  1. Here’s another in harsher lighting for contrast
  2. not using any products such as concealer or Toppik and so on and furthermore never will 😊. My hair can look somewhat grey on top depending on the light, but I am pretty grey at the sides. I also haven’t dyed my hair but it’s an option I am considering when the crown is grown out after the 2nd op. Here are pics taken after shaving it down. The hair will look more dense when grown out of course. The donor looks ok I guess but let me know what you think.
  3. Right 7 and a half months post op. Pic dated exactly 7 months post op. Shaved it down to a 6 guard on top and 3 at the sides last week again cos of the crown. note could not resist changing my user name to a bad pun. 😆
  4. Some people are late growers so no need to panic yet. Go to Turkey for the HT?
  5. looking good here- the thick wavy hair calibre contributes to a great density. Looks natural and a milestone reached! How is the crown looking?
  6. good coverage coming in here. considering your starting point I would be happy enough.
  7. Sound advice above, but would like to add that topical could put the hair into a shed, so personally, would just let the hair do its thing until it has grown out then can try it. Of course it would be better to try topical beforehand and see how you respond first, rather than using for the first time after surgery.
  8. Looks good- also like the hairline design and nice balance of grafts spread over 2 days, so should provide a good cosmetic improvement and leaving a smaller 2nd op for improved density. Donor looks thick also. Happy growing
  9. Surgical involvement: The surgeon must be involved in every procedure, from the consultation and design to the procedure itself. We understand some surgeons delegate certain aspects of the procedure. For example, technicians may extract the grafts or implant the grafts. The surgeon must be involved in one of those aspects of surgery @Melvin- Admin so that means that certain Drs on the recommended list will be automatically removed as they do not fit the above criteria?
  10. That’s a great strip job- can’t see the scar at all from the pics. Minox can cause a shed -as can Fin- if taking for the first time. Give it 6 months and see how it goes. For the ugly duckling, in my situation, I started a new job so threw myself into that, so take up a new hobby or something to occupy your time.
  11. I never had one before and don’t really feel it’s suitable for myself personally, so guess it is a matter of choice.
  12. In your opinion do you think the v pattern/widow’s peak is suitable for everyone or is it largely dependent on facial structure?
  13. Sure no worries. To add, my eyes were covered too for my surgery but I was so heavily sedated it didn’t bother me. It’s probably a Thai standard thing. You could ask them to lift it I’m sure no problem.
  14. These are all good choices. I went to Dr Laorwong and am happy with the results. Dr Patty offers incredible value and some of the result on the forum looked promising also. As you are in the US presumably however it’s a long way to go, and Nader is a solid choice also, although would research cases with higher Norwoods first. Furthermore, as other posters will tell you, location should not be the primary factor for HT choice, so go with your gut as it determines what you will see in the mirror for the foreseeable. Dr Laorwong is good with higher NW cases, and from personal experience, would be my choice, so perhaps you could come and make a holiday of it too. Good Luck!
  15. Hairline refinement looks good here. It’s great when you know what you are looking for. Can see you have a fade but not the temple points? Did you get non-shave for that? Any pics of the work done to them? The crown? Would be great to see. will be following this one
  16. you’re good craic posting an ‘article’ from the Daily Mail. 😆
  17. @Rawyn Thanks for the reply. So they decided on BHT for what reason? Your donor didn’t have enough grafts? Did they give you an examination with hair caliber and FU count etc? How many chest hair FU they use? Be interesting to see how this one turns out.
  18. Good write up. The work looks neatly dense-packed overall, but also wonder why they scattered so few grafts in the crown. 5100 should be enough for at least a few hundred in the crown if they are going for the mega session approach. What’s also interesting is the use of chest hair. Usually beard hair is used after scalp, then body. What was their rationale here? Hard to tell about any over harvesting, but from the photos, look clean and spaced out. So according to the literature, it’ s €5000 for 4000 grafts and another €1000 for anything on top of that? Interesting case here so keep posting.
  19. Well we can see now that your username is somewhat ironic😊. Your hairloss pattern is interesting in that you are thinning diffusely, however the hairline is still intact! That is an insane amount of grafts-did the Dr inform you during the consultation you would need so many? Were you happy with this number? Did they provide the density per square cm? From what you are saying: Dr. Pittella’s approach with high NW cases is that he assumes there is nothing at the top (even if there are some hair) the Dr goes for volume and may in fact implant over existing hair? Clearly must be a very skilled surgeon to implant such a quantity, but can’t help wondering if you really needed so many to get an optimal result. Anyway will be watching this one with interest.
