  1. Give it more time..the redness should start to dissipate and should it continue to linger, there are steroid based creams that can potentially help.
  2. The hair follicles that have shed those tiny hair have moved into the dormant phase.
  3. IMHO, warm showers are beneficial for the scalp as well as the grafts 30 days or more post-op…the warm temps stimulate the blood flow.
  4. The absorption of ink into scar matter can be much different than flesh tissue and the composite of scars also varies during the healing process so IMHO, it’s very important to allow adequate time for the ink to enter a stable base.
  5. Back in the mid to late 90’s, there basically were no websites providing education on surgical hair restoration…instead, there were several large national hair mills such as Bosley, Medical Hair Restoration (MHR), etc. that were running very aggressive informercials, “In my personal and professional opinion,” SLY was referred to MHR where he met Dr. Matt Levitt.
  6. Keep in mind, some individuals have lots of systems, some are partial, and some are full covering the entire scalp…his donor is pretty much used up in the occipital zone.
  7. IMHO, Sly currently wears high end top quality hair systems…I have to state “it’s my opinion” otherwise I could potentially be sued…in my opinion I know the doctor who did his initial procedures better than 2 decades ago (micro and mini grafts) and again, “in my opinion”, the results were not any good.
  8. If you find FUE prices under $12 per graft in SoCal, it’s almost always attributed to the doctor/clinic utilizing inexperienced techs because those techs subcontract their services at much cheaper rates than experienced proven techs…they work on a self-employed itinerant basis and travel extensively…So, ask yourself, “Is it worth the risk of having higher transection rates from poor extractions and/or inexperienced techs placing your grafts?”
  9. Gary my friend…what Melvin stated is true…Honestly, I don’t know how any doctor/clinic could charge less than $12 per graft for “FUE” in the state of California, especially in SoCal like Los Angeles…the same could be said for NYC and especially Long Island because of the extreme high cost of operating expenses especially the business taxes. Can you find high quality FUE for less than $12 per graft?…yes, but you would need to travel to places outside of California.
  10. A high quality hair system is your best option based on your stated case.
  11. For most individuals the redness will fade as Gats stated, some folks may have lower collagen levels which can also contribute to longer lingering of the post-op redness…there are also steroid creams that can be effective when you are 6 months post-op or more.
  12. What was his reason for not doing an eyebrow restoration procedure?
  13. Any reputable experienced FUE surgeon can do this, a softer graft selection and the correct angulation of the grafts are the key factors.
  14. You just have to call their front office to find out and also consider getting on their standby list.
  15. Listen my friend, start with obtaining multiple opinions from reputable repair surgeons before making any decisions…it’s going to involve a number of methods and techniques to remove some of the badly mis-angled grafts and re-implantation…a huge factor to contend with is your wide contrast of hair and complexion color…this is why the imperfections appear to be more noticeable.
  16. Yes Omarca my friend, your overall result at the 12 month update is awesome and very happy for you. You do have an generalized thinning pattern throughout your scalp and based on the pics that you provided, it appears this diffused thinning has impeded your donor so am wondering if DrM has performed a thorough microscopic examination of your scalp and discussed the findings with you.
  17. No, Dr. Dorin is not burned out…individuals who make unfounded statements like that have other alternative motives usually involving money but if you think about it, it’s really a compliment because it implies how much he is in demand…his consistent results speak loudly of his talent and passion for producing excellence for every one of his patients.
  18. Gats, having said this before, I must say again…your matured result is remarkable to say the least…actually the word miraculous is a better fitting adjective that describes how awesome everything looks. And still, you may experience a higher degree of hair caliber development that will continue to contribute to a corresponding higher level of visual coverage. Since 1978 I have observed literally hundreds upon hundreds of repair cases yet yours is in a class by itself…trust me my good friend, the average person would never guess that you had numerous repair procedures. Most individuals would have moved on with their life having accomplished their dream YET you continue to sacrifice your time and life to help others who suffer from hairloss and those in need of repair. Although we are close friends, brothers indeed, I am telling you these things from the heart and hope we can one day meet in person…remember Gats, ultimately the rapture will one day soon take us to Paradise!🙋🏻‍♂️
  19. Do you have or do you feel any small or tiny lumps in your testicals at all?
  20. There will be more home tests kits becoming available in the near future.
