  1. There can be some permanent loss in the donor area especially in the corners above the ears. Like Bill said, if it does happen it's usually related to tension issues. I have seen a few cases in the recent years but very minor compared to the old days.
  2. Hi everyone! Most of you know I have been working for Dr. Charles for a few years now so it's no surprise I would have good things to say about him. Well I can't say enough! I have recently moved on to pursue my dream of launching a beverage I developed with the help of Dr. Charles. I literally could not be doing this without his help..he has been the single biggest contributing factor to my success because he believed in me more than I believed in myself. During my time with Dr. Charles I learned many things...the most important thing I learned from him is to take pride in what you do and make EVERY effort to deliver the best possible product with no compromises! Dr. Charles lives by this and it shows in his work. He is truly one of the most talented and hardest working HT Surgeons in the country if not the world. If your unlucky enough to have to have a procedure your truly lucky to have Dr. Charles to choose from. I have had 2 procedures and plan for a 3rd with him soon. You can see my before and afters on here and on his site. I am VERY happy and am always here for a reference.
  3. LOL! I love the TOUGH LOVE Please Grow!
  4. You have a better chance of success if you do the procedure yourself in front of a mirror.
  5. Bro, I can't say this enough...STAIRMASTER!!!! do around 45 minutes a day on speed intervals...it will melt the fat off rapidly...I have been doing this training thing since I can remember and the stairmaster is far beyond anything else! I stay at 4% bodyfat all year round. Before I started using the SM my face stayed round and fat looking...also STOP using salt and really watch your sodium intake. Read the label on everything you eat! NO SALT!
  6. STAIR MASTER 45 minutes a day and eat clean...Very Simple!!!!!!
  7. I tried several concealers after my first procedure with major disappointment...The best by far was Pro-Thik spray. Once you learn how to spray it on correctly you will be amazed at the results.
  8. I am of course biased as to whom I work for but there are several great docs who can do this type of work with great results....my question is why are you set on FUE when the newer strip closure techniques are amazing!? I understand if you just need a few hundred grafts but if you need more you might want to consider strip.
  9. For sure....I will have Dr. Charles post some more photos this week....do a search on the forum and you should find several photos and blogs. Your absolutely right about Florida being good for a Holiday, that is if you like warm weather, sunshine and beautiful women
  10. FYI Dr. Charles does ALOT of repair work due to there being several transplant docs in our area that for some reason just seem not to care about the patients. I have seen him repair some scary stuff with amazing results...I'm not pushing him only as there are other docs that are great as well, just giving you some guidance on where to look.
  11. Hey Guys! I work with Dr. Charles and I saw JP this week and even I was blown away...no concealer, just super quality hair. I admit, he is an above average case for such minimal grafts. I agree we should post more results but we like to leave that up to the clients based on their happiness with the results.
  12. Insecure New Real Hair Club Member Posted March 02, 2008 03:49 PM Hide Post "I have seen and I am troubled by many people on the Internet going to Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Dermatologist, ER and other specialty doctors and also Physicians with DO degrees. My Best advice is to go to a US Board Certified Surgeon in whatever field that also has an MD degree. This HT Field is not well regulated as yet, so many Primary Care Physicians and DOs are trying to fulfill their desire to become a surgeon by doing these procedures and making lots of money with no formal training. Please ask the HT physician, after medical school, what specialty did they do their residency in, if it was not Surgery leave and find a Real Surgeon. 13. They pretend not to know who he is because I canceled our "subscription" to their site. There are only a few "real" sites out there that give honest answers and feedback and this one is the best.
  14. I know Dr. G from several years back. I am not saying anything to bash anyone but the facts are the facts.....He sells his services to a lot of non-surgical hair replacement centers all over the country. He flies in, does several cases and is out to the next. Follow up and patient care?
  15. Thanks Hairbank! I am 5'8". I basically changed everything I had been accustomed to doing. First, I switched to Organic and 80% raw foods. This takes some getting used to but is great for the body. The only meats I eat are egg whites and some fish. I am eating a balanced portion every 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Muscle is made of protein so you definitely have to get atleast 1 gram per pound of bodyweight and make sure your eating is timed perfectly! Timing is the essential! I know you have heard how important diet is in training and it IS! I can hardly believe the change I have gone through. Every little thing you consume has an effect..everything! As far as training...I hit the weights around 6:30 A.M. and cardio around 5 P.M. I stopped trying all the heavy stuff and started doing more reps. I start with a warm up and then do one set of 15, 12, 10, 8....I do this for every muscle group. Twice a month or so I do switch it and go heavy, low reps just to shock the muscles. E-mail me at joedcowan@yahoo.com and I will send you a sample diet. See if it works for you. I am friends with several IFBB Pro Bodybuilders and they have helped guide me along. I would still love to be this lean at 190 but my genetics wont allow it naturally.
  16. I am happy to see that others on the forum are freaks about working out as well. I have been trying to get the science of working out, diet and resting down for years and have finally gotten closer than ever. Here are a couple pics taken last month during a photo shoot for my supplement line. I was clowning with the photos so don't take me seriously with my expressions, lol, I look pretty fruity in one. I went from 185 to 165 in about 2 months and have never felt better.
  17. Mesotherapy is not a new procedure and the results are iffy. The best thing to for getting rid of that double chin ( I had the same problem ) is proper diet and lots of cardio. I went from 12% body fat to 4 1/2% in two months. It was not easy or fun but so worth it.
  18. absolutely! I have alot of experience with low level laser therapy and have seen first hand how it can help speed the healing process. No negative side effects Before anyone jumps on me about my views on lasers, I am not pushing or selling them, these are just my personal experiences. Dr. Charles can answer any technical questions about how they work and if they work. Thanks
  19. I just started using prothik on my crown area...I have not had any work done there yet so it is a little thin...Prothik works Great! It does take a little practice to spray it on just right but when you master that the results are great!
