  1. Thank you Blake. This is a big 1st step to finally go for a 2nd precedure, but its been a long time coming.
  2. Very excited, after plenty of research,I took my next step this morning and set up a live in person consultation with Dr.Arocha in Houston for next week.Very excited to get started!!I am looking to improve my frontal/mid or possibly go for the crown/mid,region from my previous HT in 2007, while continueing the fin medication. Thanks for viewing Scooter
  3. great advice,I will continue my search out of state as well.Getting anxious to get started. Scooter
  4. Thanks Spanker, this is exactly why I am wanting some advice. 1st of all, I am happy with my 1st HT.I knew it was going to be thin in appearance but managed to do well with concealers,Dermatch and Toppiks and I work for neither I read I need to state that somewhere, but thank heaven for those products.I got off the meds for almost 6 months not knowing how quickly things start to get thin again. So I ordered more but got delayed with the shipment.Just recieved them yesterday and will probably never stop again. So maybe the propecia will help me out and I can start with the 3000 to 3500 for the frontal region, then finish up with the crown could be a plan, I hope I should still have enough donor hair to complete the crown.
  5. Ok, thank you Blake. But I've sent in a few of those online consuls including a few pics, still havent recieved a reply in 3 weeks.Maybe I'm doing it wrong.
  6. Thanks for the reply.Sounds Iike you had a good plan.I am thinking 2500 to help fill in the frontal and the next 2500 go for crown and middle area, if I have and need that much..
  7. Sorry about the pic quality, these are the best I can do for now. I'm asking for advice on a future precedure not the one I had 6 years ago so I wont have any post op pic just yet.Just trying to get a general idea and advice for my plan to add 2500 grafts to start with for my next surgery. thanks
  8. hello hello,is there anybody out there .... lol, maybe I need to jazz up the toppic with some better catchy words and or phrases to get a response..hee hee.I thought I used the magic word "please" :-)
  9. You cant go wrong with Dermatch. In my opinion its the best out there. It stays in until you wash it out with shampoo, you can even swim in the ocean pool, etc.Amazing stuff
  10. Hello everyone,I'm a returning here and this is my 1st post in well over 6 years.I have begun searching for advice and a surgeon here in Texas 1st.I have seen and read about Dr.Arocha and really like what I see.I was hoping to get some advice here as I plan for a second surgery.I am 43 years old.I was using propecia and was wanting to get a feel of how many grafts I may need in 1 or possibly 2 more surgeries. Was thinking about 2500 to start and maybe another 2500 in a future 3rd precedure. The 1st picture was pre 1st surgery, less than 2000 FU's .The last 2 are recent as I am planning my next precedure.I was told that I have enough donor for a few more precedures. What do you all think? Thank you Scooter
  11. Thank you , I was thinking around the same. From the pictures Ive seen,I like Dr Arocha's work, very clean.
  12. Not even sure if these will upload .I hope these pics come out. 13. Very nice work.I am also considering Dr. Arocha for my 2nd FUT surgery .I am wondering if they require you to shave the recipient area of can he just add to my already existing hair?Ooops, sorry ,I just read where Kira said Dr.Arocha didnt shave his recipient area.I should read the whole post.
  14. Hello Edge,I was just reading this topic and thought I'd chime in real quick.I highly recommend Dermatch. Not only for the recipient area, but for the donor area as well.I was told I could use it as early as 10 days after surgery,I did with no probs. As long as you can get as close to your natural color as possible, this should help you out huge as it did for me.Just try not to apply too much.If you do,just rinse with water and press a towel on it,as this will remove the excess Dermatch.Since you have to return to work so soon, you should get it,and practice. After I apply it,I comb it through, then blowdry. To help with the chalky look,I add some stuff called SoSilk, silk drops to help make is shine back up,This might be good for you instead of gell since you just had your surgery,I would hold off on the Nioxin gell, recommended because it is nonalcohol.
  15. Snake, Actually that isnt me,but a patient named Dean and this story was one of the reasons why I chose my Dr.back in May.I am glad you were inspired like I was by this excellent work.Anyways,I know you will choose the right Dr. and plan for you and you will be thrilled.Good luck in your upcoming procedure and pls keep us posted. Scooter
  16. Hello Snakeoil, I was just reading your post and thought I would chime in.The following is a link to a patient from the same Dr.I chose for my HT,though this patient had repair work done.I think the results look great.Even though Dr.McClellan is not a coalition member here,I was impressed enough to go with him and am very happy with the surgery and my results after only 6 months. 17. Hey Diffus_Case, I just apply Dermatch after towel drying my hair after a shower.Dont try to paint the scalp or you'll get a chalky look.Just use it on your existing hair.A member here recommended using a fine toothbrush to apply it,and it works awesome for me.Dermatch will thicken up those thin hairs. It doesnt take much. The next thing I do is blow dry it and brush it in to blend.I look to see if I got enough on,if not I will just put a little more on using my fingertip.Comb again.Add a few sprinkles of topiks.Comb it through.ONCE I AM SATISFIED with the coverage,I add some Nioxin gel to give it a shiny finish. It really only takes me less than 10 minutes. You can do this every day,or like me,I do it every other day.I leave it in overnight. It is also waterproof for the most part it wont come out until you shampoo it out. It is going on 5 months since my 1st HT and it seems that each time I wash out my hair, the less consealers I need next time.It is amazing.
  18. As a former member I would offer this advice. If you can wait for a Ht,and if you have the donor hair, the $ will be better spent on something more permanent. 1st off,I wore their "system"for nine years, had the headaches of the daily maintenance, hour plus appointment time, and insecurities when people would look at my hair. I never knew I was a candidate for a transplant until one of the stylist suggested it.They told me they have a Dr.who has done amazing Ht's and I can talk to him and also see some of his patients results.I was amazed so I chose to get my 1st HT in June of this year.Almost 6 months later,I couldnt be HAPPIER I chose this route,I am both pleased with getting rid of the system and my surgery with Dr.McClellan.Growth so far has been MUCH more then I thought. Though he doesnt have much of a reputation on here yet,I think because his patience dont know of this wonderful and VERY informative forum HTN. Just my opinion,if I had to do it all over again,I would just opt for a HT for the same $ spent. Also as Bp1 said about their EXT bullsh@t program ,they tried hard to get me to join it.I knew I wouldnt need it.It was so overpriced and we were right. Hope this helps Scott
  19. Hey Glock, Awesome results.I like your idea of adding a video. As a former system wearer, you are an inspiration to me since I to threw mine away a few months back.Even though I had so much less FU's than you,I am still feeling pretty happy with my growth so far. Good luck to you, enjoy your new look, and as far as another HT,I dont think you need one but if you do,It sounds like your in excellent hands with Dr.True. Thanks for sharing your progress with us, Scott

  21. I have tried the sprays such as Fullmore, and though it looks pretty good,It rubs off easily in my hands.Dermatch and just some little sprinkles with topiks are the way to go.Dermatch for me is awesome.Once the Dermatch dries,it is there until you use soap/shampoo to remove it.I spray a little bit of gel to hold everything in place and to give it a shine. But as with most if not all consealers you need existing hair to get a natural looking appearance.
