  1. Just give it more time. If you look deep in the forum most everyone that questions their results at this time have it come in later. No way to tell until 10-12 months.
  2. I think it is has a lot to do with your skin type. I’m 7 weeks and it’s still red. I mostly wear a hat but with holidays coming up I’ve been thinking about explaining this. Most people know nothing about hair medicine or transplants so just going to tell people I’ve been putting medicine on my head to help with hair loss and it’s making it red. Im not sure where you are but I’m sure everyone has noticed I’m losing my hair over the last 10 years so easy to say it for me. The post transplant months sure are hard!
  3. I just sent an email them: consultabsolutehairclinic@gmail.com They got back to me in less than 2 hours. I sent pictures I got from another clinic so when they sent back all the details (estimated grafts, medicine recommendations and open dates).
  4. Starting to look really good. Impressive at only 4 months! Just going to get thicker.
  5. If you could share a close up pic of the donor that would be helpful. No identifiable features needed. Thanks.
  6. It's always nice to have the HT drs weigh in on these concerns because they see so many patients. I have quite a bit of shock loss on the left side (right looks almost 100% back). It seems to be slowly coming back and I'm about 7 weeks. Yours looks good and I wouldn't worry about it at all. Just a heads up that it might get worse. Mine did from 4-6 weeks. Some of it was the fact the hair around the shockloss spot was growing so it was looking darker, providing a bigger contrast with the shockloss area. Again, I have waded though hundreds of forums and this seems quite common but resolves withing 3-4 months. Happy growing!
  7. Looking good. Exciting times seeing all that hair. Happy growing!
  8. Based on all of your threads and posts you should most likely not get one. The risk you assess, the medical limitations and the stress seem to really outweigh the positives. You seem to work a comb over well. If that is too much to lose then why consider this as an option. This is a great community of people that have made the risk reward decision or are realistically weighing it. You clearly have made up your mind it is too risky.
  9. Looking good! I always wondered about otoplasty since I have big ears but heard it was a tough recovery. Way to go get it. Hope it gets better soon!
  10. Looks on track to me. I'm at almost 7 weeks and there is still redness but it is slowly fading. The numbness was more of a surprise. I still have a lot of numbness but I think it is very slowly getting better. I wasn't expecting that but I think it is fairly normal. At this point, just trying to occupy my time to get through the 2-3 month period while it heals and not much growing going on. Good luck!
  11. That’s a lot of growth over the last 4 weeks. Looks like you are right on track. Looking good!
  12. I hear you brother. We are near the same age and I spent the last 15+ years doing all of that. Not sure what your crown looks like but we have similar loss in the front. For me, once I evaluated the risk reward it was a very easy decision (with the risk being minimized by picking a reputable surgeon). I'm at 6 weeks, I have significant donor area and recipient area (native and transplanted) shock loss. I'm definitely in the ugly duckling phase and look worse than when I started. While I don't like how I look right now, I have zero regrets. I also still believe all of this is temporary based on all the research I have done. I weighed the risk-reward and it was a good decision for me. It may not turn out but the risk-reward for me is still the same and worth it.
  13. Surgery is all about personal risk-reward. If the reward doesn't outweigh the risk for you personally then you probably shouldn't do it. I'm sure all of us here evaluated the risk but determined the percentage chances of issues versus positive outcomes were in our favor and chance of issues were worth it for our own reward (e.g., looking better, less self conscious, not wearing a hat all the time, looking younger, etc...)
  14. It looks like you are right on track. Your donor does look great. As most say on this forum months 2 and 3 are the hardest. I'm at 6 weeks and trying not to look in the mirror daily because nothing happens in a day. I guess we can just hope for some early regrowth!
  15. I’m 5 weeks and my donor is still a little tender and I have patchy looking shock loss. I think it just takes time completely heal. The nerves were also affected which seems to cause sensitivity.
  16. Thanks for sharing. Looks great. Just have to take it easy and wait and see. I’m at 5 weeks so right in the middle of wait and see. Not fun to look in the mirror but trust the process and the good dr.
  17. I was taking topical, which I stopped two weeks before the procedure. My doctor prescribed the oral form and had me start taking it once I got it - 4 days post surgery.
  18. Hi Everyone, I'm a little over 1 month (33 days). Over the past week there has been significant shedding. Since I didn't get a full shave I can tell there are a lot of transplanted and native hairs coming out. I also have quite a bit of patchiness in the donor area. Again, while I don't like the look, I think this is just shock loss. It seems to have slowed down over the last few days. Not a lot of hair left in transplant region so maybe I am nearing the end of the phase. Definitely duckling phase here. The redness seems to be fading a bit. I have a few ingrown hairs or bumps on the front region. I don't think these are of concern.
  19. Thanks for sharing. They really have it dialed in there. Very similar experience to mine. That first day of hair washing is something else. Good luck with your recovery. The works looks super clean with a really nice hairline.
  20. I used the MLVOC Travel Pillow 100% Pure Memory Foam. I’m sure a towel would work but this thing was nice because there was no chance my head was roll out of it. I move a lot in my sleep. It’s also good on the plane. It’s bulky but that’s why it works well for support.
  21. Wow that is a great result! Thanks for sharing all the details of your story!
  22. Bravo! Your 8 month pics are awesome. I've got my fingers crossed for an outcome like this!
