  1. There has been some interesting discussions regarding HT detectability on other forums lately. Thought I'd get your opinions on this: (Only for those who have had HT) When looking at the photos presented by doctors, most HT's look exactly like real hair. Those that have met HT patients and inspected the results up close usually say that the photos lie. And even if the good HT's are great they do look fake on close inspection. Have any of you HT patients here noticed this? Have people asked you if you have a HT? What if your girlfriend would pull her hand through your hairline. Would she notice?

  3. Agree with Bill. Lots of bad feedback a few years back. Not one single of their FUE results good. Lots of talk and agressive marketing, very little to show for.
  4. Skull expansion? -HAHAHAHAHAHA "Think hard before opting for minoxidil (Rogaine), finasteride (Propecia and Proscar) and dutasteride (Avodart). Natural pills, lotions and shampoos are another option you can look into. You can learn about all these products here - " This is possibly the worst advice I've seen on this site. Ever. WTF is wrong with you?
  5. i would not under any circumstances go with Dr Barry White. He is a very very shady doc and i have only seen sub-par results from him. Do a search for "parable" and you'll see a patient he totally butchered a few years back. The other two have good reps though. Dr Wookds would be the best in Aus I believe but he is expensive.
  6. Great. Pics? How did you hide it from your wife?
  7. "If you find none of the presented results acceptable then it most likely says more about you then about the cases presented." -I am not so sure. They are all VERY sparse and none of them look natural. Perhaps this is the nature of FUE but I really doubt that considering I have seen great results from Woods and Feller. Furthermore, the ones that look that they may be worse than the others are either blurry or darker than the before image or have been shot with a flash. I simply dont feel confident in his abilities. The only DR outside of North America I have seen doing decent results are Dr Woods.
  8. bverotti: You mentioned "Consultant Ilterclinic in Sweden, Dr. Ilter" as an example of a good FUE doc. I have actually checked him out as a possible doc but changed my mind quickly when I realised that he does not have one single decent result on his website. (And considering those are amongst his best that is sad indeed) "FUE will ALWAYS produce faster or equally fast final results then strip surgery on the average person." Always and Average seem like te wrong combination of words to use in the same sentece.
  9. "( all thinks consistent, a smaller head has less to cover) " This is true, but on the other hand would it not mean that your donor area should be proportionatly bigger as well, giving you more donor hair?
  10. Dr Knudsen double bay, dr Marla Martinick. (May have spelt their names wrong) Both have decent reputations and I think they only do strip. The US doctors are probablt better tho, Armani Hasson & Wong etc. Dr Woods, the inventor of FUE is in Sydney as well.
  11. The lazer comb does not grow hair. It is a cheap fraud.
  12. "Ok Can we just end this post now.. This seems to begoing nowhere" - No never. I will never stop spreading the truth about this fraudalent company, AHS. There are quite a few of us planning on setting up a website. So the first thing a propsective lazer victim sees when researching AHS on the internet is the truth. Hopefully this will eventually put these a** holes out of business.
  13. Dr Bauman. This is really quite sad. Everyone knows lazer therapy is a hoax. There is no evidence supporting the claims that lazer regrows hair. And the only tests ever made were made in conjunction with minoxidil. It was only proved that the lazer - minoxidil combination regrew hair. For something not to work with minoixidil it has to be direcly harmful to your scalp. And that is why lazer was approved by the FDA. I can smear pigeon feaces on my head and use minoxidil as well and the results would be the same. Bottled pigeon faces would also pass FDA, given it is not somehow dangerous. Lazer does not work. You are just shining light on your scalp. May as well use a torch, it is definately cheaper. And then you can spend the money you saved on bottled pigeon shit.
  14. It seems as if the truth may be starting to come out. http://today.reuters.co.uk/news/articlenews.aspx?type=t...TRUKOC_0_UK-HAIR.xml This is a link to an article relating to an ad that AHS had banned last week by a regulating body. Apparently they claimed Lazer cures baldness which is a lie so the ad got banned. These criminals should be dragged out into the streets and beaten repeatedly with blunt objects.
  15. I am sure that the Lazer comb has no benefits in terms of growing hair. It could be a placebo (if thats posible in terms of hairgrowth) or simply a coincidence. Harvey: Did you start using any other meds at the same time? There is no scientific evidence or even simple logic that supports the claim that Lazer grows har. You are basically just beaming your head with light. Just use a lamp isntead - its cheaper. The claims made by manufacturers of the lazer comb and conmen like Advanced Hair Studios for example, are completely false and medically impossible. Save yourself the $$.
