  1. Maybe this guy had a hair transplant in the font half. It's hard to se with this video.
  2. In addition to what I said about using beard and chest hair, you also need to make sure the Dr you are considering has good experience with using body hair grafts. Not all hair transplant Drs will use body hair grafts. It's harder to extract and usually takes a little bit longer. Now you may not need to use any of it all. It really depends on how good or bad your scalp donor is and what your goals are as far as coverage.
  3. Beard hair works best with chest hair being next best, however I wouldn't use chest hair unless your scalp donor wasn't good enough to get decent coverage and you needed a significant amount of body hair and didn't have that great of a beard that would yield enough grafts. For arm, leg, and back hair I wouldn't even consider using that in your case. I wouldn't touch that unless scalp, beard, and chest were already used up, so basically it would only be a very few extreme cases.
  4. Shedding hair after a hair transplant is normal and it does generally start to happen a couple of weeks after the transplant. This is the process for stress induced hair loss even if it weren't a hair transplant. If you get very sick you could experience hair loss. It will happen a few weeks afterwards. This happens with some women after pregnancy also. A couple of weeks afterwards they may experience some hair loss. So it doesn't only occur due to hair transplants.
  5. Hello @thedominator. Welcome to the forums. Thanks for posting your question. It looks like you definitely have some recession going on. You say it hasn't changed over the past 10 years, but the hairline looks rather high, so I'm wondering if it actually has been slowly moving over the years, but you just haven't noticed because it's a slow process I'd try to compare your current hair line with some older pictures of yourself to be sure. The rest of your hair seems to be doing pretty well with maybe some very slight thinning towards the crown, although it looks like that could be just your hair naturally parting and growing away from each other in that area. Hair is always constantly falling out and regrowing, so seeing some hair fallout is normal. I'd say if they are long, thick hairs that fall out then that's a good sign that they are probably not falling out prematurely.
  6. The pictures posted are at 5 and 1/2 months post op. Lets not make final decisions without seeing the final results. I'd like to see how this looks in another month or two before I say it looks bad. Right now I think it looks OK for less than 6 months. It also looks like the Dr tried to match the natural angles he previously had where the hairs sort of splits away from each other near the temples.
  7. You shouldn’t need to keep your hair tied up more than a day or two after the surgery.
  8. This looks great. Man I am so jealous! I wish this kind of hair transplant was around back when I was in my early 20's. I'm really happy for you.
  9. Years ago when I had my own part time small business my credit card fees were 9%. I know it's generally less now for anyone in the USA these days, but there is still a cost of accepting cards. It may still be closer to 9% in other countries, but I don't know.
  10. Some granola bars or cereal bars or other meal type snacks, so you have something to eat if you are in the hotel for a couple of days after the HT because you probably won't want to go out.
  11. They should be pointing at least slightly towards the temples since it's on the side of the hairline. Do the ones closer to the center point forward more? I'd wait a few more days until the scabs come off to get a better idea of how the angles are looking. Perhaps the scabs forming are pushing them a bit more in that direction than they actually will be once the scabs are gone.
  12. Not many Drs still do FUT. If you do find one who will do it, the scar may just stretch again and you'll be in the same situation you are now, except you'll be down about $2500 for the scar reduction. It may work great, but with FUE so popular even some Drs who do FUT would rather just add some FUE grafts into the scar if they feel you may be prone to scar stretching. Some people scar very easily. Did you ever try Dr Robert Dorin in Garden City NY? I think he is still doing FUT if requested. As for the $7000 price... FUE costs in the range of $8 to $10 in the NY area, so putting 700 to 800 grafts into your scar is going to cost that much. They aren't trying to charge you extra just because it's FUE into a scar.
  13. My hair was very oily when I was younger. I was told to try Nizoral and I ended up using it daily for several years as my only shampoo until my scalp gradually became less oily as I got a bit older. I don't think it's a problem to use daily if you have a very oily scalp. If it starts drying your hair and scalp out too much then cut down to using it two or three times per week.
  14. Hi @Rolo. Your last pictures posted here are at 4.5 months after the 2nd procedure, so I imagine it did fill in at least a little more than it shows here. If you have time it would be much appreciated if you can post updated pictures. I hope you are feeling a lot better about the entire situation these days.
  15. This picture reminded me of Arnold Schwarzenegger when he is on Mars in Total Recall 😀
  16. This doesn't look too bad for 5 months. A little thin still, but you have more time to grow. You had some very deep recession with just a thin strip of hair in the center to start with. You always need to look at and remember where you came from.
  17. Not only is is a bad hairline, but he has almost no growth behind the hairline at all.
  18. Be careful how many total grafts you put into the crown. You need to save a few thousand for the front if you ever need them. The first crown procedure turned out pretty well.
  19. If you let it grow out it probably won't be so noticeable. You also have some more time for it all to mature and thicken up and blend in better.
  20. It looks like Dr Saifi extracted a few of the grafts in the corners from the first transplant. This should turn out much better than the first one. Good luck.
  21. Hopefully that will be just enough to make a nice difference. At least you didn't have to shave your head and you won't have to go through the ugly duckling phase... as long as the front doesn't stay red for too long, but it shouldn't since they didn't do a large area.
