26 year old patient with class four hair loss who wished to have a conservative hair restoration procedure because of his family history of class 6 hair loss and the possible need in the need in the future of another procedure. The patient has presently stabilized his hair loss with medication. 2,914 follicular units were utilized. The photos shown are pre-op and 9 months post-op. Comments are welcome, Dr. Keller

33 year old who experienced a dramatic transformation 7 1/2 months post-op. The patient has a class 4 hair loss pattern with a central tuft. This gentleman was very concerned about his future hair thinning and we planned accordingly. Pre-op and 7 1/2 months post-op photos are shown with 3,485 follicular units utilized in the frontal 1/3 of the scalp and along the "alleys" in the restoration process. Regards, Dr. Keller

29 year old who had hair restoration in the crown and frontal scalp. The patient requested a conservative restoration procedure due to his strong family history of a class 6 hair loss pattern. The patient was previously placed on 1 year of optimal medical management. 2,725 follicular units were utilized. A class 5 V hair loss patient is concerned about his large crown and lack of hair in the frontal 1/3 of his scalp. The patient's future hair loss was discussed as was the strategic placement of approximately 1/3 of his donor hair along with the pros and cons of medical therapy. 60 year old who is a very dynamic individual and wanted his image to reflect his personality. 3,256 follicular units were utilized to restore his hair loss in the regions of the frontal half of his scalp. Thank you sutureless, Mick50 & 911fan for your positive comments. Patients with thin, fine hair are more difficult to achieve the appearance of having density and cosmetic fullness of their hairline. Carefully staggering and angling the follicular units in their frontal framework is paramount in their appearance. When a patient has a strong family history of hair loss it is important to consider their future options and have a plan. The advantage that this patient has is less contrast between his natural hair color and the hue of his skin. Hair restoration procedures can never equal the follicular units lost, so evaluation of every patient's individual qualities are important so that their appearance looks natural. 40 year old patient who wished to have a limited/conservative FU hair restoration due to his family history of hair loss and his future hair loss progression. This patient wanted to improve his frontal hairline profile and thicken his crown. His objectives were obtained even though he has very fine, thin hair. A 2,000 FU graft restoration was performed. An extra 125 follicular units were obtained and given to the patient. There is a strong family history of hair loss. Photos shown are pre-op and one year post -op. 50 year old with a 5V hair loss pattern who had progressive hair loss over the last decade. The hair loss has stabilized recently. Patient relayed a similar family history pattern. 3 months prior to surgery the patient decided in a consultation that he wanted to have a restoration procedure that improved his frontal hairline, mid-scalp, and improvement to crown. The patient's objectives were in line with his donor hair quality. 3812 follicular units were utilized. The photos shown are pre-op, hairs in place,3 months post-op. and donor scar. 35 year old patient who previously had a "shield type" hair restoration procedure with continual hair loss. 2,807 follicular units were available for a second FUT procedure to optimize concentrated areas of restoration. The patient's frontal framework, reinforcement of the sides ('lateral humps and alleys") and crown improvement were completed with the grafts available. Photos shown are pre-op, 6 month post-op and grafts in place. The patient is very pleased with his 6 month procedure, which is allowing him to wear a different hair style. 42 year old patient who requested a restoration procedure to correct Temporal Alopecia and to restore his appearance of his hairline while augmenting his crown. Photos shown are pre-op, post-op and 10 day & 6 month's placement in Temporal Alopecia correction regions. 2,811 follicular units were utilized. First procedure in planned 2 part restoration for this lucky 33 y/o class 6 hair loss patient with a fabulous donor area. The photos shown are 5 months post-op and pre- op. 3,788 follicular units were utilized for frontal restoration. The second planned procedure will concentrate on a cosmetic crown and the posterior scalp. 27 year old man who returns to the office for his follow-up appointment at 14 months post-op. 3,504 follicular units were used in his restoration procedure. Patient has excellent hair quality and wishes to be proactive with his appearance given his family history of hair loss. The photos shown are pre-op, immediate post-op and 14 months post-op. My objective was to enhance his frontal framework, build up his lateral humps, ("alleys"), and improve the crown. 51 year old patient who just returned for his 6 month follow-up appointment. The patient had both frontal and crown restoration with 3,651 follicular units.
