  1. Yes, medication and see how you tolerate it and if you get growth etc. You are in a delicate position of age and having already had a surgery that has not come good and your donor may also be compromised, so lot of challenges here and best to not rush to another surgery. 25 was very young and the clinic should not have offered it IMO when they see age and not on meds. As said above maybe low dose oral minoxidil will help you. All the best and keep us posted.
  2. I can't talk for all but I think many will not consider clinic X because let's be real, money is a limiting factor, so by default they cannot pay over a certain budget and by essence will be funnelled to options within their budget and then research among them. This is just logical, you won't factor in what is beyond your budget for hair or for buying a house or car etc. So probably a reason why a lot of higher Norwoods go to certain countries and great if they get good results. You are talking a lot of grafts and serious money so it is not a factor that can be ignored. This is why so many fly internationally also from the UK or USA for surgery as the costs are generally higher there and it is mentioned in posts.
  3. Hard to say without seeing photos, age, loss, meds, donor condition. Not only can they take a good 700 grafts, you want to avoid strong prominent temples that are on your face not scalp, if you then have loss behind in the scalp that is significant as this can be a challenge in looking natural also. They are hard to do, have acute angles and need very fine singles and no way to camouflage them if not done well as they are the first line.
  4. Most cases from any clinic will not post, more so with the advent of copy and paste to social media and re-mixing etc, they are less keen to. Also I think higher NW scales will need to budget and by default will orient to clinics that can offer a price per graft more in-line with their overall budget and will look at 2 Euros or so a graft, so that means most of Europe is not going to be an option but south America and India etc are more viable when we are talking 10k grafts or more, so I would expect more cases there as a general rule if not an exclusive one.
  5. Congrats and all the best for the rest of the growth period! You are still early so expect more. Thanks for sharing a Dr.Bicer case.
  6. Looking at this actual case and the photos then the question is answered, these are small with nice extraction pattern and also good to see a hair line is not harvested from the occipital only as many clinics seem to. He has also here patients who have had hair line punched out and healed well. If you shave short then more propensity to see scars and no surgery is scar free but even this case here shows the holes after surgery and no sign of large punches. Congrats to this patient for sharing his case and all the best for your growth! Patient's own photo below.
  7. Excellent outcome on what is also afro-type hair. Congrats.
  8. Is it only transplanted or also non-transplanted areas that are shedding also? It could be seasonal shedding or if any change of diet, meds, stress, physical trauma to the scalp with injections etc..Most shedding will come back.
  9. You would need at least 6k grafts for total coverage. Have they assessed your donor for density, miniaturisation, safe zones, any retrograde alopecia etc? If your budget is 3k then even at 1 Euro a graft you would only reach the frontal third, assuming it grows in and is good work and this is really the cheap end of the market so there are significant risks here. You may be better off doing nothing rather than pulling the trigger on a journey of this kind with these financial limitations. All the best in your decision.
  10. Congratulations...hope you will really enjoy this as it grows out...
  11. Self-dosing is usually a suck it and see basis but you need to be careful not to limit DHT to the level that it will give you issues. If doubts see your doctor or whoever prescribed them and ask about them in synergy. Try to block as little DHT as needed to benefit the hair and monitor for sides and how well you tolerate it and the pros from it. That said 0.3 if fairly weak as a topical and also calculating absorption etc so probably won't give systemic issue per se.
  12. It is prudent for clinics to take pre-op and immediately post-op of all donor and recipient also for any future reference and then you can clearly see the density they took and placed at. It does seem it was an occipital-only approach and 4k is a lot in that area, ( you can measure width x length and see what density would have been taken using 4k as the total), but I guess this is around 60cm2 of harvesting to take 4,000, assuming no transection also. The concern is a lot of the heavier grafts go that really should be kept for future loss and also that hairlines need finer hairs so I hope this comes in okay for you and as said by Berba it is fairly high so not sure what your age is or if you are on medication but this can drop in time. Shock loss can take 4 or 5 months and minox can help but it does look as if there is clear demarcation from where they took and the surrounding areas but often this is the signature tune of some clinics and why it is wise to research and see the modus-operandi that they have. Did you ever see spread extraction that is not only on the occipital from any previous patients? Certainly I think you should contact them with some concerns and they can explain their approach and why it is beneficial to take as they did. I would be interested to see the reasoning personally. As said shock can take 4 months or longer so hopefully more will come in and also some length will help camouflage it.
  13. Are you on any DHT blocker? If you do use chest then shave a week or so prior so you get the grafts in the Anagen phase...As said above it is not the initial go to source unless one is depleted etc. Remeber it is a lot of singles and finer hair also.
  14. If you have any shock then apply some minoxidil. For general growth get on FAST shampoo and MSM tablets. All the best.
