  1. Slightly off topic, but linked to the running of the site…. I do wonder if there could be another way to raise money, for the running of this site, rather than surgeons paying for membership. Could we, as punters, pay a membership instead? What sort of money would we be talking?
  2. Is it normal for the transplanted hair to look thicker and longer than the rest? I mean, I suppose this is good, but not an indication of what will grow back, once I’ve shed?
  3. I’ve no idea what that is, but I went back to work (a roofer) 4 days after surgery…. I think, if you’re careful, you can go back sooner than you think….
  4. Hi lads. I’ve got a bit of dry skin in the recipient area. You think I should just let it do its thing, or should I be applying some kind of moisturiser? Day 16. waiting to hear back from clinic but thought I’d ask your thoughts…. cheers
  5. Sorry, didn’t see the zoomed in one! What don’t you like about them now? They look like normal eyebrows to me!
  6. Good morning guys. i will continue to share my evolution with you all! I am now 14 days post op. I am now leaving the house without a hat as it just looks like I’ve shaved my head, to the untrained eye! Everything seems to be going well. at what stage should I expect the dreaded shed? Does everything look as it should for day 14? https://youtube.com/shorts/DrIpPQSF-no?si=ghE6Bexzos9cthVm
  7. Obviously, some of what I’m seeing is native hair and some is transplanted… Don’t suppose there is any way of seeing which is which?! Also looks like the density matches the hair behind it pretty well…
  8. Day 10 and all the scabs have gone. I’ve noticed that hair in the corners looks longer. Right at the front seems shorter. Suppose that’s just what happens! I think Bruno paid great attention to the direction my hair goes, in different places. I remember him showing me the whirls and how important it is to follow them…. redness still there but will hopefully fade, soonish!
  9. He did tell me he wasn’t willing to sacrifice the way he works at the moment. That he enjoys the way he works now and trusts everyone who works with him. He doesn’t appear to be driven by financial incentives either. A top bloke. Thanks for the podcast, Melvin.
  10. Putting his great work to one side, I found him such a positive guy to be around! Always smiling and always has your best interests at heart. Can’t believe he’s not recommended on here! 😮
  11. ☝️what he said! It’s the perfect naturalness in my eyes. you seem cool with it anyway. 👌
  12. Looks pretty damn perfect from here! “More sense”? I think it’s bang on!
  13. I was just mindful he might not want to link the two! But I’m perhaps being a bit daft! His band is good and he has a great voice!
  14. Hi everyone! Hope you’re well. these scabs…. I’ve been ignoring them really and just gently patting my recipient area with the shampoo the clinic gave me. I did just do a wash and slowly started massaging a few off! I’m day 8 now. Should I be being a tad more forceful with them at this point? I few of the bigger ones are rock hard! any advice?
  15. I hope I haven’t spoken out of turn! He may not want people making the connection…..
  16. This is great mate! Quite the journey you’ve had. So weird when I first saw you on here as I follow your band on Instagram! I assume you are 100% happy and done with your hair journey?
  17. I’m not qualified to say, but I imagine the general thickness of a patients hair comes into play here. OP seems to have quite fine hair which, I assume, gives more softer, natural results…. I’m only a roofer and could be completely wrong about this!
  18. Ideally I’d have liked another couple of days but I’m a roofer, self employed, and I’m skint! I’m 7 days now and feel like the scabs are forming. I’m wearing a loose fitting beanie, and I’ve taken my saline spray with me in case!
  19. I’m interested in how @Melvin- Adminfound him, as a man. I found him extremely likeable! Not just saying that because he was my surgeon, but he had a nice warmth about him. A family man. I sound like I’m fan boying but I was so glad to find out he was a good bloke!
  20. Are you in the UK? don’t think we can get it here….
