  1. I did do yes but you shouldn’t be in torture spraying the saline if anything it should be relieving
  2. Not sure how you found it @LikeAJungleas I haven’t asked a huge amount. I was concerned around my Donor for the first month and Doga was really supportive with that . I did worry that if it continued I’d have to go see my own local doctor which wouldn’t have been ideal but I suppose that’s a risk with going to any clinic outside your home country. When I was there I was well looked after and tbf Doga was genuine nice guy so hope that if there was / is an issue they’d be supportive
  3. Thanks @Cooper48 I can't believe how much the donor has improved over the last month
  4. As others have said stick to the meds if required but Id say you have a long way to go before you need any work doing. My hairline starting receding before you and just styling my hair differently kept it manageable for another 15 years lol
  5. I'm 2 months in and wash my hair every day with baby shampoo but I think every few days should be fine, the logic for me in doing that is keeping my scalp clean but also as I'm applying a spray product provided by the clinic it avoids any build up.
  6. @Augustine72 Your result looks brilliant, I think as others have said Dr Bicer is an excellent surgeon and for what you required you made the right decision. Enjoy your new hair and you still have a few months for it to thicken up further
  7. Two Month Update So its been two Months since my surgery, I don't know about others but It feels like a lifetime ago now and arguably surreal that I ever had the procedure in the first place however each day in the mirror is a pleasant reminder that I did. As you can see from the photos below, its early days but can already see a huge improvement on my pre transplant position. I did have a fair bit of shedding from week 4 -6 but slowed down and I'm confident I have retained quite a few of my transplanted hairs. I'm also pleased to report my donor seems to be recovering well and have little to no discomfort now in my donor area. Hoping the growth I've seen so far continues Pre Transplant photo 2 Month Photos
  8. Thanks @BboyLimpin When Dr Yaman was making the incisions he definitely had Loupes, I also think the techs were using when they were sorting my hairs for implantation, they gave me a breakdown of the grafts they had sorted but in truth its a little difficult to remember the sorting section as you are head down. It is early days as it was only 8 weeks last Friday but I feel my hairline looks fairly tidy (considering I didn't have prior to the op) but il pop a photo below for you to see
  9. @SaulGood growth is looking real good for 4 months, still plenty of time for it to only get better
  10. I’m in a similar position @LikeAJungle but looks right on track, I can see lots of little hairs from the photos so hopefully another couple of weeks and you be seeing some good growth
  11. Just by means of an update, I will provide more detail as part of my wider transplant review once I reach the 2 -3 month point but in summary, there has been some big improvements, the tenderness is near but all gone and is localised to a few areas (one of which is the area that is visibly patchy). The back looks much better and for the 6-7 week point I feel relatively okay that it will only continue to improve. Photos below;
  12. Looks real good for a 6.5 month mark especially buzz cut 👍
  13. Thanks @LikeAJungle good to hear from you I must have read your post about 20 times before my surgery it was quite reassuring so thanks for that how is the shedding doing now? Mine seems to be calming down but still get the odd few hairs when I apply the spray, looking forward to seeing your next update
  14. Thanks @Random27, donor is improving every day and the growth on top is coming on well for early days, you’ll be sound with Yaman though I just have read a hundred reviews before I booked so it was exactly how I imagined aha
  15. Good luck to you, four surgeries over the past decade must be hard going so I hope this will give you the outcome you are looking for.
  16. Thanks for this @beegee84 that's reassuring , it always a worry around the Donor and I think sometimes made worse by seeing others that look relatively unscathed even they've had a similar graft extraction but hoping and fairly confident as @Gatsby and others have said many times it will be recover I just need to give it time like recipient area.
  17. As others have said best to speak with your clinic but I suffered with quite a bit of dry skin in weeks 2-3 and was given a saline spray by the clinic that I used a few times a day which really helped (also helped keep the itching at bay), from a shampoo perspective I used Johnsons baby shampoo every day from week 2 and by week 4 things seem to be pretty good.