  16. I'm a film/video maker. I've made docos before. I'd love to make on AHS. If that was posted online and youtube etc they would loose their business. And all I'd have to do is tell the truth which they cant fight with facts. Its very tempting.
  17. Yes there certainly was a lot of negative feelings towards DHI. They had their run of good publicity on the forums just after they did those FUE megasessions. That quickly turned sour when the hair did not grow and the patients were dissatisfied to say the least. Was there ever a follow up on that Greek gentleman who got some 7000 FUE? I also remember their marketing techniques leaves a lot to be desired. Who can forget "The magic wand"?
  18. http://www.smh.com.au/news/science/hair-regrown-in-bald...7/1178995264643.html Sounds very good. In a respectable Australian paper today.

  20. "Dr A Feller: Advanced Hair Studio wish to challenge the misinformation being posted by your organization. The use of Laser Therapy in the treatment of hair loss has as you know been fully endorsed by the FDA." -You cant be serious. FDA has certainly not "endorsed" lazer therapy, FDA has only said that it wont physically hurt the patients. And as someone pointed out earlier, lazer wont hurt you unless someone hits you in the head with it. "We do not understand why you also choose to ignore the important additional steps that AHS take when offering Laser Therapy to its clients. Laser Therapy is only one of three important steps in the treatment of hair loss." -Nobody has ignored the additional steps. Everyone knows that minoxidil works. And remember everyone here is more or less an "expert" on hair loss and we all know that lazer does not grow hair and so do you. If I start offering a service where I charge clients $6000 for the "Guapo Therapy" and pour Coca Cola on my clients heads and chant Hindu prayers I can claim that it works as well cause I also apply Minoxidil. The FDA will certainly approve this therapy as Coca Cola and Hindu chants are not physically dangerous although slightly annoying perhaps. Actually I might just do this, it as been said that the carbonated liquid rinses the scalp from testosteron and adds nutrients to the hair, causing it to grow. (If you also add minoxidil...) "The additional steps offered include the measured dispensing of a range of Serenoa serrulata products which offer similar benefits to Finasteride Finasteride...Proscar/Propecia without the side effects attributed to that drug." -That is a blatant lie. There is no such evidence. This is not a forum for the mentally challenged, we're not that stupid. "Before you chose to knock our organization we suggest that out of professional courtesy that you recognize our business as an alternative option in assisting customers tackle the issue of hair loss without immediately undertaking surgery." -Why should anyone recognise you? You do not deserve to be recognised more than as a bunch of liars and criminals. In fact, the way I see it you still owe me and several other members on this forum considerable ammounts of money.
  21. Ha. -Something tells me we've heard the last from the rug sales man, MR1.
  22. "I will forward these questions onto the head office in London and ask for a reply" Thats a runaround if I ever saw one. It is obvious that lazer does not promote hairgrowth. If it work did and MD1 believed in the explanation he would give it to us. Its not like he does'nt know what lies they tell the customers - he is the client relations manager after all. I can tell you guys exactly what they told me when I realized that nothing grew and I asked them how it was supposed to work. Here is what the consultant said: "The minoxidil is appllied to your scalp to soften it up. Then we apply the lazer which is designed to break through the build-up of DHT on your scalp and break it apart. The removal of the build-up will enable the hairs to grow back again" I think I shall not need to comment on hte stupidity of that explanation.
  23. " Apparently the nearest thing to a cure for MPB ever developed/discovered and now its sitting on a shelf in a lab in Franc" -You'd be amazed. Its not only in this industry. I once saw a piece of software that is infinately more powerful than Photoshop and that can do a lot more - on an old IBM 486 than you could dream of doing on the best computer available today. Adobe bought the software (makers of photoshop) and just buried it. Its sad but true.
  24. Its funny, I actually find the sexual side effects a partly positive thing. The way it effects me is that I am less interested in sex. This is good cause this makes me less desparate and I get laid a lot more. (Catch 22?)
  25. "'ve been taking Propecia for very near 2 months (about 2 days left on my 2 month supply) and I've been using the HairMax LaserComb for about 4 months." I can assure you that there is no way in hell that the so called LaserComb works at all. Its just a cheap fraud. Propecia on the other hand does work. I was one of the first people ever to use it, back in 1997 during the trials. The effect wears off after a number of years though. It can have a significant cosmetic result and it is likely to at least enable you to retain what you have.
