  1. I studied Trichology for 2 years through David Salinger in Australia. He is Supposed to be " The Trichologist. " With that said, unless you have a scalp condition that is not genetically related, don't waste your time with these potions.
  2. LOL! Thanks, I was pumped right after a workout. The hair is looking Fabo! Here are a couple new pics from last weekend.
  3. Personally, I would not advise it. The grafts will be secured by then but wigs make your head hot and sweaty....it's best to keep everything nice, clean and airy. I do understand your concern and possible embarrassment but that is short term and getting the best long term result is far more fulfilling. Best of luck.
  4. James Brian, Seriously, what are you doing? I am confused. If you are not selling a product what are you doing? Why are you here? Do you want to help people? If so, you need to know what you are talking about and it is apparent that you don't. Say no to drugs!
  5. Dude, is this a joke? If not, you seriously don't know %$#* about hair loss! You definitely have no clue how much real world, first hand experience and knowledge the forum members have. I actually can't believe the canned sales pitch you started out with either. I think I saw this pitch in a book entitled " THE FINE ART OF MODERN DAY SNAKE OIL SALES. " Please find something you know more about and focus on that.
  6. Willie, Try to find a NATURAL shampoo that is free of harsh chemicals such as sodium laurel sulphate, which is in almost every shampoo as well as anti-freeze.
  7. DMG: I think the liquid works best because the absorption rate is higher. Gels are typically made because there is a higher content of medication that can't easily be dissolved into a liquid form. Personally I would not go above 5% minoxidil but you should talk to your doctor about that. Using propecia and minoxidil together is a fairly standard and safe protocol.
  8. Hi, My name is Tha Joe and I too am a Hairaholic! It's been about 5 months since I had my last procedure. It's difficult for me to deal with day to day since I work in Dr. Charles' clinic. The chair taunts me! My goal is to be completely scalpel free for one year but the Greed is getting to me. I might need support.
  9. Balding Asian: You might want to try a custom compounded form of minoxidil without propylene glycol. Propylene Glycol is the delivery system for the medication but it is also a skin irritant. It can be replaced with Natural Glycerin. Ask your local compounding Pharmacist if they can make some for you. The only downside is that the Glycerin is oily on the skin. As far as the hairline, that is a tough one. I am sure if there is something that works one of the guys here will be able to help you.
  10. We are always more critical on ourselves. Others don't usually notice the things we do except if they are drastic changes that occur overnight or if they have not seen us in a while.
  11. Young Gun: Bill is right on! Do your research and definitely take precautions to keep the hair you have.
  12. I know of a GREAT surgeon who performs transplants IN A VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Guys, We could debate this laser thing forever but why waste time. There is data supporting both sides. We are not scientists or researchers. Let's get back to things we know that work like "um" Transplants. Elvis has left the building.

  17. slaphead, I forgot to mention, I grew up in KY and I have had alot of experience with cow manure as well....it won't grow hair, tried it and it taste funny. There were some test done by the National Manure Association for hair growth back in the late 70's and they were inconclusive. It was thought that the neuro-n-syncomatric pathway was blocked by fibula causing a blood supply shortage to the left earlobe which in turn threw off the balance of the urethra making it difficult to throw a curve ball. We all know this causes massive hair loss in 80% of 15% of right handed north American cattle farmers. In short the manure did not work. Again I am no scientist but I think the Flux Capacitor could have benefits if used in a 1985 IROC-Z with T-Tops. Now Seriously! The ONLY way proven to get hair back permanently is TRANSPLANTS. I know this and i am not endorsing lasers for growth but I do feel they help with post op healing. Again ,I am not a scientist or Doctor. Sorry if I have made any of you guys think otherwise. Like everyone else on here I have just been voicing my opinion as to what I know and have seen. I think all you guys are very knowledgeable and I absolutely admire how you all spend so much time on here helping people.
  18. Do you guys really read what is written? Did I once say I thought it grew hair? Please go read every post I have done on this subject and don't ask me one more thing about it...I have more important things to do. Peace out and Word up!
  19. He can beat me at basketball most of the time as well. Thanks for your insight bro. I am out for tonight.
  20. I know all about the FDA approval for laser devices in General. Known about it for years. Hairmax is a few miles from our clinic. I see the owners regularly. They have a different approval for growth, unless they are lying to my face. I have never once said anything about growing hair but I have said it has it's benefits. We use Lasers for post op healing and we don't charge for it. I am not wasting anymore time on this subject but I will be happy to share REAL results from Dr. Charles Transplants. He is truly an amazing surgeon! I WORK FOR DR. GLENN M. CHARLES. He signs my paychecks.
  21. Pat, Yes, I do work for Dr. Charles and I will add that to my post. I think you totally misunderstood my comments. I could care less if anyone ever says anything about lasers again, I don't make money for promoting them but I will definitely continue to use them myself. Like I said in my last post, I don't believe in the way people market laser therapy. I am also definitely not supporting anything MHR. Remember I am not new to the hair industry, I have seen it all.
  22. Bill, I do believe in Laser Therapy. I probably have had more interaction with them than anyone here. I will try to get you some studies from the original Swedish Manufacturer of Laser Hair Care. MHR did a fairly large study this past year as well. That study might be hard to get since Bosley bought them out but I will try. I am not a scientist so I will not go into all the scientific reasoning for laser therapy to grow hair but I use it weekly and it does have benefits. I am not saying it is the magic bullet, but it does help. I definitely DO NOT agree with the way some people market it.
