Attached is an immediate post-op photo showing graft placement. There is a significant difference in the before and after photos. I have no control over how this patient styles his hair & thought the pictures were worth sharing. As I stated this patient from California sent post-op photos which were taken with his hair wet and combed back. (Being wet & combed back shows more of his hairline than if it was combed down and dry). Thank you for looking at the post. Dr. Keller

This 30 year old patient had concerns with his mid-scalp and frontal hairline. The majority of the 3,400 grafts were placed in the mid-scalp and anterior scalp. His crown was improved. Post-op photos are from this out of state patient who was unable to return for a follow-up appointment. He is approximately one year post-op. In his photos his hair is wet, combed back and shorter. The patient is pleased with his results.

hairthere, Thank you for the positive comment. Rootz, I know I am not a good photographer, but there is no intention of deceit in posting these photos. Nothing is styled to obscure anything. The 1st pre-op & post-op photos show the patient's hairline as he walked into my office. The final results are flattering to the patient because his hairline is much improved. I will post updated photos when the patient returns for a follow up visit. Regards, Dr. Keller

Spanker, Thank you for such a positive comment. I really did help this guy out. This patient had his previous surgeries from other local surgeons. I designed his hairline behind his previous hairline as shown. This patient's hairline, even though done by others, is still respectful of Da Vinci's "rule of thirds". The guidelines for plug repair have been achieved. Plug repair requires a mixture of graft density and textures as far as temporal parietal-angles go. I have attached this patient's drawing along with another example demonstrating the value of temporal-parietal angles, ( as you referred to as blunt corners). Richard S. Keller M.D., FISHRS

50 year old who had hairline repair and hair restoration to add density to mid-scalp region. The patient had multiple plug procedures and hair transplant procedures in the past. 2,850 grafts were utilized to obtain results. Photos shown are pre-op and one year post-op. The patient is pleased with his results and now enhances his hair color. Comments are encouraged.

33 year old with class 4 hair loss pattern, 2,885 graft restoration, who sought a consultation because he was concerned that he would not be able to hide his frontal hair loss in 1 year. The patient had significant frontal thinning and has average donor laxity. Post-op visit was at 13 months. The patient is very pleased with his results and has agreed to stop cutting his own hair.

Thank you everyone for your positive comments. Garethbale- This patient does have ample donor hair for future procedures and has been stabilized on medication. I recommend that my patients take Propecia, and use Rogaine x2 daily and Nizoral shampoo weekly if medically appropriate. Regards, Dr. Keller

Since21 and Patriot34, Thank you for your positive comments. This patient had good donor density and thick and wavy hair, which made him a great hair restoration candidate. I am not a photographer and all my photos are taken on an automatic setting. As far as the patient dyeing his hair I am not sure if he does. Regards, Dr. Keller
