  3. I'm an african american male, who's 22 yrs old. i'm not sure, but i'm afraid I might be losing my hair. i just started growing my hair out again, and my hair is currently about 1 inch to a 1/2 inch long, or shorter. and what i'm concerned with is the fact that under light you can see my scalp, in the crown area, and alittle towards the back. the hair on the top of my head has always been straighter and less curly then the hair on the sides and back, so maybe that has something to do with it, i'm just unsure. when i look at the top of my head with a mirror it's noticeably more 'see through' than the hair on my sides and back, and it gets slightly more shallow towards the front. but again, it could be because the top hair sticks up straighter, and my hair is still very short. or, perhaps the top is just not as dense as my other areas. it's something that I've never paid attention to before, until someone jokingly pointed out a month ago that it looked like i was losing hair. although, i was practically almost shaved bald at time time =/ btw, my mom says she doesn't think i have a problem, and trust me, she'd be honest. it looks pretty 'normal' when it's not directly under light, but i'm just a bit worried.
