  1. I had a bunch of hair transplants- the results were less than stellar. It's why after 20 years of transplant work I said F' it and did SMP.
  2. I had mine done three years ago (it'll be four years next August) and it still looks great. the place i went to said that it usually lasts around six years and then you need a touch up. I'm probably going to go in sooner than six years. I don't want to take a chance on it fading. I have some nasty transplant scarring on the top of my head that has been covered up by SMP. So, I don't want to take any chances. Touch ups aren't than much. So, I can deal with having one every 4-6 years.
  3. I haven't had grafts put into my scar, but I have had SMP on the scar. It does look better, but it still drives me crazy and does make me insecure at times. I had my first HT back in 1998. The technology wasn't that good back then. So, the severity of the scar wasn't from rushing back to the gym too soon (I'm not that stupid). It was from the places that I went to. In 1998 just about every place I know of was still using the strip scar method, and since I am not a good healer the scar is still rather large. I'm surprised that no one has recommended anyone that is good at fixing this type of thing. If anyone can help me out I'd be very appreciative.
  4. My brothers girlfriend had SMP on her eyebrows. Now, I've had SMP done on my head. So, I figured I'd have a keen eye to spot it, but couldn't tell she had it done. My brother told me about three years after he was dating her. I don't know where she had it done so I can't help you there, but I'd recommend that before I'd recommend having surgery.
  5. Hi, I am new here so if this is not the proper place for this topic please let me know. I am looking for help with my strip scar. I have a large scar that runs from ear to ear. I have already had SMP and it is one of the best things that I have ever done. It has honestly changed my life. However, I am still bothered by my strip scar. My friends and family tell me that it isn't noticeable especially since my SMP. However, I notice it because it's my head. I am wondering if there are any procedures that can be done to eliminate the scar altogether or at least to make it thinner. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. And if anyone knows of anyone in the New York area who could help me that would be even better. Thanks ahead of time.
  6. I went to Scalpmicro USA. It was the best money that I ever spent. If you want you can PM and I'll show you some pictures.
  7. Hi, I am new here and this is my first post. I have fair skin and light blonde hair. I had SMP doe at Scalpmicro USA in NYC. My head looks amazing. I've had relatives, friends, and colleagues ask me why I don't grown my hair out. So, yes it is possible to get great results while having light skin and hair. If you PM me I will be glad to send you a picture or two.
