  1. Panine is pretty reputable. No doubt Konior is exceptional, but his prices are too high for most people.
  2. It looks like at the time of that video, he had only 2500 grafts extracted. If you're saying 3-4 guard and the outline is still visible that sounds like a major commitment to keeping your hair long. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.
  3. Thanks for your response. So you guys aren't typically concerned about scarring? What is the shortest length you can wear your hair? The thing holding me back from getting a transplant is fear of scarring. I'm worried I'd just be trading one problem for another.
  4. The prevailing wisdom on the internet is that you will typically need to wear your hair at a 1 or max 2 to conceal FUE scars. Of course, results may vary from person to person, but this length is typically what is mentioned. However, if you look at the results in this video at 7:15, the individual has shaved his head down to a 2 and the outline of the FUE scars is clearly visible. This individual was a patient of Dr. Panine, who is a reputable surgeon that gets great results, so I don't think this is the result of a bad surgery. For people who have had an FUE surgery what guard can you shave your head to without visible results? Are the results in the video atypical? Thank you for any insight!
  5. I see they added some grafts to the mid-scalp as well. what was the reasoning behind that? it seemed like most of your noticeable hair loss was on the temples.
  6. hairthere, is smp effective enough that if someone shaved their head with a razor they could conceal the fue scars?
  7. woah that april 4th pic on the front is phenomenal. congratulations.
  8. Sounds reasonable. I just worry it's going to get locked into endless experimentation like the countless other "advancements" that never seem to emerge.
  9. if you got smp would it be possible to conceal the scars well enough to shave your head completely?
  10. wondering how much more evidence is needed before surgeons can start incorporating this into procedures. i'm not expecting this to be a cure, but even a 10% reduction in scarring or hair regrowth in donor areas would be phenomenal.
  11. is it possible to post a current pic? i'm very curious to see how the transplant held up over time.
  12. this looks really solid. if i were looking at these pics somewhere else and not on a hair transplant board there would be no way i would think this was a transplant.
  13. If this is so promising why aren't there more experiments going on at other clinics? The pics we've seen can be misleading and we might just all be falling for confirmation bias.
  14. Was the transplanted area completed bald before the transplant or was there some hair there? Looks great.
