  1. @NorwoodKnight Best I can do for now! I have quite wavy and wiry hair anyway. Interesting that there a gap with a bit of stubble in it! Been like that a few week and won’t grow. I’m not bothered by it though…
  2. I keep trying to but my phone goes blurry! Any tricks or tips you can give me? I don’t know anyone with a decent camera!
  3. Hi guys. I’m 14.5 weeks post op. Just a brief update….. feeling good and looking decent for this time, I reckon. Small surgery but I think I’m going to be pleased…. night before transplant. 👇 today 👇 Video of how things are looking… 👇 https://youtube.com/shorts/2vHDVhElsGg?si=7Po_C53tjnPzmGRP opinions are welcome! Cheers all.
  4. Bruno Pinto hates that it’s getting like this. Says he has celebs offering all kinds of money to get ahead of the que but refuses to do it. We talk of ethics. £900 for a consult isn’t ethical. But, like extortionate holiday prices, during school holidays, that’s the way most people want the market to work. The more we need and want something, the more expensive it gets.
  5. Thank you, mate. Yes, I’m very pleased so far. I can see lots of hairs waiting to come through properly. I think my fine hair may help with a natural outcome too. when measuring, my hairline is roughly 0.5-1cm lower, which is what I was after. My passport photo (pre op!) shows the subtle difference in height has made a nice difference! I also didn’t want an exaggerated temple points, so we decided not to touch them. It feels age appropriate and natural, as you point out. Fingers crossed, I won’t need a touch up! Plenty of time ahead…
  6. Trust him! He’s a great bloke and will look after you well. He’ll be honest with what you should expect. I think he would rather you take Finasteride every day though. Even a smaller dose. He’s a big advocate of minoxidil so that will please him. Bruno is one of the best! good luck.
  7. First time I’ve really noticed a difference in my hairline, at 13 weeks. Feeling pretty good about it. Going to Spain on a stag do tomorrow so need to keep out of the sun, I guess! anyway, so far, so good, I think…. would love some opinions….
  8. I think it looks pretty good…. Maybe a tad “pluggy”…? But you’re still only 7 months. Could it be the lack of singles? I know you were worried about that early on. You’ve dark hair and pale skin, too. More difficult to get soft results, from what I understand… 🤷🏻‍♂️
  9. Thanks! Yeah, it does look like a bit of early growth…. So far, so good!
  10. Morning lads. Today marks 12 weeks since my little transplant with Bruno Pinto. It feels like a nice place to be! I continue with 1mg Finasteride and 2.5 minoxidil, daily. I think im seeing changes already. I’ve had some great chats with friends about it. Most want to do it but aren’t quite “bothered” enough to go through with it, or get on medication. We are all different! My intention is to grow my hair long again. Anyway, pics to follow and I’d love to hear your thoughts.
  11. Don’t most immediately post op pics show this? This is mine… there’s non on the immediate first few rows but lots behind…. I’m not sure this is a big deal…
  12. This is all very odd. As a poster has said, could it be that you seem particularly obsessed with having DUPA that the doctor decided you weren’t a good candidate, emotionally, for him? I don’t wish to sound rude, and I know nothing, but your hair looks tremendous in the donor area… 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️
  13. I really like his work. Had in not gone to Pinto, I would have pushed for Cuoto. pinto was very complimentary of him too. You had a bigger area to cover than me and received less grafts. Normally I’d question that, but with Couto, it’s going to be outstanding. Not sure how he does it really!
  14. He said something about he has strong convictions and he’s a “shark not a minnow”🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ I think he’d be best served not having surgery at all.
  15. OK, mate. I would not go with a surgeon I didn’t trust. I suggest you cancel the appointment. The questions have clearly upset you and this is a bad start to your relationship with the clinic. I’m neither a shark, or a minnow. I’m a 40 year old bloke navigating life the best I can.
  16. Every person on this forum has asked many questions, mate. Done lots of researched and second guessed everything. if you’ve got other issues with the clinic, then that’s fair enough. why do you think the dentist asked why you are over weight? Did you not ask before you walked out? Perhaps he or she might have said why they thought it was important?
  17. Utter nonsense. You’ve booked a clinic who’ results are good and you like them. These questions are part of their process. You can choose to cancel if you want, because you don’t like their questions, but I think it would be silly. Nowt to do with convictions, or being a boot kisser! Good grief!
  18. I nearly went with Ted, but didn’t due to the scepticism of this forum. At the time, he was very reasonably priced and extremely thorough in my online consultation. I’ve I’ve the surgeons I consulted with, I liked Ted the most, as a person. It’s good that he’s finally being accepted by this forum.
  19. Just fill it in!!! Christ, does it really matter….
  20. I live in the UK, mate. Our healthcare isn’t the best. I dont think they will time to communicate with mi surgeon. Nice thought though!
  21. What if my surgeon tells me one thing, but my general doctor tells me another?
  22. Hi guys. I started oral min 6 weeks ago. 2.5mg dose. The last week I’ve been feeling very tired and had a few dizzy spells. I’m contemplating stopping min, to see if I feel better. After just 6 or 7 weeks, I assume it won’t be at the detriment of my hair? I’m 8 weeks post op and all is going well. I would like to stop oral minoxidil. I’m fine with Finasteride.