  18. One Month Update So not a huge amount to report at the one month stage, as expected a lot of the new hair has shed, I did think by week 3 I'm doing well here and was fully embracing the buzz cut, a bit of toppik and I would have more than happy but sadly it was not to be and had a fair bit of shedding over the past week. Looking at photos I feel that I'm more bald than ever but just going to embrace the look in the knowing I'm hopefully on the path to success. The only part that concerns me is the donor area in particular is still quite tender but grateful the redness has reduced and I can now sleep as normal but this has only been in the past few days. I'm still quite patchy on the back in quite a few places that don't seem to have hair extracted so wonder if its wider spread shock loss or the effect of the anaesthesia. I also have quite a noticeable line around the back where you can see the extraction area so would welcome any assurances that can be provided on this. I find it crazy how much I have read around donor recovery being described as a few weeks when in reality I know its different for everyone but for quite a few it can be like 3-6 months which I think for me anyway set a false expectation of recovery. Il do another update in a few months time by then hopefully will be starting to see some of the new hairs make an appearance.
  19. I had 4,500 and they were much closer together so like others have said I'd doubt it was 5,000, who did your surgery?
  20. I've just been to Dr Yaman for my transplant a few weeks ago so feel free to take a look at my experience, overall good experience but still early days to see anything close to a result. It's very much tech driven but the hairline design, consult and incisions are done by Dr Yaman. Similar to you looked at Dr Bicer and Fue Capilar as highly rated, only managed to get a quote back Dr Yaman and Dr Bicer but the cost difference was huge and both seemed to have the same level of clinical intervention. The only difference I could argue is it appears Dr Bicer only has one patient per day while I observed 3 while I was having my surgery so imagine Dr Bicer has greater clinical oversight.
  21. Aha, honestly the thoughts I had ranged from full on losing it to telling passport control he had something he shouldn't in his bag but luckily I kept my cool which was definitely for the best lol thanks for the kind words of support though In terms of bandana / Headband I didn't wear one travelling home as the clinic advised to remove on the third day, entirely up to you, but on reflection I would have left on longer. Reason for this being by around the 3rd day your swelling is at its worst and for me it moved down to my eyes and while not painful was quite uncomfortable to open my eyes. For the flight back I would say headband, travel pillow (stops head touching seat) and make sure to take a pack of antihistamines as stops any itching. When do you head out?
  22. Thanks, that was one of the reasons I chose Dr Yaman I wanted it to effectively look like a normal hairline for a man my age who hadn't lost his hair 🤣
  23. @wprevil sure no problem, I have posted my whole experience on another post if it is of any help. But in terms of the flight probably like most of us flown hundreds of times, had those more challenging flights but you tend to get on with it, difference this time for me was I'd just spent a lot of money and gone through a lot to get this stage and didn't want it ruined. But in short all was fine from a transfer to the airport perspective, Istanbul as you'd expect is a busy airport you have to go through 3 security checkpoints and depending on your gate it can be quite a walk so again normally id be pacing through the airport no problem, but as you are trying to avoid a sweat it takes a little longer but no real problems. For me biggest issue was the flight, I booked a window seat as I thought I won't need to move and the chance of anyone accidently catching me is pretty slim, I even thought before take off I might be in luck as the seat next to me was vacant but just as the last few passengers join guy and his wife get on next to me. Seemed friendly enough smiled I said hello, thought this was going to be alright. He then started moaning to the attendant he wanted a window seat, obviously wasn't going to happen as it was a fairly full plane. To begin with he keeps taking photos / filming out the window putting this camera right in front of my face, no respect for boundaries and continues to do this despite me asking him to stop, he then turns the air con off above my head I said no I need this on, he must have messed with it no end of times during the flight and I kept turning it back on. It then gets worse as he has family behind so keeps standing up and kneeling on the seat to speak to them regularly getting very close to me. This would be frustrating fit and well but when you have an exposed head that you are trying to protect its unbelievably irritating and unnerving. I argued to myself should I have asked the flight crew for some help but what would they have done and would it have made it worse? I managed to survive until landing when again phone fully in front of me filming out the window when we come to land. Once we have landed the guy then blatantly starts filming me and my head while on the phone to a family member, he spoke a different language so I couldn't understand. I was that angry by the time I got off this flight I have no idea what my blood pressure would have been and in truth if I was fit and well I would have been much more direct in stating his behaviour is unacceptable but as you feel vulnerable and want to avoid conflict at all costs puts you in a very difficult spot. I hope this is a worst case by far and luckily didn't lead to any damage but wow was a challenging flight
  24. @Patricio looking good man, how is your donor doing? Mine is still quite patchy hoping with time it recovers
