received from my first surgeon too, but it woke me up to the reality that I needed much more to meet my goals.

As for cost, I've had over 9600 grafts and spent approximately $30,000. The good news is, most patients don't need (let alone have) that many grafts and the costs would be reduced if you're a candidate for larger hair transplant sessions. Moreover, I felt comfortable justifying the costs given that the average American spends approximately $30,000 on a new car every 5 years. I just kept my car for 10 years and spent no more than the average American. Besides, cars last only a decade or so while my new hair and restored confidence will last a lifetime :-)
