  1. i'm 32 and used propecia for 7 years with great success until it seemed it was losing its effectiveness. i then switched to avodart for the last 4 months and have noticed the typical sexual side effects; decreased sex drive, impotence, etc. has anyone else had these problems. is it too strong? i'm starting to think i should go back to propectia. help..... is proscar the same thing as propecia, but just offered in a stronger dosage (1.25 to 1)? would you recommend more time with avodart, switch back to propecia, or try proscar? i need yall's advice, thanks!

  6. surely this does not work and it is a snake oil??? go to this website...http://www.regenix.com/....and look in the bottom left corner and click on the tv interview. he is on david letterman saying this is what he used. if you've seen before and after pictures of him, he has to have had a transplant. i just wish i knew which doctor. what do you all think?

  8. i know 1% is over the counter, but is 2%? what's the difference? been using 1% for 7 months and haven't noticed anything. is it worth trying 2%? i've heard about regenix or regenerx (something like that). anyone tried this and had any success? i've tried revivogen and tricomin shampoos and they haven't worked at all. anyone got any good ideas? is nioxin really worth it?
  9. was on propecia for 7 years and it worked well, but a few months ago it appeared it was starting to lose its effectiveness. therefore, i started on avodart two months ago but have had significant shedding especially at the hairline. so i ask you what should i do? do i ride out avodart or do i get back on propecia? anyone know if one works better on the front hairline better than the other? i'm thinking there must be something to propecia being FDA approved and avodart not being. let me know your thoughts. thanks!
  10. i have switched from propecia to avodart after 7 years. felt like the propecia was losing its effectiveness. what have others success/failure been? someone tell me how have they possible benefitted from avodart instead of propecia. does propecia lose its effectiveness? also, have been hearing about this scalp massaging. someone tell me what this is and how do i do it? just bought a lasercomb hoping can be effective. current regime of 1 pill of avodart (.5), rogaine foam twice a day, nizoral shampoo once every 3 days with tricomin and revivogen shampoos in between nizoral. is this a good regime?

  12. www.hairmax.com apparently it is now FDA approved. does anyone know anything about it or tried it? i believe it's like $600 so pretty expensive. wanted to know something about before purchase. also, i have gotten off propecia after 7 years and tried avodart. it's cheaper b/c of insurance and i've heard it's a stronger DHT blocker. any suggetions? this the right thing to do? felt like propecia was losing effectiveness. what about tricomin spray? does this stuff work? i've tried shampoo's like revivogen, tricomin, and nizoral 1%. are these 3 worth it used in rotation? i know nizoral is well thought of, but what about the others? any difference between nizoral 1% and 2%? i appreciate your feedback.
  13. i'm 31 and started to lose some of my frontal hair line when i was 22. i got on propecia within 2 years (started september 1999) and it has done great. however, within the last month i have started to notice thinning again (in the front and on top of the head) for the first time since i got on propecia. so i have a few questions that i would greatly appreciate your help with. thanks in advance. 1) does propecia lose its effectiveness after a certain period? in my case, it would be 7 years (sept. '99 to october '06) 2) i have a prescription for avodart from my family physician. should i try it? i know it's not FDA approved and it stays in your system longer, but i think it's worth a shot. any serious side effects? is it safe to try? would insurance cover avodart? 3) i've started taking nizoral 1% shampoo once every 3 days. i understand the 2% is by prescription only. is it that much of a difference in the 2% to get it? 4) what other shampoo's should i use? is nioxin good and over the counter? 5) what are copper peptides and do they really work? 6) what could be the reasons i've all of a sudden started losing hair after being so successful with propecia for 7 years? there has been no change in my diet, no extra stress. could i have a decrease in testosterone levels that could help cause this hair loss? 7) my current regime is propecia once a day (most likely soon to be avodart), rogaine foam twice a day (just started), and nizoral 1% shampoo once every 3 days. what else should i be doing? seriously, what else works? am i doing the right things? what else should i be doing? thank you for any help/responses you can give me.
