  1. oh so you might dont even need it wouldnt it be smarter to pause finasteride before you make an aggressive hairline? in case yoi really dont want to take the drug anymore and you also start receeding?
  2. norwood 6? really? or do you mean norwood 5? 7000 grafts on a norwood 6 guy, id say in those cases the hairline is dense but the more you get closer to the crown the less dense it gets and the crown almost always has the diffuse thinning balding look or is left completely bald, so in regard to the crown its not even an illusion of density anymore and the dip behind the crown? there wont be any folicles left to cover it. even in that famous irish guy who went to eugenix and has a terrific result they let the dip untouched and hoped he gained hair there with finasteride (which he did), if i remember correctly. so to get full coverage at that norwoodstage id say you need at least 12000 grafts, depending hair characteristics etc of course. otherwise you need to make compromises, by letting the crown and the dip (more) bald or starting the hairline basically at the midscalp.
  3. i think considering his age (almost 60) its safe that he wont end up as a high norwood. maybe sth between norwood 3a and norwood 4a, dont think his vertex will go bald.
  4. @Vann “FUT is accepted more with people with long hair but it really varies between age (skin elasticity) but people don’t understand that. Yes you can potentially yield more grafts but it always varies case by case. „ age influence skin elasticity?
  5. isnt there some form of benchmark? how do doctors determine if the scalp is considered elastic or not what do you mean with extra skin?
  6. cant fut also destroy folicles that are in the exogen phase?
  7. are there any legit studies on graft survival in both techniques? what are the exat reason behind the claom that more grafts are available with fut? higher graft survival rate?
  8. also is it true the scar tends to less visible on people with rather fair skin?
  9. i heard it works best on people with elastic scalp - but how do i know if i my scalp is noticable elastic?
  10. not more then 600 imho awesome that finasteride holds your hairloss for so long..would you mind sharing what norwood your older msle relatives are and if you got any severe sideeffects from finasteridd?
  11. so apparently if you have very flexible scalp you are a good candidate for fut but how do i actually now if my scalp is considered elastic? are there any objective measurements or tests?
  12. the difference in density really is visible, i think if the rest of the sides would have the same density it wouldnt be that bad, the problem is not thr density itself but the contrast
  13. is the rest of your family norwood 7? do you expect that the crown dips down in the future? that the sides go lower?
  14. doesnt look bad to me. overhasting only looks really sh*t when you start to see clear geometrical figures, like one example you could see a clear rectangle on the back of the head which was really not so good. but thats my opinion
